If Washington improves the room you are against that? Are you counting on Calcaterra being TE1 when Goedert is done?

I’m not against anyone improving the room. Not giving up a third for a long shot prayer on it being Washington however. Like I said…look at all these guys we have on the correct TE room. We’ve stacked depth and options. I’m of the belief we find one…possibly even two DitR TE here.

Took a LONG time before your boy discovered the middle of the field, he graduated last season. There was no sense investing big in a slot for 1-2 targets per game

Got a O mind actually had a playbook and ideas…surely helped. But not having a blocking TE like Stoll or a blocking Slot WR out there definitely made a difference. Some progress for sure. Give him a guy that can actually be a receiving threat? Then it’s clear Hurts has no issues. Give him blocking skill players or guys that stink…not sure what QB ever you’re in belief passes over the middle to any of them.

This point is just so glaringly obvious …it’s embarrassing you are seemingly blind to this very basic simple truth.

Hurts threw 3 TDs to Julio Jones barely played out of the slot after he was completely washed up. Literally ran one single route that season. Washed up…a route tree of only one….still squeezed 3 TDS out of him and that.

Now compare him to Detroits TE 3 or ours for that matter

That’s all that would happen…compare him to all the other TE 3 options. Once again..you made my point for me.

You always whine about YAC and when I offer one up it's NO because I like him LOL. He flattens guys on blocks

YAC? What YAC?

A good QB needs no excuses he will find the slot guy or a TE if there is a window. Hurts settled down and has discovered there are other options to throw too

He did…then Quez dropped it. Or was only given blocking skill players to work with over the middle. Reagor and Quez. First two season starting for Hurts. Which other QB got so much more production out of these two than Hurts? Surely every single other QB must have the way you blame Hurts for them? Then OZ. Literally touted as his strong suit is out there as a blocker. Or Jack Stoll been out there almost enough snaps to be just back from called a starter.

But let’s put a blocker or bust/bum at WR…then do like FL and blame the QB about the production that occurs there. Should be enough on its own…but it’s worse…only took the blocking WR off the field replaced by the blocking TE.

You #HurtsHate attempt has always been just this pathetic. Reaching to blame our leader over the shortcomings of everybody else. Siri was supposedly a WR guru. But couldn’t and hasn’t developed any of the fifty WR options come through to fill that third WR role. Rosie mostly crushing so much of roster building. But without question ..hands down…biggest flaw has been failing to bring in any capable third WR option. I mean….out of twenty undrafted WR over four years…with a HC specializes in WR…in an O takes every pressure imaginable off the third WR difficulties….should have developed one undrafted guy at least over four years. Much less actually invested and made several attempts much more. Rosie mostly has done great. But that third WR has been his weakest job performance on O. Dotson I believe was the right move. Very slow progress getting there…but am a believer he’s coming on well this season.

So pathetic. Blame the young QB because his Coach O is the worst and the GM can’t provide an actual receiving target in the middle. FL, you yourself stating we value blocking TE and WR as highly as any team league wide. Then immediately turn around and call our blocking Slot WR and blocking second TE two TE sets as Hurts flaws and weakness for not getting more receiving production out of blockers.

Moore comes in. One season. Takes the dozen passing plays that was the complete Siri playbook…tripled the number of play options. Not just that…actually in a pro level by utilizing Motion…like every single other O in the entire league but Siri uses so much. Then does this crazy trick….moved an actual receiver into an option in the middle of the field.

Year four…Moore…provides actual plays to throw over the middle so much more. Uses Motion and just gives Hurts occasional option of WR …that’s actually a WR. All of the sudden…it’s a miracle!!! Hurts is cured. Given a couple of plays designed to do so, given Motion(or let’s be real…an actual O scheme for once)…and last but not least….an actual pass catcher….Hurts looks pretty decent passing over the middle like that.

Who was it Gomer Pyle? Surprise surprise!!!! I’d be embarrassed if I was making such a terrible argument completely ignoring these so blatantly obvious factors. Now…I actually volunteer Hurts needed to develop this part of his game. But shameful to just attempt to #Hurtshate and tear down our leader over this. Other areas…plenty to actually justifiably nitpick. But HC and GM were the main issues with lacking over the middle production for three years. Then we hired an experienced O mind…that I’ve always mostly bashed as I’m not a fan of Moore even. Proves without a doubt there never was a major QB issue throwing over the middle.

