February 23, 20251 yr 2-5 starting under Siri….becomes a playoff team after digging out of the whole he created with Steichen. Siri wouldn’t have survived to the end of his first season as a HC…if he didn’t switch to a real playcaller. Look at him now! Sure mattered to Siri!
February 23, 20251 yr Difference of being a SB winning HC…or he would have most likely been a WR position coach for somebody after being fired in 2021. Not sure coordinators matter more to any other HC as for us though. Siri is a pretty extreme example of a head coach really relies on his assistants very heavily.
February 23, 20251 yr Guess you believe Stoutland isn’t a factor for us either…just put whatever position coach there….sure

Just based on this one sites rankings obviously. But I’m looking into all these guys. You can’t just target one single guy to be on the board still later….but if you have multiple good options at one position group it could become a part of the draft plan.
February 24, 20251 yr Just now, cunninghamtheman said: https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Antwuan-Powell-LB-Florida This might be the guy to highlight of the bunch. Was a four star high school recruit. Didn’t get on the field much in Florida. Transfers to VT and absolutely lights it up. Scouting report talks about very athletic player that can instantly impact as a pass rusher. He’s versatile in multiple fronts. Main holdups being size and whether he can hold his ground in the run game. Everything here reads like an ideal sleeper situation…yet he produced his final season when he actually got to play : 40 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss, and 9.5 sacks
February 24, 20251 yr North Dakota State's Grey Zabel delivered perhaps the week's most complete performance. Starting at right tackle Tuesday, sliding to guard Wednesday, and finishing at center Thursday, Zabel dominated at each spot. His pancake block of Marshall's Mike Green during team periods had one NFC scout declaring, "That's a first-round tape right there."

You gotta believe this play will shorten Cam’s career. It’s just brutal on our own guys health. But it sure is near unstoppable!

The injury rate is way lower on these plays as well. So IDK if they can get 24 votes to end it. A play run less than 3 times per game, not sure its that much of a factor.

Seems like we run it more than that…heck we’ve run it like three straight times in a row even.

Never said they would get the 24 votes just mentioning that a team brought it up…. Been confirmed that the team who wants to rule change is the Packers now as well
February 24, 20251 yr My concerns actually revolve around our own players health and longevity running the play. Sure all our opponents hate it…because they can’t stop it. But it’s just brutal on our own guys being the ones always every game involved with it.
February 24, 20251 yr Other teams players talk about how rough the play is on them facing it in one game against us. Our guys had to go through it 21 games.
February 24, 20251 yr Injury rate is kind of tough to really judge and say. There is a reason Kelce yelled out he hates his life each time we ran the play…it’s brutal!
February 24, 20251 yr Smitty wouldn’t even get involved with the play it’s so rough on the players bodies.

February 24, 20251 yr Consider, Green Bay president and CEO Mark Murphy wrote on the team’s website after the Packers were eliminated by the Eagles that the tush push is " bad for the game.” "There is no skill involved and it is almost an automatic first down on plays of a yard or less,” Murphy wrote. "The series of plays with the Commanders jumping offsides in the NFC Championship Game to try to stop the play was ridiculous. ... I would like to see the league prohibit pushing or aiding the run.” These statements made even before the SB….so yeah…no surprise the Pack want it gone.
