Marlon has the leg up based on his tenure. Ojomo having inside/out versatility probably gives him a leg up on Street. Also can't forget about Noah Elliss...he's a man mountain and is a NT.

I kinda think you have to break it down to guys who can play 3T/NT and guys who can play 4i/5

If you keep the best players, and best upside players, you might leave Tuipulotu and Elliss off. But it doesnt make much sense to have only 1 NT on the roster (Davis).

Cant really lump all the DTs together. We are using different body types for different DT positions.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

100%. I really want a NT active who can spell Jordan. We already have Carter/Cox/Williams who can rotate, which is why I'm fingers crossed for Elliss.

True. I think the ones I'm most interested in: Ricks, Gardner, Reid, Haselwood are all confirmed UDFA.

Yeah. Im kind of high on Haselwood. Just for the fact that he blocks, and plays physically. I dont think he will ever be a dynamic playmaker or develop in to a starter. But I think he can make a few tough plays now and then and really win over coaches and fans. Really does seem like a potential replacement for Pascal. I can see him making the roster.

This is awesome

Smith in his last two games vs LSU

2020 - 8 catches for 231 yards and 3 TD's
2019 - 7 catches for 213 with 2 TD's

Do we know how much of those Ricks gave up?  I don't know the answer which is why I'm asking

That's exactly how I view him. My biggest concern moving forward from today is WR depth. If Brown or Smith go down even for a game or two, we are stuck plugging in Quez or Zaccheus. I think this is an area they continue to improve throughout the summer.

So now when are they revealing the Kelly Greens?

Im not sure what year the video I posted is from. But it looks like clearly not a lot in whichever game that was.

That's why i brought up Julio Jones...  I think him and Taylor Lewan (swing tackle) make a ton of sense.  Don't have to start and can get their bodies right and give us a few games at high levels in case anyone goes down.

I guess Howie will be robbing Hopkins from Arizona soon. Something like a 2025 6th rounder sounds about right.

Dreaming of a Kelly Green #0 Nolan Smith jersey...

I was just going to say, whoever brought up Julio yesterday- sounds like a solid option  right about now.

I would assume he'd get a better pick from them to take Hopkins.  B-)

Lewan is hurt a LOT. Jones I would consider based on price. I just can't see it with Lewan. Isaiah Wynn is an OT I think could be interesting, still only 27. There are still some intriguing targets out there, and after today any free agent isn't counting towards comp formula. I know he's old, but Jarvis Landry for the slot could be a nice cheap move.

Im annoyed that we couldnt land Demus, or CJ Johnson in UDFA.

Seattle got Landers and Johnson, and Bobo.

I'm expecting Milton to get more work this year, and Fletch's role to diminish as Carter works into the line-up (see below).  40% seems a bit low for JD and to keep a dedicated NT backup on the active roster, the questions are would Desai plays more odd front (probably) and if JD can get some snaps in even fronts or kicked out as 4i/5T for a heavy front subpackage with Noah/backup NT.

Hargrave: 65% of 2022 snaps (Milton 65%, 2023 projected)

Fletch: 65% (50%)

Milton: 35% (Carter 50%)

Suh/Tui: 35% (the Field 35%)

JD/LJ/Big Marv: 40%

CJ Johnson is a 225lb hands catcher and runs like a bull after the catch. Similar to AJ Brown's playing style.

Xavier Gipson is an explosive quick slot with return skills.

We missed the boat at WR in UDFA this year. Its odd because our depth sucks, and we have Hurts. Youd think WRs would be choosing us. Kinda seems like we didnt go after them.

Marvin Wilson was released a day or two ago. I think they keep 5 DT's. We know Davis/Carter/Cox/Williams are locks. So it's a bunch of dudes competing for 1 spot. I think DT 5, TE3, WR 5-6, and CB 5-6 will be the most interesting camp battles.

Yeah, didn't really attack with urgency as there were definitely some intriguing names out there to want to get closer looks at in camp.

There are some well known names in free agency. One under the radar guy I would love to have is Antoine Wesley. I was high on him in the draft. He got to start a few games for Arizona and showed out.

I guess theyre high on Ngata. Im puzzled by that. He has done absolutely nothing for his entire college career. Theres no injury excuse or anything. He just literally sucked. We paid him a bunch of money like theres some upside there. I dont know what they see.

I like your optimism.

I think we need to find a real starting safety most (Budda Baker?) next to Brown then we need a starting LB next to Dean and finally on offense we need a slot receiver.

That said its early may and we got some money. This will get done.

I think safety is "fine" in the sense they have some corners that could probably also play there, like Maddox and maybe Ringo. This FO has never really valued LB, I think the emphasis they put on DL makes the LB play better with lesser talent. I really do like Haselwood from Arkansas and think he could push for a spot at WR. Ward just never seems to go away, but I think this is the year someone finally takes his spot.

He's very JJAW, Zach Pascal like.

That means he sucks and lacks upside.  But if you are looking for a UDFA to reliably project as WR4, then you can't have any upside.  At least we didn't draft him in the second round.

Agreed 5 DTs seems right - based on the snap counts from last season the 5th spot wouldn't be for a NT unless JD plays much more of a hybrid role (which would be great); so I'm thinking the winner of the MO/Street/Tui camp battle gets it and Noah goes to the PS/ LJ sits by the red phone.
