Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

It's sounding like you don't have much faith in the offense or the team at this point.

It's the NFC Championship Game.  They're not going to be throwing into double coverage just to make one player happy.  Yikes.

Are we sure?  have seen WR's like Brown cause just that to happen. I am not saying it will happen, but it now is added to the list of concerns I have.

I'm definitely feeling a C1/C3 day with inside leverage on 1st/2nd down - given that you want Purdy to try to beat you deep and outside the numbers while SF specializes attacking the short/middle of the field.  This also has the benefit of hiding TJ in coverage, and getting the SS closer to the LOS to help against the run (or buzzing the middle).  C2 is nice against the run, but it isolates TJ up the seam and I'm not particularly worried about Purdy considering throws into the turkey hole.  On 3rd and long Gannon can probably go back to his bread&butter C4/C6 stuff, but tackling becomes very important as the underneath stuff will be easy.

Sweat/Reddick are in for a long day with all the TE/FB fly motion and jet sweeps, as I think SF will be looking to outflank our penny front and beat TJ to the edges.

Long story short - defend the middle against the pass, and seal the outside against the run.

Was going to comment on the coach of the year argument. I admit daboll with the giants was interesting, Doug getting on a roll and winning a playoff game with Jacksonville, and niners with changing qbs.

I think Siris argument could of been he won the best division in football and the number one seed.

The other 2 nfc west and afc south aren't that great of divisions. Afc south is just atrocious unless Tennessee does well. The nfc west was supposed to be competitive but wasn't very good this year. Seahawks surprised, cardinals were OK not great and rams were a dumpster fire.

I actually don't delete emails, so I still have everything in my email archives lol. Your help back then, with Dave is still really appreciated, I just wish Dave had been able to come through with 'legal' and get us that database.

I guess it worked out in the end though. It gave us all a fresh start... well, for the most part. I did adjust everyone's post counts and I am re-creating the LII GDT. lol Had we gotten the database, we wouldn't have a clear starting point here, which we have... April 20th, 2020 at 8:00 PM Eastern (when I opened up for registrations, if I recall correctly).. actually, I'll have to look back and see if I opened registrations a little earlier than that. I know that posting wasn't opened up until a couple of hours after registrations opened up.

Who would have thought when I was banned on the old board, and the lengths I had to go to get it over turned would have turned out to be blessing in disguise when they decided to close the official board.  Glad I was able to provide you the information I acquired during that to get this thing rolling.

Would have been cool to be able to migrate the old board as the archives are somewhat a pain to navigate, but I think a fresh start was the best thing.

I would gladly look at this every day just to know you 2 have to as well

But this is an important decision.  Not to be rushed.  I'm excited to see what @downundermike has in mind

EDIT: BTW the "see through dress" I'm talking about is much, MUCH, worse than the above.  Be afraid...

I open the blog and THIS is the first thing I see post-breakfast. 🤮 I seriously don't understand why this country now thinks glorifying obesity is a good thing. Aretha Franklin was far more talented, classier, and bigger than this broad yet she never came out in a catsuit with her fupa hanging out.

Our country is as fat and lazy as it's ever been - it's easier to tell everyone that it's OK to be fat and lazy than it is to do the work.  Human nature to take the easy way out

Yup, they're f'n disgraces to our team. They look to try and cause controversy and dissension within the team where there is none. We finally get the true #1 receiver that we've been wanting for years and the disgraceful media act like this. It's like they want AJ to be a diva. F'n nuts and they should be ashamed of themselves.

They have to fill space and air and get clicks

It's not like the match-up is against the DAL who everyone should be familiar with, it's SF who we rarely go against and hardly ever in the playoffs.

I know Doug did a great job his 1st year but he shouldn't be up for coach of the year.

Let's not forget they were 4-8 at one point.  All these awards......coach of the year, MVP, OPOY, DPOY, etc go to guys that were consistently good all season.  Yes Doug finished strong but you can't disregard they weren't very good majority of the year.

Shanahan should win it. I've constantly heard the media and fans say it's the most complete roster but still being able to win with a backup QB is impressive.

Daboll should be 2nd.  Outside of Barkley the skill position players aren't that great and they've been above .500 all year.

Not really that long ago.

We're reaching a tipping point in society and it's time to either fix things or buckle up and never return to what should be acceptable.  Give an inch, take a mile.  It's not just body positivity, it's everything in today's culture.

-Obesity is not only acceptable, it's openly pushed as being healthy.

-Being "anti-fat" or just wanting people to be fit and healthy is also racist.

-Not being attraced to a fat person is fat phobic

-Arehta Franklin is now on the verge of being cancelled because of her song Natural Woman because it's harmful and there is "no such thing as a natural woman" : https://outsider.com/american-entertainment/music-2/aretha-franklin-iconic-song-natural-woman-faces-calls-be-removed-streaming-being-harmful/

I could go on and on.

This is real.  It's an all out push for some unknown reason.  Who TF thinks that woman looks good, is healthy and should be a role model?

GMFB just had a segment by Peter Schrager…he said the X factor in this game could be two Eagles defensive assistant coaches (Scudder and McDonald).  They both were defensive coaches for Iowa State for three of the years that Brock Purdy was quarterback there.

Big deal or little deal?  I thought it was interesting…

After looking at the timelines of the coaches, I did stumble across something interesting.

Tom Manning who was the offensive coordinator during Purdy's time at Iowa State, was a player at Mount  Union when Siriani was the DB's coach.

The argument for Doug is that the Jags were really bad and dysfunctional last year. Doug was starting with that team - talented but dysfunctional - last summer. Giants were talent poor but I don't know that they (Giants) were as culturally messed up as the Jags under Urban Meyer.