So sad I’ve actually heard this trash seems like every season against Hurts. Shameful!!!! Transparent #Hurtshate

I really not even sure I’ve ever really heard of a Blocking WR before Siri. Like fifth option in the depth chart occasionally brought in guy. I’d only heard of ‘willing blocking WR.’ Always been huge when a WR blocks downfield. But I always thought WR was a skill position. I actually always believed that position gets earned by getting open and catching the ball. FB? Sure. Blockers. A blocking TE? Sure. Though…thought mostly was for short yardage Jumbo stuff.

I see things more like….a threat receiving…opens up space for the run. Don’t just try and go Super Jumbo every running play. Three WR sets can be great to rush out of. But not thinking like we’ve done with a Blocking WR. I mean seriously….what the heck is that? A Blocking WR? Spread the D out. AJ or Smitty defender can’t cheat and play the run. Those two open up the running game. Smitty flat out laughs off to everybody about how he isn’t blocking anything.

Reagor, Quez, OZ….final year of Julio behind a walker. Oh…how could I have forgotten JJAW? Stoll. No excuse for Hurts not getting All Pro production out of every single one of these HOF skill players. List the fifty other WR camp bodies, PS and roster dead weight WRs. OZ done a little elsewhere…did a little here. But out of the fifty other WR go ahead and pull up the exceptional stat production everywhere else. You say it’s all Hurts. So every other QB and team these guys dominated right?

Prove it. Back up your statement.

50 WR all amount to nothing in their NFL careers with any team. That’s not a QB issue…that’s a Coach and GM failure.

Year one under Siri…you could sort of get away with that BS. Maybe even year two. But that’s completely blown out of the water after year four. All these things appeared in a single season after hiring Moore. Arguably more growth and accomplishment across our entire O than the first three seasons under Siri combined.

I’m not even seeing any room or territory for this to be arguable. Plain obvious and glaring fact. Problem has been Hurts always was stuck under Siri. That’s why nobody could exactly state concrete what was a Hurts difficulty versus a coaching difficulty. It was arguable at least. Because just never got to see anything else. Steichen was the early clear obvious sign about the situation. 2-5 terrible team ….under Siri….turned around and overcame Siri to make the playoffs. But year four? Moore showed arguably even larger and wider spreading results. Not …O genius and brilliance. No…basic pro level O stuff was all. Saw actual coaching…

Audibles, countering answers. Playcalling and scripted gameplans were actual awful. But…Moore had the answers. Get out of his terrible playcall into(fill in the blank). Rewatch last season. It’s crazy how high of percentage our key plays each game were results of audibles.

But just brought the whole O reading the D together. Again…basic Pro O stuff. Receiver adjusts accordingly makes so much difference.

The O scheme was Hurts escapes pressure to buy time to make the big play down field to AJ or Smitty. 2023 O in a nutshell. Oh wait…Siri provided one audible..screen pass. Rewatch those games before last season. Whole D knew our plays very often. Deep…or screen. Three run plays for the RB and three for the QB.

Just added differing plays out of each alignment. Boom…D didn’t know our playcall anymore. Added a few audibles…so if we called audible? It didn’t just equate to not going deep throwing the screen. The opponents were totally presnap overloading the look of QB better audible to screen. But as soon as he did? They all came right down all over it.

Every coach has moments. AR…Fangio…opponents have figured out moments of them being predictable. That just happens. Best of the best. But Siri wasn’t caught coming out of TC week one looking predictable. He wasn’t figured out to have such weak variance on audible options week two. These weaknesses weren’t just exposed in a game. Not even back to back games from the blueprint being laid out there. Siri just actually kept doing the same things after being so exposed in 2023. Hurts getting killed taking huge shot after huge shot….no doubts cobwebbed and concussed…or let’s just say far from most clear thinking. Siri kept calling long developing pass plays. Exposed his answer audible was screen pass. Not one game…not two. The entire rest of the 2023 season. Frankly until eternity. He had no answers.
