As far as their chances this year, it’s a 162 game season. Every hitter in the lineup is going to hone in around their 3 year averages for average, power, obp, etc. That means they’ll get more from some (Bohm, Turner, Harper), less from others (Sosa, Schwarber at .275). All of these hitters oscillate around their mean more than the typical MLB hitter (ie they are more hot and cold). Nothing everyone doesn’t already know. So the only question mark here is if they are hot or cold in October, which is completely unpredictable.

The bullpen isn’t good this time around, but that is fixable at the deadline. It always is. The question will be if it’s worth fixing.

The real question lies in the perceived strength of the team…the starting rotation. Will Wheeler and Nola settle into their career averages and we just need to be patient? Or is age irreversibly setting in? Sanchez, Luzardo, and Suarez all have high highs….but they just are not established, steady, known commodities. You just can’t know how many quality starts, dominant starts, and crap starts any of these guys are going to deliver this year. We learn more about each of these pitchers and what we can expert from them moving forward (and I include Wheeler and Nola in this) with each passing start.

I was thinking that in the 1st inning... We aren't even in the inning he implodes yet

Phillies relying on guys like Ruiz and Ross is comical.

The fact half our bullpen shouldn’t even be in the majors is laughable. Hernandez, Ross, Ruiz and banks shouldn’t even be major league relievers. They aren’t good and yet those 4 make up half the bullpen

What a joke of a baseball team

Way to go Dave!

Gee who could've predicted Nola would suck complete ass besides everyone outside of the Phillies front office? Dude was beyond cooked last year

With Nola, you just gotta let him get his usual 4 walks, 5 runs and 2 bombs out of the way then he's fine after. You just got to let him settle in. He's fine. Plus its too cold, he only pitches good when he's sweating his arse off and its 90 degrees with 70+ % humidity. You guys are being too hard on the guy. Topper and Dave have reassured us. We're fine there and the bullpen is fine. Everything can be fixed at the deadline when they're 10 games under 500.

61-59 in their last 120 games. About 75% of a season. They basically been playing like the 2021 Phillies under Joe Girardi

Marsh may be injured, season over

Ah yes the phantom injury so they can put him in IL and send him down to the minors for rehab instead of outright sending him down. Coincidence as Weston Wilson is on the comeback trail

i know it's a long season, but the phillies current situation.

We haven’t gotten to the bullpen yet

Losing Castellanos isn’t good. Has a hip flexor

We’ve had 1 hit since the first inning lol

Tyler Fitzgerald out here playing like Larry Fitzgerald

Who is this Marlins team? Bunch of no names. Phillies should put together a sweep here.
