Guys might like him but he sucks at developing talent. Bohm is the only one who’s gotten better Stott has regress. Marsh is the same player the angles traded. Rojas still tries swinging for the fences and has an elongated swing since ST. At some point your hitting coach needs to actually make a difference in the guys we are developing. We know what schwarber, Harper, Turner, and Castellanos can do.

That’s more games then they were playing 37-14 ball at. I would argue their inconsistent play started when they went out to Colorado. That to me is when the season started changing. Since that Colorado Rockies series in Denver they are 32-35. Again 41% of your season you’ve been this. At some point in time there is a reason to believe the Phillies may have peaked in April and May. Maybe they get hot in the postseason and they go on a run and they win a World Series. I’ve seen crazier crap happen. But Teams who sucked in April’s and May like padres, dbacks are better teams now. Dodgers will get betts, muncy and Yamamoto back and frankly when healthy might have been better to begin with. i’ll say this watching this team from the end of May until now they feel very much like a Joe Girardi managed team. What they look like right now is how they played under Joe Girardi. They are going through the motions and one aspect is letting down another they can’t figure their way out if the tail spin. They’ll give you hope for a game or two then revert. Exactly what happened with Girardi

I’m not. They faced 19 consecutive playoff teams. They went 6-13. And the one series they won was a dodgers team down betts, muncy, Yamamoto and some other players. Some of these games they just got blasted. We can boast they have a 37-29 record vs. teams over .500 but really they are 21-23 since June 1st against them. They also had 8 wins when the padres, Mets and cardinals were playing like crap in April and early May. i don’t think we are as bad as we’ve looked since the A’s series. But i also don’t think we are anywhere close to the type of run we got on in April and most of May. I don’t think the SP was ever going to keep the pace they were on. Ranger, Nola and Sanchez were due for a regression imo the dbacks are a better constructed roster. They have the SP with Kelly and Rodriguez back. They have a solid bullpen (imo their weakness). Their lineup doesn’t have the brand names but they have depth and guys that fit their roles. And Carroll is begin to heat up after being bad most of the year. I’d be surprised (unless some major injuries hit) if they don’t get back to the nlcs.
