Pickett who had a 14–10 record in 24 starts, completing 62.6% of his passes with 13 touchdowns.

Mac Jones — "Jones was once regarded as a promising young quarterback, only for his game to fall apart amid injuries, porous offensive lines and questionable coaching. That story was always a little too simplistic -- the Patriots did a great job of protecting him in obvious passing situations as a rookie -- but whatever confidence he had quickly fell by the wayside.”

There is no such thing as a League Market other than for drafted rookies.

What you are referring to is a wage scale, not a market.

Many refer to that as League Market Value….probably really intensely used by agents and their plans.

As well as the flip side GMs

Ham says Howie personally scouted Pickett in 2021 and 2022 with the express intent of picking him in the 2022 Draft.

Ham can’t explain why Howie selected Jordan Davis and traded for AJ Brown instead of selecting Pickett though. You won’t be surprised to learn that he did try some agenda spin to wriggle out of that factual bind.

The agenda is strong in that one.

I like how Vic keeps making sure to include McCollum in the pursuit for the starting S competition.

Jihad timetable being called August currently …good sign…as long all goes well.

Not real outlandish either. McCollum earned his way on the field last season with Fangio. Not the front runner for the starting position. Easily could see him being fairly regularly worked in during games this coming season… again…but more. Specific niches some of these DBs like McCollum can be fairly trusted with? Fangio will get them in. Usually depends on game situations and especially possibly more matchup opponent specificity. Variety of three S personnel package playbook to mix in here. Even with some two S snaps I could see just rotating for breathers. This rookie hand picked by Fangio coming in….its super easy to just ride Fangio’s hot hand and jump to assuming this kid is special. But still most rookie aren’t conditioned up to NFL grown men longevity of a pro season with big pro athletes competition day in and out. So easily see rotation all along the Secondary pretty regularly being standard.

To add to these thoughts….sounds like Q wants to travel along sticking to locking down the top WR this season. He doesn’t want them offered any easy escapes. Honestly think the DeJean forcing outside time also spurring some of this. Even Ringo outside. Deep take each team on our schedule this season. But just throw out our divisional final situation we face …at least twice. Nabers, Lamb and McLauren divisional top WR weapons. These guys are absolutely the elite of the elite too!

Playing the cowboys for instance: Q traveling with Lamb protects the other CBs. Slay you didn’t really think so much like this. Huge confidence proven vet like Slay. But now trying to get your buddy Coop some big money pay like Q already is in line for. Coop and Ringo will clearly just be targeted for lining up by these top WR O. So if Q doesn’t travel? They’ll be moving these guys going after Ringo and Coop. This way we control the matchups mostly by Coop and Ringo getting protected matching up with that second WR option. Just huge huge difference here. Dallas did get Pickens from the Steelers. Contract year really needing to prove everything this season. So all signs would point toward Pickens balling out. But Lamb or Pickens? Even with that strong potential duo you can understand the point. Ringo or Coop outside alone against Lamb isn’t where we’d like to live and die as Eagles in 2025. I don’t even want to doubt either Coop or Ringo. Both good size and fast! Both can play some serious ball I don’t even doubt. So those two starting CBs(I’m calling Ringo and Coop as of this moment) I wouldn’t be throwing in the towel because they got the top WR matchup….but think we prefer to dictate to the O in 2025.

Q was so clearly ‘my dog’ in that last draft. Can’t believe we took a DB in the first round…to start with. But my guy from Little Toledo …to be the choice!!! So just laying out all my admittance of reasoning my bias with Q could be effecting my judgement here on him. Because I thought he came out and performed arguably even better …quicker than even I was hyping up to look for.

So am I’m way overboard being such a big Q believer? We want him taking on the top WR each and every week very consistently(to say the least). Probably have certain Zone calls, blitz playcalls or Dime setups where Q doesn’t travel on. But the guy is a heck of a beast CB, right? Not just because he was the guy I wanted them to draft so bad.

Basing things on these two major factors of a main staple of our Secondary will feature. Q is our elite stud! Lockdown just really isn’t anything reasonable….to accomplish in today’s NFL. But I’ll call Q the guy going to present each top WR opponent with a difficult challenge...at least. But a need for a bit more protection perhaps with the lesser proven…probably lesser capable teammates. Let’s try and keep Ringo and Coop(outside especially) from facing the number one much. Against the second and third best receiving targets feel these guys will show to be more than just fine.

Siri ran the end of game calls. He forced ATL to use all of their TOs…then exactly when the clock was going to roll he called the incomplete pass which was a free TO for ATL.

You may be right.

13 or 30? Which pay would you choose to attempt to be closer to achieving?

Neither. The pay Jeff and Howie and Fangio believe is commensurate with the value received.

What was the most valuable CB play in the Super Bowl?

A market is a place where value is given for value received.

You are bound by your hide.

Listen to Q explanation about position difference. He flat stated outside you have to face the best WR.

What am I missing here? Players get paid to remain based on the market. Players can refuse offer and test the free market if 31 other teams.

Just tossing this out and wonder why they now go from 90 to 53 in one fell swoop. I would personally prefer a 2 step cutdown. They used to have 3

Last PS game is exactly when all these guys get their best opportunity to get some solid film down.

Stuck in that terrible O under a coach couldn’t X and O adapt to much adversity.

So 2023 just became make a play against D already presnap reading your playcall. Tough stuff. More about the O scheme and coaching than QB.

You and Philly Mike need to do your homework. Mike is very clear about what Howie is looking at … the Pitt defense on the field trying to stop UNC who are driving. It never occurred to Mike, and it never occurred to you that Howie can’t be intently watching Kenny Pickett’s play through those binoculars when the score is 23-13. Howie, Mr. Build through the trenches is scouting the Pitt Defense … and specifically Calijah Kancey.

It’s as plain as the nose on Mike’s face. He needs to do a better job of putting clickbait out there.

Texans paid their Slot CB highest market money of 3 year 39 mil

Who is the CB that is making this??? The fact that you don't mention his name says it all. Stingley you mention because he is a stud....he deserves the money....the other guy you don't mention...he doesn't get paid the Stingley money because he isn't on that level... not because of where he plays.

The fact that you don't mention the name is telling.

Same team…inside versus out highest paid at their position.

30 for the stud.....13 for " what is his name again that you can't mention"???
