"New offensive coordinator Brian Johnson called 16 plays that resulted in the ball being handed to a running back and 14 of them went to Kenneth Gainwell. He called only the one to Swift" But blame Siri, got it

We talking about the one start of the New England game where Gainwell got his only career start?

Interesting still complaints about that....perhaps looking at the results of how that game started and how they moved the ball might show how idiotic complaining about it is.

Fake news

It could be real delusion.

Why does it matter?

It doesn’t. The result can not be improved. It is sleek and shiny.

Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie seemed to agree with this sentiment, believing that the league was attempting to influence the vote. He particularly criticized NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and executive vice president of football operations Troy Vincent for advocating for the ban, per ESPN’s Seth Wickersham.

I never said he wasn't LOL. You know week 1 is all about playing what you know, not experimentation with new RB's. Of course it was evident Swift would take the lead, but apparently BJ didn't feel Swift was ready for whatever reason(s) and maybe Swift wasn't positive with the new team jargon and BJ saw this in camp and decided to hold off until he was more comfortable. perhaps Swift said he wasn't quite ready yet, who knows? I wasn't there

BJ schmee jay. Ham will tell you it was Sirianni’s decision.

"Nick Sirianni’s story isn’t about flashy speeches or viral soundbites.

It’s grit, grind, and a locker room vibe that feels more like Friday night under the lights than corporate NFL drudgery. And somehow, the man who once had fans howling for his job now has Lombardi confetti in his rearview. Enter Kyle McCord, the Eagles’ new rookie quarterback. A Philly kid who grew up idolizing Donovan McNabb and now finds himself back home.

When McCord walked into the NovaCare Complex this spring, he expected cold professionalism. Instead, he found a culture that "feels like a college program,” as he told Kay Adams on Up & Adams. No one’s handing out participation trophies here. But the vibe? McCord calls it "tight-knit”—a rarity in a league where egos often clash louder than cymbals at a Mummers Parade.

The Verdict Is In

McCord’s praise isn’t just lip service. It’s a direct endorsement of Nick Sirianni’s rebuilt culture.“ I don't think he gets his flowers,” McCord said. "He got there, and immediately they started winning. Going to [the] Super Bowl.” And the Eagles’ decision to extend Sirianni’s contract on Monday—with a year still left on his deal—cements his status as Philly’s cultural CEO.

Twelve months ago, critics called him a dead coach walking. Now? He’s 54-23 (.701 win percentage), with two Super Bowl trips and one ring. Even Eagles general manager Howie Roseman’s skeptics have gone quiet. Sirianni’s secret? "He wants it to feel like a college program,” McCord emphasized. Translation?

Accountability without arrogance, swagger without entitlement. It’s a balance as delicate as a pretzel from Miller’s Twist. Rookies aren’t treated like expendable pawns. Veterans aren’t coddled. And when the Eagles stumbled to a 2-2 start last season, Sirianni didn’t panic. He recalibrated, leading a 16-1 sprint to glory.“

I agree with much of this. He’s a competitor fighter not giving up. Hear his thing is ‘tough’. That’s the description here under our HC of what it takes to be a Philadelphia Eagle. Have to credit him with how he’s managed things limiting injuries so well. Don’t know how much credit he deserves there…but feels like it’s no coincidence. Week one his guys get it done. I always considered the first game a crapshoot anything could happen. Siri appears to understand how to do it though. Believe he’s very responsible for that. Nobody ever even questions his work ethic or dedication. Dude lives and breathes being in the locker room. Goes well with our players that do the same. He has an open door for his players. Not actually being there myself..it seems like players interact and approach him easily. Not like a Chipper who was the dictator boss above it all.

Siri takes responsibility for it all too. You know he doesn’t control everything and every decision. But he understands he’s the HC. Regardless his power or involvement..it’s on him. Took the heat for Hurts and AJ huge gamble cost us that Seattle game a few years back. Those two just went for it on their own. Wasn’t a good decision. Something a coach clearly would get slammed for calling. He’s got a backbone…doesn’t get into character for the job. Authentic and genuine…these player nowadays aren’t buying the BS. Really believe that’s very key to success…..sustainably.

If he wasn't clutch with Siri's pullback, we wouldn't have clawed our way out of a 2-2 start letting your god pass the ball. Absolutely clutch for our SB season. He continued to be clutch all the way, game after game after game, but of course having all eyes and bodies keyed on him in the SB makes him a choke. My definition of "clutch" is just as solid as your definition of "choke", so now you can see how your statement about choking is so far out in left field

Choking..,something he always accomplished he failed in the biggest game and moment. ATL game on the line..iced with as easy a catch as it gets…dropped it.

You think of Clutch when Saquan had a good rush on 1st and 10 against the Browns in the first quarter? I can’t tell you how to think. Everybody else says it meaning totally different and specific. Everything on the line pressure at its highest. 18th hole at the Masters gotta sink the putt to win. Free throw lose if you miss. Skydiving and your buddy parachute fails ..you notice and get there to grab him saving his life.

"Clutch" is whatever you want it to be for however long you want it to be

Is Siri doing his job? yes/no (remember what his job is????) His job description does NOT include" You need to make Ham happy". That clause was left out. The unwritten clause is "you need to make LURIE happy"

2 seasons terrible 2 seasons great

Only way I can grade his performance to date.

