Hurts is the shirt yardage back. What is most needed is an injury insurance back to spell Saquon or step in for him if he is injured.

Partly because he’s had to be. Saquan just wasn’t fantastic at punching it in even though given ample opportunity. The Brotherly Shove is rough situation for Hurts to endure. He’s obviously just fantastic at it. As confident as I am in Shipley….i really can’t attest to his short yardage abilities…until he actually produces in that situation.

Hurts isn’t that big a guy to be the shirt yardage guy. Just look at the yardage on Mailata’s back of his shirts. Jordan Davis shirts are just massive.

A nice article showing how great the culture is here

Found it interesting that Jerruh tricked Parsons into extension negotiation talks. Called him in for a leadership meeting…where Jerruh instead was prying Parsons for intel about negotiation details without his agent present. Jones is such a slippery eel…apologies to all eels.

I wouldn’t have posted this myself. Disgusting to fake put a cowboy loser in an Eagles jersey. Show some respect!!! Takes much more than photoshopping an Eagles jersey on somebody to make them an Eagles.

Call "Crossing Broad" and tell them

Could see it both ways. Prefer Blankenship taking over the leadership…young guys working out. That’s the big picture plan…but…BUT if Simmons helps us win the next two SBs? That’s as long term thinking as we need. Not sure where Simmons speed is at. Blankenship isn’t a speedster. So how the S compliment each other is crucial. Two slower S is a mix for disaster. Going to be giving up those breakaway TDs because neither S has recovery to catch from behind as that last crucial line of defense.

Two "slower” Safeties is less of a "mix for disaster” in Fangio’s two-deep scheme than it is for other Defensive configurations. Speed is crucial when the DB is running along with the receiver, all the while maintaining position and keeping ball awareness. Safeties in Fangio’s scheme are keeping everything in front of them, and are unhindered in terms of watching the QBs eyes. The resultant quicker reaction time more than makes up for less than ideal straight line speed.

Seems to me Cooks looks good for us also. Dotson sticks. Maybe we carry 1 less WR and 1 more RB this year. I think ASmith hits the bricks. Maybe Wilson stays

Wilson has been terrible so far. He is a drops machine.

Feels likely we keep on some FB option. If you believe like I do that we are running the same O ..instead of each OC under Siri has been completely running their own separate O.

The Offense under Steichen was always a blend of Sirianni and Steichen. Johnson as OC was the play caller, but the scheme was still the Steichen-Sirianni scheme. Johnson didn’t have the leadership skills or the self confidence to steer the Offense though. Moore brought in both confidence and his own scheme.

Patullo is a bit of a mystery because he has been here through all three prior OCs. He is like a DJ, sampling from all his past gigs.

It’s always been Siri’s O we’ve been running.

That is your opinion. Opinions are like a-holes, everyone has more.

15 hours ago, cunninghamtheman said:

He worked hand in hand with Moore to create our O last season….been a part of the previous few seasons also…so he’s earned some ownership of all that.

Agreed 100%

They dressed a FB last year…so we’ve been given proof they want and will

Proof they wanted in 2024, but time will tell in 2025. My guess is that the 2025 Offense will be much closer to what you desire, with the running game setting up more play action passes to all receivers, with AJ and DeVonta getting everything they got in 2024 (probably more) and Dotson getting a healthy WR3 share like he did in the Playoffs. The question is, do they need a FB in that scheme? My suspicion is "No”

15 hours ago, cunninghamtheman said:

Playcalling is different than who’s O scheme we’re running. Patullo knows Siri and will do what Siri desires. I agree Siri a better fit for CEO role without hands on…but don’t believe that’s what he’s been doing at all.

The best managers hire people who are better skilled than they themselves are, and then empower those hires to do good things, and then step back and let them do their thing. Sirianni has done that, and is focused on creating, building and fostering the team culture. That is a full-time job.

16 hours ago, GreenbleedinNC said:

Well we disagree or there would be no cause for Moore or Steichen to be poached. I'm out

Good point. If they were just Sirianni flunkies, no one would trust them to make their own decisions.

So what did Reddick do? Did he massively outperform his contract? Did he not suck it up the second year without getting a raise? Seems like you have a very good understanding about how Rosie extends guys early. So was the writing not all over the walls decided by Rosie? Did Reddick demand a trade? You really don’t see the connection to where Rosie had a clear beef? You don’t see any possible connection to where Rosie made the deal with his trusted buddy Douglas? If you didn’t understand Douglas and Rosie still had a good relationship then…you clearly should now after Rosie brought him right back first moment after he was fired.

You really don't see where NOBODY ELSE PAID REDDICK.. AND HE LOST MONEY?????? 32 GMs agree with " Rosie" ...but the stick up the arse prevents you from understanding that.

There was definitely locker room and selfish stuff going on with Reddick...in 2023. He had one year of a 3 year deal and acted like a hall of famer..... nobody will remember him in 5 years. Not difficult to see the dude was not a team player.

7 hours ago, cunninghamtheman said:

We all know Rosie was totally in control of that. Have little doubt he directly coached Douglas how he should handle it. So yeah..the situation killed Reddick’s market value. A guy that performed at such an elite level for two years for us…just wanted to get paid. Normal. He was just looking to get fairly compensated….he had no money left guaranteed on his contract. I mean just crazy that a player playing fantastic actually wanted to get paid for his job. Rosie wasn’t going to pay him…zero guaranteed money left.

We all know ZERO TEAMS PAID REDDICK...A guy who plays a premium position....why is that? Nothing to do at all with " Rosie " as " Rosie" only works for one of 32 teams...not the other 31....31 teams are " Rosie" free...just us Eagles fans are stuck with that Fa$$y nickname you give him.

Not at all. Clearly our fantastic players willed their way overcoming such a pathetic O scheme. OCs overcoming….well Johnson couldn’t overcome the inevitable Collapse. I was telling you at 10-1 it was coming and there was a problem. You and others…just labeled me negative…instead at 10-1 you considered us the best team that was unstoppable….you disagreed that any issue was present…because hey…team is 10-1. After The Collapse, I would have assumed you’d realized the error in your logic and understanding. But you don’t even get there in hindsight.

Clearly

🙄

I don’t think he loves it here so much. I’ve actually listened to him speak with Gilly and others. Even listen to his champion parade speech. He doesn’t hide just how absurd he feels the Eagles fans are.

But let’s just lay it out there flat out. Gentleman’s wager…I’m saying I don’t believe AJ will still be here three or especially four years from now…for multiple reasons. So you are so confident he will? Then the wager I suggest is loser has to begin his next thirty posts after…with a very simple admittance…”The best most knowledgeable fan on here is…(state the winner of the wager’s name).”

Lol...clueless...i forgot you don't live in the area.

But look how ridiculous you are....asking me about 4 years from now? Who gives a crap about 4 years from now? It's not a permanent position.... if he plays in Philly from 2022 to 2028... 7 stud seasons...that's more than fine. We can move on from there to the next guy.

Ancient History

The Collapse was thriving? Siri start was thriving? It was the weakest scheme in the entire NFL…not even slightly. Steichen bailed him out. Then Moore was exactly deceived into coming here to construct an actual scheme for Siri and capably teach O to our players. Siri just telegraphed our playcalls to the opponent and our players still worked to overcome that massive disadvantage.

Took the fourth season and Moore to have such a giant leap to….wait for it…just an acceptable pro level O scheme. Wohooo…just getting Siri’s O to the level of decent..acceptable…brought a parade. Think there’s plenty there actually proving flat out how much Siri has been holding us back.

Why is this delusional rhetoric so important to you? No matter how hard you try you can’t change history.
