Terrible argument and view that clearly doesn’t apply to the NFL. Offensive Player of the Year last season…got a huge pay increase…still pennies compared to other positions.

The terrible argument is you think you know it all. Who gives a crap about where DeJean plays? That's FANGIOS job to decide not yours. And if you are unwise enough to believe his agent is telling Fangio where to play him, you are thicker than I thought. Howie will pay for value received no matter where he plays. I would also suggest the flip side(which I did not research) that CB's also get injured more than slot guys? Would that be a fair assumption? IDK why you just can't let the PROFESSIONALS do their jobs. Which position "annihilated" KC in the SB? And a rookie to boot

Top 3 positions that lead to concussions in the NFL

Concussions impact most positions; the top three are cornerbacks, wide receivers, and linebackers. Concussions are severe yet underrated injuries that only recently started getting awareness.

SO it used to be a 3 tier cut down, now they went to all at once. I would rather see a first cut down from 90 to 75 or 70. It still allows the "bubble guys" a chance to show their wares. No reason teams don't already know by your last pre game who is heading out the door. You yourself can probably list 15 guys who aren't going to make the team right now, so why not cut them loose early. Maybe another team can use them for depth or as projects as some simply don't fit where they are. They know it and the team knows it

Guys don’t fit usually can just not be here or ask to leave

The talent coming out of college now is much better than a decade ago. Teams are getting guys in late rounds that are viable BU's at LEAST. Seeing more guys on teams from small schools we never saw before, so I disagree. Expansion of the PS and the latest "technically adding 2 more players" to your roster means IMO there is too much talent around, or those moves would not have been made. You aren't lowering the standards, you are letting guys with NFL dreams avoid collecting unemployment instead of pursuing their goals

Similar to fantasy football rosters. If you have huge benches then the available talent stinks

Really think about if they just had two less NFL teams. Talent level would be much higher….all around.

Sure guys coming out of college high. But they really had sunk the talent pool adding all these new teams back awhile ago. Finally just catching up.

Well you just disagreed with yourself. If you want to pick up these "poached players" how do you do that unless you added to the PS and now are allowing for 2 more "additional" roster spots

Nope. You totally are missing what’s very key at play here. You need some standard of players available for any team gotta deal with tough injuries.

There are 134 FBS football teams and every one is entertaining, and almost all of them have rosters that are more than 50% larger than NFL rosters. There is no shortage of talent. 134 versus 32 … pretty straightforward black and white numbers.

You can tell also because these smaller schools are now getting TV time, so there is some monetary draw or they wouldn't air them. In SWFL, FGCU, FL Atlantic etc certainly grew leaps and bounds from their beginning. Cincy was put on the map in their "Cinderella" year. Toledo. E. Carolina. I'm sure you can list many more. No reason for Ham's idea to reduce the rosters. I lived 3 miles from where FGCU began and their growth was STUNNING

How does cutting the roster add quality? Wouldn't DEPTH be better at said lost position? If the position is the same, player 54 is LESS quality than player 53? Seriously?

Not buying this claim

Pickett trades.... if you look at the picks

Eagles traded pick used for Roman Wilson and eventually received the one used for Will Shipley .

They also gave up two 2025 7th round picks ... which they got back DTR and a 7th round pick.

They won the Superbowl and Pickett played well in the meaningful playing time that he had. A Smith drop away from 2 wins while lighting up the scoreboard.

Although the last incomplete pass in the SB eventually cost me the block pool... the Eagles made out pretty good spinning the assets involving Pickett.

Excellent investor return.

Actually you could look at it as clear proof Rosie was real high on Pickett. He was scouting him hard until Hurts did the impossible…finishing out 2021 like a beast. But also I thought Tanner was better the entire time. So having a young QB already in place…yet still trading by giving up a third(very key pick)….was a huge move for Pickett. Kind of was more than just a short backup QB single season trade.

So really No Mas you missed it again. You look to broad and missed the key details with our franchise:

We had a real good backup. The trade for Pickett actually got in Tanner’s way. Tanner is the longer term Eagles development:

Not similar at all. # of players is not close and there are no PPR points nor yardage points scored in the NFL. Terrible example

Tanner was UNPROVEN before the season began. What part of UNPROVEN is over your head? We got him(Pickett), for his NFL experience. He played a good game when he played, proved he can start(or be a viable BU) with the CORRECT squad and we moved him(aka QB factory). Tanner will probably end up the same way if McCord comes on as expected

None of them have Fangio or his light box 4-2-5 scheme, which empowers the 5th DB to make plays like DeJean made in the SB.

Are you serious? Fangio cloning very popular

I've been thinking about the roster decisions that will come on August 26th. As most everyone knows, a new rule effectively creates 54th and 55th roster spots on IR or an NFI list during the final roster reduction that are eligible for return during the regular season any time after Week Four. Given that, does it make sense to consider Jihaad Campbell for one of those spots?

We are clearly going to have a roster crunch on August 26th, and I fully expect Howie to make one or two trades for 2027 picks of players with impending cuts, but each roster spot is precious, and given Fangio's comments yesterday it doesn't sound like Jihaad is going to be ready prior to Week Five.

Fangio just said Jihad looking like August

Here comes the agenda per usual. never fails

Key words "pay scale”. Other than for rookies, the NFL has no pay scale. All negotiations are individual and unique … just like the real estate housing market. You are imposing your own sensibilities on something you have no role in.

Foolish. No idea where you came up with that crap. They literally negotiate every contract comparing already signed players at the same position.

No it wasn't. We gave him the opportunity to play a real game and he looked good and he would have played well if Hurts went down. Tanner also looked good, meaning there was no reason to keep both. You yourself said Tanner was the longer term, so we moved Pickett and got some assets for him. Not real hard to understand. A logical move to free up a spot for McCord

And when the star of SB LIX goes to extend his contract, what will be discussed will be his accomplishments and the team’s accomplishments, not a label.

What you are arguing for is for Taylor Swft to be paid less than male singers/artists because her label is woman … or Shirley Temple to be paid less than adult female actresses because her label is girl.

Terrible comparison

The star we just signed to the biggest contract in the NFL until that was topped right after
