Nice to see Stott and Marsh getting hits and if Harper can get going then we'd be in decent shape. I think Turner will be next up to start collecting a bunch of hits. Very nice to get that W to start the home stand. Need to get the 2nd one tonight after which we can roll the dice again and hope for a 8-6 type game tomorrow.
August 27, 20241 yr Be willing to bet there’s a better shot he joins the Phillies than the Mets (assuming Middleton is willing to pay which based off rumors last year i think they’d be in on him)

I’d be surprised if he leaves the Yankees after trading for him and the team having success. However i do think if he leaves the Yankees it’s not for the Mets like reported. Especially when last year the Phillies were the hot rumor and Phillies were willing to give Yamamoto $300+ mil.
August 27, 20241 yr Anyone else notice after Harper’s walk off last night that no one jumped on him or really made any contact with him? I wonder if he is injured. It would explain a lot.
August 27, 20241 yr I’m in Chicago on business till tomorrow. Do I risk getting shot or stabbed and go watch the worst team in baseball play tonight? Tickets are stupid cheap
August 27, 20241 yr Or do I stay at the hotel and eat an overpriced meal and get an overpriced beer or two at the Irish pub, then watch the Phillies in my room?

Pretty terrible matchup too. Rangers are done for and the white Sox are awful. But you’d get to see crochet tonight for the Sox. I’d probably just watch the Phillies cause that game is likely really boring and not very good baseball
