Just watching the game you could see the commitment to stopping Saquon and how much it opened up the passing game…. KC made a choice and Hurts made them pay it’s not a bad thing

Nah....Barkley choked.  You could tell he was nervous when you see him miced up.    😆 🤣 😂

I wouldn’t dare pretend like the threat of the Eagles running the ball hasn’t been a massive factor for years. It clearly has been. But Saquan picking up 2 yards a carry actually forced us into long down and distance situations quite a bit. 2nd and 11 passing wasn’t opened up by Saquan. 3rd and 8 wasn’t opened up by Saquan. We were behind the sticks on all this less than productive runs. Of course the OPOY grabs attention…like he always has since he was the second pick in the draft. Clearly the Eagles used the dominating threat of the run against our opponents…like we’ve done even since Hurts has taken over here.

When you saw him miss the hole…or bobble the catch…or just obviously feeling the huge pressure if the moment. It happened ..is what it is

He had the best season by a RB ever….but he choked some in the SB. Didn’t stop us..so whatever. But him continuously gaining two yards on first downs wasn’t just setting up our passing game so much with the Chiefs overwhelmingly focused on the run like nobody else ever has.

Heck I was giving ample credit for Saquan stepping up to pickup the blitz in pass protection. Hint…they were blitzing not thinking we were handing it off to Saquan…guarantee you that.

Wasn’t that big a deal Saquan wasn’t ready for the big moment…we had a guy always been ready for them. Throw…run…whatever…he just does it!

He did have a ton of pressure on him. All kinds of fans and media looking for him to break the alltime SB rushing record…FL knows I remember he mentioned it.

Yea because of the massive commitment to stopping Saquon that opened up all those passing lanes just like v the Steelers…

Image doing a play action and the entire def was commits to stopping RB1 leaving Smjth wide open deep

Was clear as day that Saquon was fine was just the KC defense was committed to taking Saquon away and forcing QB1 to beat them which he did which is great for Hurts

2nd and 6 pass converted first down

3rd and 11 Hurts runs

2nd 8 ….18 yard pass

2nd 11 …27 yard pass to Dotson

Hurts finished running in the TD

3rd and 8 pass first down

3rd and 7 pass for 22

2nd and 8 pass to AJ for a TD

So which of the plays are you crediting it was because the Chiefs were so overly focused in on Saquan? Almost all of them us being behind the ideal down and distance after a failed Saquan run got us in that hole.

I can keep going…figured just going from the start of the game…that should be very clearly enough examples to call out any BS.

Are you saying when Spags dialed up blitzes…he was expecting the run? Obviously nobody would try that argument.

You see the gaps in the plays you called you neglected the plays that were run plays they also don’t highlight if the play was an RPO/PA or anything which also would be a team that is focused on Saquon

Of the first two drives that we ran 12 plays 6 of them were runs to Saquon

This is just the first half on the clear we aren’t handing it to Saquan after a failed Saquan run got us behind the sticks situation…like the Sham Wow guy ysed to say…BUT THERES MORE!

That doesn’t account for RPO passes that Hurts kept or play action plays which also would draw in the KC defense that gameplan was obviously to contain Saquon and force Hurts to beat that.

Again good on Hurts for stepping up and making KC pay but it was obvious watching the game

Gaps were after 2 yard or less Saquan runs got us in the unfavorable situations that we had to handle. Not just needing to pass…HAVING TO! And everybody knew it.

But sure ever since Hurts has been here we’ve been a dominate rushing team that Ds have to respect. Glad we got Moore here to bring his super secret play Patulla and Siri never thought to add all these previous seasons…playaction. Shhhh…don’t tell anybody else about this very secret play.

Gaps that showcased a team that was focused on Saquon lmao are you that dense did you not watch the game just looking at the box score it was so obvious the attention KC put on stopping Saquon that opened up everything for Hurts to pass just like the Steelers game

How many of those went for more than 4 yards?

Yea having a dominant force like Saquon that was the best in the NFL that KC was hell bent on not letting him beat that Play action is huge could just see the focus the team had on Saquon

Doesn’t matter how many guys were focused on stopping Saquon compared to coverage?

So again …which of these plays were the Chiefs overly focused in on the Saquan handoff for?

And how did that focus affect the passing game?

I think you’re the one being dense trying to make everything about Saquan here. Sure the OPOY commands attention…like he has ever since college ball. But I’m listing so many of our key first half plays being made. Most weren’t because they were focused in on Saquan…they stopped Saquan.

When they were blitzing?
