Yeah when you defend trade for Pickett. Tanner was better. Already here. But trade for Pickett meant he was coming here for the backup job without question.

Tanner would have developed more and gained more experience without Pickett. Plus clearly Tanner was better than Pickett. Exactly why we traded him away. But trade for Pickett forced us in our Super Season to play and turn to Pickett over Tanner. Which was clearly the lesser guy, forced to go to what deserved to be our third string QB

Tanner is indeed the longer term Eagles development. With that said Pickett didn’t get in Tanner’s way at all. Where he is now is exactly the same as where he would be if Pickett had not been on the team. He is QB2 and he would have been QB2.

Not at all. But most of the key building blocks and plan have been executed best possible. Actually I’d include expected cap casualties at cut day in the plan.

The league has been weak lately..I agree. Idk if it's talent... as much as teams not doing a good job in the front office or coaching. Also seems the league has gotten too microwave in a sense of trying to rush development and changing too fast.
