Really just comes down to his improvement and growth with it. I’d say Becton had possibly his strongest most well balanced game this past week. Never saw this discussion anywhere... here or anywhere else. With Becton, the discussions that I have seen... are to resign him.

Where the coach knowledgable in his own O gives everybody expectations for the varying situations they’ll face. Should be a cut and dry expectation for the players given from their coach. And... yet all the players have excelled under Siri? Even the QB when he plays the style that works for him... protecting the ball.
December 14, 20241 yr Great post I read... " stop complaining about the QB, he wins, when did the main thing not become the main thing. I swear, there is a large group of Eagles fans that would prefer the Eagles to lose the SB and Hurts throw for 500 yards an 5 TD, than for us to win it with Hurts throwing for 120 yards and 2 TDs. " I think there are people that need to check their conscience... because if they have that mindset that they just care about the QB more than the team success... that's a real conflict. That's a sickness, that I believe has manifested over a portion of our fanbase since Hurts has taken over as QB.

YOU ALWAYS POINT OUT THOSE FEW TIMES... but there is a bigger story here that Hurts has his issues...that are his. For the bulk of those plays. Again...for me, this shows why he is not elite, because these little difficulties he struggles against. Don't you think other QBs can get past a DL blocking their view much easier? Don't you think other QBs can squeeze in more difficult throws due to having stringer arms? Yes,Seaumulo had a false start on 3rd and 1... but does that mean most QBs would fumble untouched on the next play? We all know that the play doesn't go perfectly all the time...that's no excuse for Hurts when it is his fault the play wasn't successful. I’m just the one that understands it applies across the board. Instead of risking a tipped ball or what not he didn’t throw when he was about to …seeing the LB(think two of the three were that guy) raise up his arms or even jump up to block the passing lane. A few times the Oline got beat. A few times don’t think the WR were on the same page with Hurts. All these little things spread around add up in a single game. Hurts had a bad same as well. I’ve said that…but will make sure I state it again here. Just isn’t a QB issue alone though here. Everything has to work together for a successful passing play. Not just a blame the QB situation.
December 14, 20241 yr 34 minutes ago, joemas6 said: Easy to put the blame on the QB when the protection is elite and the WRs are open. Correct ...on those plays the gender of the fan doesn't matter Also. Regardless of gender a good fan can understand when an opportunity for a TD is there, that was a pretty simple read and throw...but then there is a punt following that missed opportunity....a good fan realizes that missed opportunity Changed the game! I’m not even going to challenge or debate you on this. Just was pointing out how there were several plays where each one had something not right. Hurts labeled it synchronization. I’ve known this whole time you were getting what you wanted in Siri’s approach here: setup perfect to Hurts Hate. Trust me…I get it. Exactly why I’ve preached to grow and develop Moore’s O the whole time speeding up the process instead of stunting it by going backwards.

I’m open minded …but if it’s a subject I’ve educated myself about I’m opinionated. So differing info has to convince me to change…or at least adapt my opinion. Which happens plenty.
December 14, 20241 yr 28 minutes ago, joemas6 said: Again... listen to me.... it's not just PFF... it's EVERY outlet that's job it is to analyze the league... hours and hours, that are observing our OL to be a top OL in pass protection. Not just PFF. Just like the voting for the Pro Bowl and many other perceptions. Names and past successes seem to dominate people’s perceptions….over the actual individual game play. Dickerson probably get rewarded again this year. But he’s struggled…flat out pass blocking. Call it a tough schedule…or whatever. But run blocking and The Brotherly Shove he’s been nothing short of great…for the most part.
December 14, 20241 yr Lane has been consistently spectacular this season. Can’t give enough credit to him right now.

Like you would when you complain about the Eagle rush without Reddick. Pretend the Steelers have Reddick. root for a Hurts sack and for pressure on him. Then tell me how you think our OL did. This is the bias you have.... because it is natural. For me watching... I want the blocking to be perfect EVERY play, so I just complain about it, I would be horrible because of my bias to say that our OL was any good, because I just look for mistakes with our OL. On the flip side, I think our DL should get a sack every play and stuff every run for a loss. No DL to me is any good since watching the late 80s early 90s... so I have to take myself out of being a good judge. I have to trust the neutral parties... plural... parties, not just PFF You don’t see a huge dropoff between Reddick and Huff? Clearly and obviously. But we are moving forward. Unleash Jalyx!
December 14, 20241 yr Carter stepped up for sure. I had concern about his conditioning and mental commitment to his craft. So far he’s absolutely answered any questioning on that front. But it honestly is about looking ahead. Now we’re getting to when we gotta have it. How does he finish? Jordan Davis I have much bigger doubts about the finish here. See what happens.

Whether you noticed it or not(obviously you didn’t) he was struggling to adapt.

But Hurts hasn’t been all caught up on stats so much. Like I’ve always maintained…stats just aren’t everything. But we need to get our team to their best possible by the end. That’s where stats are what gets in the way. Like 2 games to start the season and turnover stat causes you and Siri to abandon our teams growth. But then now here at the end…seems like so many more are beggining to understand what I’ve been talking about.

Players clearly looked so much better when Siri stepped back to turn things over to Steichen. Just not even a debatable topic. But became real clear last season that we were just riding that wave he established. When it came time to come up with any adjustments…or just anything fresh? When it was just up to Siri? We had nothing! Guy wasn’t even hired on his own merits to begin with. Hired over his staff in the first place lifting him up.
December 14, 20241 yr I do totally see and believe our franchise QB wasn’t developed at his max under Siri. Link a fair amount of the reasoning to Kelce. Not that he’s to blame for anything. But having him enabled Siri to skip over getting our franchise QB up in those areas. Took a backseat.
December 14, 20241 yr A blind man can see what Siri has been up to for the most part. Not difficult to realize his pattern over so much time here.
December 14, 20241 yr I’m not even disagreeing with some areas I’d like Hurts to be further along with. I’ve extensively detailed how I understood such a young QB having been under a different coordinator every year in college …was reasoning to expect him to be lacking more than some other players. I’m not even against saying Hurts doesn’t/hasn’t been in need of top NFL coaching.
December 14, 20241 yr Things aren’t looking good at all unfortunately right now with Hurts. He never was afraid to pull the trigger before. That’s worse than the rest.
