In the list below there are only two starters, Blankenship and Goedert. Nakobe Dean can be considered to be a third starter, but in Fangio’s 4-2-5 scheme, Jihaad Campbell is the better starter than Dean. Blankenship will almost surely be extended before the end of this season. So Howie will enter 2026 Free Agency and the Draft with holes in TE1 (Goedert), TE2 (Bryant and/or Calcaterra), RB2 (Dillon), WR3 (Dotson), Edge 3/4 (Ojulari and/or Uche). That is 5 holes and 5 picks in Days 1 and 2 of the Draft. Plus seven picks in Day 3, which can address LS (Hughlett) and other depth positions. It is really an enviable position to be in.I don't think Dillon is necessarily RB2. Especially when you read and listen to all the insiders. They aren't even sure he makes the team.TE and Edge for sure will need to be addressed.

So I put Dillon into RB2. Shipley could just easily have been RB2, but then the hole would’ve been in RB3 and either way Howie would be looking at running back in next year‘s draft or free agency

May 9, 20251 yr Author With divine intervention, maybe the Bears can kick a FG 🤣. I was watching that game with my Bears friend(and our Eagles and Bears friends) and he was ribbing me to no end as they lined up, and I told him, " you know he's going to miss this right?" That set off peals of laughter. Then I laughed until I cried watching the Bears mascot fall over after the doink HAHAHAHAHA

I admittedly missed this kid entirely(had Mullings). So I am thrilled to be wrong and the birds got this one right, this kid should have been drafted, Let's remember too he faced some of the top college D's. Putting him on the PS would be tough to do due to poaching, so IDK what we will do. But he has my vote to stay, even if if means losing Dillion because this kid is the future. I would be upset if we lost him

Compared to Marino and Elway he had flaws. Even you can agree to that.He has never been and never will be a prototypical QB. He is a modern age QB for this modern age of football.
