This time, they've already vetted people who will by loyal to him like he's somekind of God. He may be President, but to me he's still a POS. Yup bc a moron like trump needs to Be smartest/most powerful in the room. Which is tough given how stupid and crooked trump is

Save for one guy, every one I spent time with are strong Harris supporters and they all talked about how much Trump support there was in their neighborhoods and friends’ networks. It always came down to fear of taxes and the overall economy for the reasons people were supporting Trump. They said everyone hated Trump but were voting against the leftist economic agenda. Throw in the stupid woke sheet at the margins and, voila, here we are again with Orange Man. Yet.... there will be (many) democrats that are convinced that 50% of the country is in a cult and that's the only conceivable reason why Trump won. Which means there won't be much needed self reflection in the party and likely double down on the same BS that people are resisting against.

It’s their own "elitism” that they can’t seem to admit or care to understand. Let them keep thinking they’re right - to their own demise.

Not a single person in here actually believes that what what McConnell did in 2016 wasn't completely out of political bounds. And I'd argue that one singular act, along with Obama's tan suit, radically reshaped American politics. From that point on good faith political discourse was out the window. If anybody was going to give you crap it would have been me. You don't need to take any licks. We trolled the crap out of each other and fought for what we believed was best for the country we love and we move on.

Did you ever think it was weird that Kamala couldn't articulate any coherent plan to improve people's lives? How she couldn't answer simple softball questions about what she'd do different from Biden? Did you think it was weird that they were dressing Walz up in hunting gear and parading him out there to make a fool of himself on a weird hunting trip? Did you think it was weird that they were campaigning on the idea that Harris and Walz were huge supporters of the 2nd amendment? They had nothing to focus on besides abortion and orange man bad because their policies are awful for normal, white Americans. So no, they can't transition away from identity politics to focus on their "good policies" because their policies promote inflation, out of control government spending, high crime, illegal immigration etc. They have to lean into racial grievances because minorities and brainwashed whites are the only people who vote for them. You're describing what the party is now. I'm saying the whole minority equality platform (which requires white dudes like me to care enough to carry the water for someone else's benefit) needs to die in a fire and DNC leadership needs to give way to people who will create a platform on the issues that a plurality of Americans actually care about.

Well this and what he does surrounding renewables. For renewables I think offshore wind takes a beating, but the rest (onshore wind and solar) will continue to see incentives. A good bit of that funding goes to red states. Still, glad I got my home solar system already in place.

This dude hates Trump so much he actually convinced himself Harris was a good candidate.

MAGA is a cult and the Democrat party imploding doesn't change that. The 10M that stayed home and didn't vote or went 3rd party aren't cult members and they're the ones that decided this election.

Oh, if you're saying you want the dems to abandon their current disastrous policies and come up with things that might actually benefit white americans, I'm fine that. Or you could just drop the tribal affinity and start voting for a party whose policies already do that and vote republican.

All he knows how to do is point fingers. Let's hope nothing major tests him. Disagree. The world was stable because the world was scared shitless of Trump. There’s an anecdote where he was negotiating with (I think — going off memory) the Taliban and he straight up pulled the GPS coordinates of the leaders families and told them he’d kill everyone they’d ever known if they didn’t get in line. No one wanted to F with him because they knew he’d F them up 10 times worse. That’s why Putin waited for him to leave office. But you can look at COVID and his response and it was a resounding success. Operation warp speed was a miracle. The economy did relatively well under arguably the most trying time in history. I wish he were in office instead of Biden — Ukraine wouldn’t have been invaded. That’s for damn sure.
