Feels like it’s going to come down to which bullpen holds up in the end

The last couple of years, in each series, there is a game where the Phillies just lay it on the opponent's starting pitching with a crooked number.....I'm feeling it this game and like in the 1st or 2nd inning.

He is giving up at least 3 home runs

3 solo HRs and nothing else works.

we really have struggled in citi field over the years. Manaea has been good this year but the Phillies have hit him well over the years. Quintana has really been hard on the Phillies. We forget that 2022 run when he was with the cardinals he shut down the Phillies and it was the cardinals bullpen that imploded.

The one benefit that  Nola  pitching in citi Field is it’s not a Homerun  Park. That Park plays big. So he really should be able to keep the ball in the stadium. If he’s giving up home runs there then we are definitely losing this game.

This is what worries me

Don’t love Bohm hitting 5th. Hays and Sosa both playing. i get it but i think Sosa’s chase rate is not good

I am feeling this way, either the Phillies are gonna go out there and get blasted or they’re gonna somehow win a close game. I don’t think there’s gonna be any in between. Like I don’t think they’re a blow them out. And I don’t think the Mets are gonna win a close game. I think this comes down to either Nola just gets hammered by the Mets or the Phillies somehow pull out a close victory late

Certainly possible. Got lit up last time at citi field and his era with 6 or more days off is bad

We all know it's coming. Probably after one or two innings and then the floor drops out

Tbh 1st 3 innings is going to be big. If the Phillies can take the crowd away i think it bodes well for them. If the Mets get momentum and the crowd is allowed to just go into more of a frenzy we are likely getting blasted.

ya feels like nola is going to snowball

Well. There goes my prediction.

Yeah feel good about either getting blasted or win close. Feels like nola on the verge of unraveling (well helped they overturned that call— looked like it was right to overturn it)

He at least caught it.

Absolutely teeing off on Nola.

Mets sitting on his fastball. I’d start pitching backwards with his curveball and change up.

Frankly if I’m the Mets I’d pitch around Harper and see if Castellanos can continue beating me

Well that didn't happen

Yeah Harper swung at two pitches he had no chance at doing anything with. He’s seen 6 pitches today and 3 maybe even 4 with how the ump is calling it would’ve been balls. That’s on Harper for being impatient. He gave them that out. Frankly i think they are gonna lose. When he’s doing that the rest of the team tends to follow

Nola's gonna get rocked, it's just a question of when. Probably next inning.

Doesn't matter what nola does if they cant hit

Bohm got a hit. He's just slow as crap and shouldn’t have tried for 2nd base. Or slide head first not legs first. He’s tall so more chance you are tagged out sliding that way then head first
