We don’t know the whole story regarding that trade with the Raiders. It has been speculated that it was the Raiders general manager who contacted Howie knowing that Howie had an extra defensive tackles, and that Pete Carrroll did not like Jacori. In that scenario the Raiders would be trading a player that they didn’t value for a player they did value. if that’s the case then Howie did it right by listening and the trade was made.

Of course it’s always possible that he was the one who initiated the conversation

Believe it was on both sides. Rumor is Adoree was Rosie guy and not Fangio. Carroll and Jacori was sounding like he was on the roster bubble. Raiders kicking their big injured expensive DT left a big need for them. Pretty likely Jacori was Fangio getting his guy instead of trusted Rosie guy in Adoree. Main takeaway most likely is Ringo crapped the bed on his big chance this season. Thought he had the juice….measurables are great…but height, speed….nothing trumps football player.

@cunninghamtheman what are your thoughts about the Eagles Offense last night?

Not going overboard. But was a good PS one. Calcattarra drop actually one of the biggest moments. Very disappointing. Less confident we can rely on him.

Ainias didn’t suck. Kind of shocking in a good way. Let’s see if he can put two games together. I had buried him…but might just have been premature. Be so happy for me to be wrong.

He needed to be solid to stay in the conversation

I believe in his potential…..leave it at that.

So who is DT4 if not Ty?

How can a couple of teams not come making offers we can’t refuse on McKee? We need a good backup. So what’s the price where you give him up?

I don't. Remember Foles winning the SB? Maybe after we hoist the Lombardi, not before

Ricks is puzzling. Some moments he looks like he has got what it takes. Others he looks way in over his head. Started to lose confidence in him now though. Inconsistency just might define his game.

It's annoying

Coop and Wilson both looked good too. What we saw was possibly those 3 as our BU's

What is "going overboard" in your opinion? We had our 2's playing and they looked damn good?

That was NFL game simulation D really at all. Patullo checked off the boxes needed.

You passing on two second rounders?

I like the kid. So believe in him getting there. We’ll see how long it takes him. NFL big boys….no shame in it taking anybody a year or two to build up to contend with grown men professionals.

Fair enough. Comparing Booker and Robinson is challenging. Booker is probably at or near his ceiling, and has NFL experience. So for 2025 we know what to expect from him. Robinson because of his six years at Nebraska is definitely not close to his floor, but as you correctly point out transitioning from college to NFL USA process, one that for Milton Williams took several years. So Booker has a higher floor, but probably a lower ceiling.

For me it is nothing less than a Round One pick.

Ricks had a strong practice

Really different players and positions to be honest. Booker more Nose and short yardage. Ty possibly DE, DT.

So let me ask you. Hurts gets injured week 17 but we make the playoffs. Cleveland had 5-6 QB's and chose to trade TR away. McCord has no experience in the NFL other than a few snaps. Do you trust either of them to guide you to a Lombardi down the stretch? I do not

Is sacrificing a Lombardi worth 2 round 2 picks. With the picks we already have?

Dillon looked good also. Is this the best RB room our Eagles have ever put together?

Top to bottom, yes. Westbrook, Staley, Buckhalter may have been a better top 3, but we never have been 5 deep like now. I am very impressed with both Powell and Johnson. Hope they both make it to the Practice Squad.

Good assessment. That is where I am as well.

As much as Rosie nailed so much recently…think he screwed up the Pickett situation. It was a mistake to have Pickett locked in as backup over McKee last season. Didn’t cost us though. But should have kept Pickett this season because McKee is going to be traded. Just not seeing a single team making the move to grab McKee. Felt like Saints should have…and possibly still would. But now? It’s much more than just Moore seeing it.

Let’s not go overboard on Patullo versus a bad D playing vanilla cupcake PS D. But…was a key game to get under his belt for the experience and to just do the whole job for the first time.

I agree with both your caveats, but what we saw was encouraging. The RBs going aggressively out into pas patterns and the quick releases were not something I expected.

I get it. But…with that extra ammo can we nail down a longer dynasty dominant push?

That was something I noticed attempted early last season but then abandoned. Both backup RBs just so good receiving it has to be featured. Having two also gives assurance that weapon can be relied on every week.

From a roster management perspective it would be nice to have a return specialist who (like DeJean) can productively play a position.

IDK we will have to cut guys with alot of potential. What is the point of adding even more guys you will have to cut with potential? It's not like we're starved for draft picks
