I don’t think they were super cocky hiring Desai at all. Just screwed up with Fangio. Know Fangio was returning in one season. So you the closest thing with Desai…but knew he wasn’t a good hire. So the pre planned an early switch to Patricia.

Yeah we disagree there also because Fangio took the Dolphins job 9 days before the Superbowl... can't fire Gannon when he wasn't 100% getting another job.

But again... you thought Howie spoke with Barkley directly during the legal 2 day period, where I think Howie is an anal rule follower... so all good.

But yeah... I think they get cocky after success and has been a reason they always seem to take a step back after having success.   I believe it's cockiness as to why they don't get a stud LB.   I believe humility would be a factor if they sign Baun and go against their long time philosophy.  Which would show growth.   We shall see

Siri’s success? He got demoted and lost power. Was allowed to stay on only if he accepted the step backwards. Makes not much sense at all to me. Fangio was always the guy. He was coming back in 2024…known before they hired Desai. Desai was hired strictly as a bad aid being the closest to Fangio-esque place holder.

Yes... Siri is a successful NFL head coach.   only 3 guys have had a 70% winning rate and won a SB... Lombardi, Madden and Siri.  I think most human being would look at Siri and say... he is a succesful head coach.

Well we disagree then... I absolutely believe the biggest weakness of our front office has been getting cocky after success.  That's what I believe happened in 2023, Howie did a poor job with the roster and forcing coordinators on Siri.    I believe the comp picks for the promotion more than the Hurts issue... but 100% Hurts was the reason Johnson was brought here in the first place.

Either way... my point remains... nothing to do with Siri.

See the nothing to do with Siri applies to the hirings of coordinators. But so wrong with the running of the O that went up in flames in 2023. That was Siri running the o. His O. Now stats actually could make a strong case for Siri not Johnson’s o in 2023. Was second best O with stats for a good chunk of the season. Even finished as a good O stat wise. But that’s just if you completely ignore my opinions on why Siri’s O in 2023 had that success to begin with. I don’t credit Siri much for the success. Believe he was the obstacle our strong character winner players were overcoming.

You can keep going off in any direction you want... Desai, Fangio.... nothing will suggest Siri was in danger of being fired.

You worry about stuff that I don't worry about.  And that's fine.  Just I think when you take emotion and style out of it, then it's easier to see if a coach is good or bad.

Yeah…I seperate emotion from the business. I like rooting for good guys. Siri, Hurts…like rooting for no thugs for sure. I do get emotional rooting for long time Eagles…yelling Hugh every time he made a sack. But not attached like many get caught up with when discussing the business of things.

But again... we fundamentally disagree on the issue.... you believe Siri wants to run the offense.   I believe he would prefer to not to spend all that time because I believe that he believes it takes away from his overall coaching.    So you obsess with it... and that's fine.

Siri was hired as a head coach... Lurie likes him as a head coach.  they can get different OCs to run the offense while he continues to be a head coach,

One easy example: you agree I’ve been a fan of Hurts? I’m going to jump ahead knowing this is understood. Did I champion saying I’d draft Jayden Daniels this past draft run up? I sure did. I mean…he was being rated as a second rounder when I started suggesting this. Within not even having to trade up for whatever draft pick we earned…at the time we were probably like 10-3 or something.
How much less clouded by emotion example can anybody provide than me stating this? I bring up the option of trading and making about any move…if I believe it’s actually best for the team.

Siri’s stated he wants to run the team O and it’s important to him. Said how difficult it was to step back from his baby. Has shown at every opportunity he’s stepping in dominating running the o. Not even sure what you’re seeing to debate this really.

When did he state this ...let me guess... 2021?

Are you happy with the success of the team under Siri?    One word answer... no philosphy of anything else... strictly wins and losses... game results

Think we’re just mostly disagreeing on how it’s going to happen…and why it has happened

How can I one word respond to such a lengthy indepth question?

Easy... yes or no

You think we won " inspite of Siri"

IDK about Siri being green ... and I think hilarious that you look at the results and think Siri has held us back.... again, I really think you live in your own world there.... but you like that so you do you.

You look at our QBs results at think he’s held us back. Seems like we’re on the flip side of the same coin to me. I’m just now adjusting my opinions to include the combination of both guys being green as held us back. And experienced QB would have been easier and better start for Siri. An experienced HC would have been better for Hurts.

There it is... this obsession with the QB.... lol

Have a good night

It’s not..,I think k Siri held is back and dig a while to begin in 2021. Was going to be fired. Think it was miraculous Hurts dug is out of that and survived that situation…thanks to Steichen:

Yeah our results at QB are he made the playoffs every season. He was runner up MVP and best player in his first SB. Was the best player on the field in those SB and SB MVP this season.

When and how did Siri win? I’m pointing out the obvious of we had struggles big time under Siri. 2-5 start he was going to be fired. Got bailed out by everybody else mostly…didn’t make the playoffs because of him as a strength. Same exact team…Siri’s getting fired when he’s running the O…thrived when he got out of the way.

Just keep flipping the coin on you here. Because I have and gave easy best example how my emotions are t clouding my judgement that much all along. Have I been less the correct always? Sure..admit that. Your judgement is blinding you though. You can point at team success…and credit Siri. Say you aren’t being emotional involved blinded by your boy at HC. But if I point to the opposite and say look at our QBs records and accomplishments. Siri and Hurts both made the playoffs been to SBs. On and on. You credit the HC and fault the QB…but say I’m clouded because I credit the QB and point to struggles with our HC. At least I’ve adjusted my opinion some and credited Siri a bit more and added fault to Hurts more now…looking back in hindsight.

Could dig  in deep plenty here. But over and over again…why did they just keep waiting and waiting so long to hire Desai in the first place? I answered…because they didn’t believe in him…but he was closest option to placeholder for one season wanting for Fangio. The main worst job you won’t answer …I keep over and over trying to understand your logic of not just that whole part around Desai…because your version doesn’t make any real logic to me very much there…but why did they hire Patricia? I can’t figure out why you understand they even did that…if believing they were cocky hiring Desai king making? So obviously pre planned going to switch to Patricia at DC midseason.

2-5 …2021 danger of getting fired. Total collapse at the end of 2023…danger of getting fired. Bye week 2024…danger of getting fired. Talk about emotion just blinding you.

Where have you been? Been talking about him since like week 12 or something last season. Thing is he was second rounder ranking then. Didn’t launch all the way up to number two until the very end. Heck…at the end most still I think talked about Maye..not Daniels. Caleb was never not number one with everybody else. Heck…after the Commanders drafted him I kept telling you Jayden Daniels is a problem. Don’t think you’re that old to be that forgetful. Probably just your emotion and agenda blinding you…not even in any mean nasty way…like…really can’t explain any other reason you are acting like this is the first time you ever heard me talking about how awesome I knew Daniels was.
