Welp this game is over, yeah I know the Phillies like to come back.... Not today

I can't make that type of declaration... but they just don't seem to be on it tonight.   They really are a different team on the road.

  • Personal Note: Today was a tough day. My wife’s father passed away after a long battle with cancer at 3am this morning. He has 2 son-in-laws, and our teams are the Eagles and Bucs. So…it was kind

I always think they will come back but, like you said they just don't seem to have it tonight

Carlos Santana has been awful this year. What i said about snowball turning into an avalanche. Nola when things go wrong doesn’t have the same mentality Suarez does. He allows it to become worse. Suarez has had some implosions but usually he’s able to not let it explode into more.

Santana has been on a 10 game hit streak though and  Nola likes to give it up to scrubs

I've noticed that as well. It seems like when they are away from the energy of CBP, they play a very lethargic brand of baseball.

Not many places can match CBP for energy, so it makes sense.  On the road, they need to generate their own energy.  But, that's tough to do on a nightly basis.

He also hasn’t hit for power for nearly 2-3 weeks. Before that homer he had 0 in 2+ weeks and just 2 extra base hits.

What’s amazing they had a ridiculous road win streak earlier this year.

i thought they had decent energy last night. Peralta has just been really good since all star break. The bullpen wound up imploding again at the worst time. Tonight the Phillies came out with energy and nola zapped it away by giving the lead right back.

Nola fixed that

Yes, but before that, they were abysmal on the road.

You saw in the Phillies thread, i said we are gonna find out a lot about nola in his next start against the brewed. Tough atmosphere against a playoff caliber team. He basically imploded. Against top 3 teams in the NL he’s had two good starts then ones he’s given up 7,6, 5 and 4

12-4-1 for me

I praised Deion earlier today and have been for years but I said there are lots of things to love and lots to hate about him. I'll add this to the hate. Sorry, no one gives a flying F or is threatened by you. The majority of us are all in supporting you and hoping you do great things. Those who hate Deion probably just never liked him as a player either. You were known to be beyond cocky and you either bought in to Prime or you hated him. We want to see you do well.

When every interview becomes some sort of preaching moment, that's when I tune out and don't tune back in. He has a chance to win fans for life here.

Thanks for doing this btw!

I guess a playoff game was just one.  lmao ok guys

Someone posted that to him, so he's going to reply in kind now.  I don't think he's homophobic, but trying to make a point.  If someone can post that to him with no consequences, the same should be true for him.   But, honestly, at this point, I can't figure out why everyone hasn't added him to their ignore list.  I don't think I've read a single thing from him that's even approaching cogency.

No to the first comment. Indefensible both by him and if his reference is accurate, indefensible by @Outlaw
