I still can’t believe what a deal the Bengals got on TJ Slaton

How did Justin Fields get 2 year 40 mil? Do the Jets only care about selling tickets? Guess they got what they were looking for…a guy to make some exciting plays as they continue being losers.

I was talking about him and you belittle him because he hadn’t  produced enough stats for you to notice what kind of player he was yet.

Hunh????   You must argue with a lot of people that you forget about who and what with each argument?

How does this move make much sense? Looks like us Tanner preferred fans win after all. But if Pickett starts for them we got ripped off.

It makes sense because Pickett was on his last year, we traded him for a QB that has 2 more seasons of team control....for cheap.

Cap savings and getting the 5th round pick.

For two seasons we have absolutely dirt cheap backup QBs.

The more they lose next year the better for us!

The article I read said that he'll be working in the mess hall and polishing Hurts' balls in his free time.

He will obviously share the last duty with one of our regular posters on here.

But now everyone is happy because your boy Tanner gets to be #2.

This is like next to nothing for a QB paired with a terrible crop of Qbs in the draft.....Not to mention Fields was what 5-1 as the steelers starter start of the season. Stout D play with ball control running O(plus plays with the QB legs) limit turnovers and you can win games....

Also to add Jets didnt have many other options...They not trading for Geno he already failed as a Jet, They were not signing Sam Darnold who failed as a Jet, They just released Rodgers.

The Qbs options for the Jets was the draft, Fields, Daniel Jones, Jameis, guess they could have traded for Kenny Pickett he was available.

Fields seems like the best option to me for the Jets but I really do not like this QB class. Ideally you have a year of Fields draft a guy in 2026 and me id sit the guy maybe not the entire season but I would not start him day 1.

This would also allow the Jets if they are smart to build the OL get a few more weapons for a new young QB but I'm sure the Jets will ruin it because they are the Jets lol

What it does is activates Tanner on game days

Traded CJGJ to the Texans for Keyon Green OG

Hargrave going to the vikes

Bengals signing Oren Burks 2 year 5 mil

Barely but it qualifies in the comp pick formula…

Nicer! Bye bye Becton. He’s under contract for a year and we still have the fifth year option.

Pretty sure he was a first round pick

It is nice for the OL show Stoutland will work his magic with Green and have him playing well.....But on the flip side we are losing a lot on our #1 ranked defense.

Slay/Rodgers gone key outside pieces for us

CJGJ- starting S

Milton/Sweat- key DL pieces

Burks was solid depth and good STer

I will add that we do have lot of young guys that have flashed but they have to show they can be every down starters.

Nolan-showed he can be a good DE in the league last year played over 50% of our snaps which is huge in our DL room with how we rotate guys 2nd highest percent behind only Sweat.

Hunt- really started to come on toward the end of the season but how does he look with huge increase of snaps?

Ojomo- again he played well in a rotational role can he do it FT though?

Brown/Mccullom- thought both guys did alright in limited fill in snaps can either of the replace CJ?

Ringo/Ricks- promising young CBs are they ready to step up though and be the FT starters on the outside

Trot Jr- likely be LB3 but we know Dean isnt known for his health so will see the field.

Lot of promising young players but we need them to step up now and fill big voids on the defense.

Danny Dimes a Colt 1 year 14m

Saints are wondering how long it will take to see Carr become effective being the 32 year old is going into his fourth new O in four years.

I was hoping we could retain Burks and Rodgers. But do have Sidney Brown ready to step up. I think he’s ready now. Ringo I believe is ready also.

Stoutland and Fangio must have had some input into this trade........

This ends Becton's chance to come back here and alleviates the eagles need to draft a OL early.

It opens up yet another need on the defense.

They must feel that Brown is ready to be fully time, or they will sign a free agent safety........or maybe trade down in the first round?

Confusing move.......but might be just the first move to an endgame.

Jalyx looks ready also really.

Yes this is a quality post breaking it down. I just have continued to have doubts about Nolan’s durability. Guy sure is dedicated though. Jalyx is ready. He’ll just get better and better with snaps I’m sure. Ojomo has proven himself ..don’t even have to question. Only area maybe being can he hold up against the double team. Brown is ready. McCollum with a step up this season can be a good usable piece. Trot’s getting on the field year two.

We needed Becton to sign big elsewhere instead of staying on the team friendly contract to grab the comp pick.