See dealing with reality is only way to succeed. Can he be the O coach? Or is he CEO coach? Think CEO coach. So that makes our situation clear. Siri needs an O and D mind to get it done. It’s an extra challenge versus ideally O mind HC. Brightside is Fangio looking locked in. Don’t think he’s getting a HC gig again. He desires to be and finish here. Huge piece!!! So….situation we face is most difficult hire. O mind. Our ceiling each ceiling will be pretty directly tied to our OC each season. He does good he gets a HC gig. Stinks we fire him. So really looking at it being a constant turnover situation.

So if he(Gains) was anyone's favorite, it was BJ not Siri. At any rate IDK why we harp on 2021,2023

Really? You don't know why ONE person harps on 2021 and 2023? Really... do I need to put out the agenda again?

The FOREVER agenda.... 3 parts ... 1. Hurts (perfect, even when he makes a mistake it's someone else's fault) 2. Siri stinks (they win in spite of him) 3. Howie is ok

So whenever you have a " Why the F#$% is he talking about this" moment... refer to the agenda... always leads back to one of the 3 parts.

Why do we bring up when an OL misses a block?

Why do we bring up a player move that didn't work out?

why do we bring up a game situation from years ago that didn't go well

Answer has 3 options. Pick one and it will make sense. Meanwhile ... 2025 season is upon us... GO BIRDS!

Glad to see you are setting aside your bias and appreciating a more balanced approach.

Three Head Coaches chose to follow Sirianni’s example and transition to the CEO model this offseason. Dan Quinn, Sean McDermott, and Jonathon Gannon. Raheem Morris came to Atlanta and Aaron Glenn came to the Jets in that model this offseason as well, joining Sirianni, both Harbaughs, Campbell, Tomlin, Carroll, and Vrabel.

There are only three Head Coaches who call their Defensive plays, Bowles, Ryans, and MacDonald.

The remaining 17 Head Coaches call their Offensive plays.

But none of those seasons were homogeneous. 2024 was schizophrenic, 2023 was schizophrenic, 2022 was the closest to homogeneous, but as Lurie pointed out in his press conference they made a major adjustment that season when the team was 9-3, and 2021 was schizophrenic.

Hire a good OC we really looking at winning championships. Real hard to win it all

I just call it like I see it. Know it seems strange to you. Rosie makes tons of moves. For years and years would you say I give my two cents about most everyone? He’s got his strengths and weaknesses. So yeah..him being so good…but his weaknesses all that was stopping him. Just specific things I identified and it was frustrating me. Then he pretty much just does all I was asking for…Boom! He went from real good to….talking dynasty happening here man. But yeah…Fangio picks out guys for him to draft I’m going to credit appropriately. Fangio appears to have nothing to do with Huff all Rosie. See? Not his strength. Ego crazy huge! He’s fantastic at so many things. Just self awareness and delegate everything else. Makes him look like a complete genius! Gotta prove he’s right reading the market with Ceedy Duce. We lose him over much less money than he switched to give Bradberry. Ego got in the way of what’s best for the team. Pay the RB after you dedicated the most towards building these giants just mauling opponents run blocking. Went from good play to pancake equals 70 yard TD. RB…cheap. Fell to 31st pass D. Drafted DBs…it mattered. LB..mattered. Have to complete the championship roster. Prioritize however whatever…can’t just ignore whole position rooms.

You going to hate this..but doing it anyway..Rosie drafted Hurts. Was going to trade up for Pickett when Hurts failed in 2021. Wentz just disappeared. Pickett no franchise QB first rounder. That completely was the difference in our organization struggling or they started a dynasty.

Nobody survives 2021. Siri definitely wouldn’t have. Rosie after 2020 worst GMing season he ever had…likely gone. Lose our key draft picks chasing weak Pickett. Sorry here also but…Rosie struck out on every WR…Hurts got AJ. Huge huge move!

And all those 17 Head Coaches who run their Offense need a Team Culture Coordinator as well a Defensive Coordinator. And all the 3 Head Coaches need a Team Culture Coordinator as well as an Offensive Coordinator. It is like a water balloon. You can squeeze it together in one area and when you do it bulges out in the non-squeezed areas.

Your bolded sentence above is noteworthy, but also obscure. Care to elaborate?

You just harp like you harp. It's 2025 now man. best Eagles season ever. 18 wins.. total domination in the NFC title game and the Superbowl.. really the Rams game should have been another 45-50 points without some flukes. You harp on negative stuff that happened... did you have an event in your childhood that you just can't get over to where you are this way? Whatever it is, it's not mentally healthy.

You waited all season for somethign to go wrong because you couldn't wait to blame the coach for something. All season ready to make sure the QB didn't get blame. Instead of embracing the dominance that was going on.

Life is about putting yourself out there, experiencing things... you make mistakes on the way, you learn and address them. The 2024 offseason was easily the best and the masterpiece of addressing any issue.

You name the issue, they addressed it. Yet still you complain and were just waiting for it to go bad? Why? Some day we will be back to Marion Campbell and pre Vermeil football. Where the Eagles are meaningless. It will happen, look at New England. We are in the middle of a team that is relevant and competing, yet complaints complaints complaints? WTF?

Each of the three seasons had two faces … multiple personalities.

2024 had face one before the Bye and face two after the Bye. 2023 had face one before game 12, and face two after game 11. 2021 had face one before game 8, and face two after game 7.

Being an Eagles fan in the early 80s absolutely sucked! Knowing your team wasn't going anywhere. No shot. My cousins tell me the same thing before Vermeil got there. Just brutal football. Years without a playoff appearance and knowing that it wasn't going to happen. Tears of joy when they reached .500 the first time under Vermeil in however any seasons.

Now ...2021 and 2023 are " terrible seasons" LOL The old guys would smack anyone who said that right in the head. So would fans of 30 other teams.
