OFFENSE

QB: Jalen Hurts, Tanner McKee, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, Kyle McCord

RB: Saquon Barkley, Will Shipley, A.J. Dillon, Montrell Johnson, Keilan Robinson, ShunDerrick Powell

FB: Ben VanSumeren

WR: A.J. Brown, Johnny Wilson, Elijah Cooks, Darius Cooper

WR: DeVonta Smith, Terrace Marshall, Giles Jackson, Ife Adeyi

WR: Jahan Dotson, Ainias Smith, Avery Williams, Taylor Morin

TE: Dallas Goedert, Grant Calcaterra, Kylen Granson, Harrison Bryant, E.J. Jenkins, Nick Muse, Cameron Latu

Depth chart ahead of the PS game

At QB I think the only reason DT-R is QB3 is to entice trade offers. McCord is the real QB3.

At RB FWIW I have Powell ahead of Robinson. I’m thinking Howie and Dillon may have an agreement that allows him to be paid and used from the Practice Squad for the first three weeks.

In WR1 I have Cooks ahead of Wilson and I have Cooper in the WR3 group

In WR2 I have Ifeyi ahead of Jackson based on speed, but the truth is we know little about either. I would include Ainais Smith in this group rather than in WR3. He would be just ahead of Marshall because of Marshall’s injury status.

In WR3 I would put Cooper ahead of Williams and Morin

At TE I would flip Granson and Bryant

This would be the one more season

Okay. I call that the current season and for me more would be additional to that. Semantics, and both work.

Real question is what is the expectations for Dotson or any 3rd WR on this team??? at best they would be the 4th option in the passing game more likely the 5th behind AJ,Smith,Geodart, Barkley.

On top of us only throwing the ball 25-30 times a game.

I think those expectations are in line with his Playoffs productivity.

Pretty odd then you don’t recall me talking about that for years and years

Ancient History. You guys really love talking about the past … a past you can not change.

Even specifically going into detail about being a physical team to punch team in the mouth the more the rest of the league has turned to finesse.

Respectfully, how is a passing oriented gameplan punching the other team in the mouth? In passing plays the O-Line is being punched rather than punching.

Booker is a good player who was really ready to play for us.

LOL which team has "turned to finesse"? All teams have a nice basher RB that I know of,or are searching for one if they don't

It’s not just the 16…that could actually be possible. Fifth year option is fully guaranteed and all hits that years salary cap. That’s what makes it much more difficult for Rosie to suck up …like he did overpaying Jordan Davis. But there wasn’t a thought he was picking up Dotson fifth year option.

It's the 16. Howie refused to pay that for a BU/slot, very intelliegent not to get tagged with that expense. Now Howie will make him on an offer he can accept or refuse. Nothing to do with sucking up,it's the bottom line

Like using a FB…several ways this can be utilized. One being gives that player in the backfield can pick up the blocking so the RB can go out as a receiver. Another front to physically rush the ball.

That uses up a roster spot,so he needs to be worth that. BVS is good on ST's, but that is not enough to use up a spot. he needs to make additional plays if he stays

It's pre 1. We are seeing WHO gets cut. a bad performance here and you are gone. If you do well it warrants maybe another look in pre 2

Same goes for Avery

That was true in the days of multiple cut downs, but now that there is only one cutdown from 90 to 53 (55 if you include the two IR spots) it is less so.

So this depth chart is going to change after pre 1 either way

Did you miss the part with me saying there never was a thought of picking up the fifth year option?

The more he produces…the more he’ll cost to retain

Obviously but what’s the number at which it’s like ok we should keep Dotson good #3 that isn’t overpriced… v just bad

Obviously need more then the 200 yards he had last year but say he gives us like 400-600 yards as the 4th/5th option is that good enough?

I’m just curious as to were we realistically see the bar for that WR 3 position in our offense

No Mas tried to credit you with observing this for a long time. Only took a few posts later to prove otherwise.

Dotson we have signed for one more season. AJ stays for two more. If Dotson is the guyhe’ll need to be extended before all that. So the possible scenario I threw out there requires thinking ahead.

Why does AJ only stay for 2 more? Explain

BVS underrated athlete 42.5 inch vert and a 4.4 speed coming out of college… also started his college career as a FB before switching to LB in his final two years.

Having a 6’2 230 pound guy who runs a 4.4 would definitely give us a bruiser RB option as well if we wanted to add those wrinkles

No, but why would Howie have anyhow? Nobody figured he would have, not because you "thought of it". It's not your invention. Stop trying "I called it". It's just smart business by Howie and kind of assumed the day we brought Dotson in. It's the 16,zero to do with "sucking up" or any other lame theory you come up with
