Hasnt crossed my mind much. But I might tune in.

Itll be my first saturday off in a long time. I know one of my kids has a birthday party to go to. Not sure what time. Then my kids have a cousin coming over and sleeping here. I have no idea what will be going on around here.

I hope to find time to finally tune in to some college football as well.

Ive thought more about the 6ers first pre-season game on Sunday. Which is at 6pm and kind of conflicts with the eagles game.

Money league.  It has wacky scoring where you get bonuses if you go over 100 (7 points) and 200 yards (12 points), plus bonuses for long TDs. (40 yards gets an extra 3 points, 50 gets 8 extra)  He's my #3 WR behind Kupp and Waddle.

Had a team with my son in 2010.  We were down by 60+ going into Monday night.

It was the Eagles/Skins and we had Vick and McCoy.

I was on the wrong end of someone having McCoy, McNabb and Jackson during the Miracle in the Meadowlands #2.  I was well on my way to the championship game (which I would have won) and the guy beat me by 2 points.

Coveys was slightly more subtle. Crowders really liked like a fair catch.

Didn't know they removed that rule. So you're saying it is legal to call a fair catch and run with it now?

Yes.  They removed the penalty.  (I didn't know either, but the rules guy for that game said they removed the penalty for it a few years ago.).

So apparently, if you call for a fair catch and then run, you just start at the spot where you catch the ball.  No penalty.  BUT... if you get blown up, I think that's on you.  There shouldn't be a personal foul for unnecessary roughness in that case, because you clearly didn't give yourself up.

Will Chase Claypool play?  I hope not.  Last time we saw that guy he had 4 TDs against us.

Yeah, I know we played against him once since.  Shut it nerds,

Preseason games in any sport don't 'conflict' with any regular season Eagles game.

I'll remember this post when we get to the World Series!  Don't try to the jump on the wagon then.

I didn't jump on last time they won either.  Don't worry.

But I won't be able to watch it live now.  That's annoying.

Assuming you mean lighter not heavier

Yep. Damn senility

@RememberTheKoy The problem with plays like that is that they are textbook, by the rules, fouls but the context is the refs let them go 10-20 times during the game and then call them in a spot like that. Most bad refereeing is done by inconsistency.

Examples like the 2 plays from last night are still kind of rare.

  • Pretending someone went out of bounds. (this only happens 5 or 6 times a year)
  • Not calling end zone PI on early contact while not looking for the ball (99.9% of the time this is flagged)
    • Walt Coleman(?) in the both was 100% clear that the refs did a terrible job on that play the broadcast crew was laughing at the absurdity of the non-call.

It should be easy to discipline the crew from last night. The refs stole points from Chicago. Its a lot harder to discipline inconsistency.

I think that's why New Orleans let him go. He's great but he can't stay on the field.

This is year 11 and he's never played 16.

He's missed something like 54 out of about 166 games.

Look at the jersey in the locker next to AJ. Looks like we have a new QB1 on the team

Happy Friday! Hope everyone has a great weekend

Besides @hputenis and his side piece @Godfather. I hope your weekends suck

@FranklinFldEBUpper

I mentioned Kenny Durrett. I’m old but not old enough to have seen Guy Rodgers and Hal Lear, so I can’t speak to them. The best since then I think was Jalen Brunson.

I certainly hated Villanova when Kraft was coaching. Thug ball. I rooted for them against Georgetown when Rollie was the coach but went back to hating them thereafter. Jay Wright won me over, though. His teams played beautiful basketball.

Shouldn't Tom Gola be on that list too.

I didn't know I needed a Braves mascot vs. Phillies fan base but here we are

@mattwill

Eagles 27

Rams 21

Bonus: Swift over 100 yards rushing

I don't know or care what a blooper is unless Bob Saget is hosting.

I will say that taunting Bryce Harper's best friend is a really bad move.

It is legal but you get nothing for it because the paly is blown dead as soon as you successfully catch the ball.

Swift is 95 yards behind McCaffrey after 4 games, so I'm looking for 195 from Swift this week, with over 90 on a single play.
