Remember in 2017 when SF cleared the cap?

So why trade McKee

Siri sucks...it's his offense all this time...they put up great numbers but they win despite him

Fangio is in control...but he isn't my first choice.

What comes first chicken or egg.

This is what it's like having a discussion with Ham

OK, then if this is true we should trade Hurts, and get 5 round 1 picks since the QB factory has produced the next starting caliber(in theory) Eagles QB. Gotta keep that pipeline going

Who would tag a BU QB????

You ever heard of tag and trade? It happens. I mean we getting way out here though. Probably better to focus on the shorter term reality of Rosie flogging the most desperate. Give us your first round pick…then so the back to back SB champs also possess two first round picks for the future..one being a top ten pick. Again…maybe I’m getting out of control…or am I?

Refer to my earlier post. Hurts bringing home Lombardis while we trade Pickett and McKee, develop DTR to be our backup most similar to Hurts and already have McCord in the factory early stages pipeline is thriving my man.

Haven’t heard about DeJean practicing outside CB during TC. Instead I think he might just become our starting S…in base at least. Probably move to the Slot in Nickle. But Mukuba could be a S or Nickle. So not locking him in pigeonholed on anything yet.

No he CAN'T. He would miss the BIG MONEY. He MUST move outside(according to you)

Hurts has more trade value and we can still win the Lombardi with McKee who is playing for peanuts right now.; He even showed he can perform the tush push

SO you want to tag a BU QB,which means you pay him bigger,so teams will have to put up more to get him? That is called pricing yourself out of the market

Jalen Hurts, Kenny Pickett, Tanner McKee, DTR, McCord…moved out Pickett…about to move out McKee…got Hurts bringing home Lombardis…DTR come along playing the best ball of his career…McCord already in the building next…..winning championships while adding future draft picks to the arsenal…THAT’S WHERE EAGLES ARE AT!!!!! We got here brothers!!

Howie got us there

Told you all along McKee was better than what Rosie forced in ahead of him in Pickett. It wasn’t just me…actually would say it was the majority of Eagles fans felt this way in fact…just not you.

LMAO if Pickett was QB3 and barely played he would never have left here. The FO knows what they are doing you do not

Could it be possible that the lesser QB is actually better option as our backup QB? DTR maybe not as good as McKee right now…but maybe could be argued has a higher potential ceiling than McKee. More importantly for our specific situation…DTR could be argued as the better fit. Like the O could remain the same without drastic adaptation any moments we need DTR to come in for short term needs. Starter goes down for the season? You could change up the entire O to fit next QB. But you don’t want to do all that just for one or two games.

I read the same article,so you don't need to claim it as your idea LOL

Im borderline getting out of control here…or am I? It’s potentially a dream trade opportunity for a franchise. What did the Niners give up so they could draft Lance the done nothing ever QB? Teams been trading a mint to get hold of a starting QB…they have to open up the vault for. McKee can’t even be paid yet. Some lucky franchise gets a whole season dirt cheap to actually figure out all that before requiring that next step investment. Value..value…cha ching..cha ching

You are talking about QB's without talking about a supporting cast. Hurts has the best in the league, even McKee with our 2's has a supporting cast that could be on par with some teams starters(see Cincy game). Putting either Hurts or McKee to helm a team with CRAP supporting cast would be putting them on a train to nowhere. Put either of them in Tennessee and watch them fail

Now TBH I wouldn't consider trading Hurts, NOR McKee. We can talk at the end of this season. We won a Lombardi with Foles and if Hurts went down we'd have to do it with McKee who "seems" capable. I could not trust our stretch run to T-R nor McCord AT THIS TIME. If the FO wants to trade McKee,they should be damn sure of one or the other 2 QB's and from the play I saw, they aren't ready for the big stage

Or…S, right? According to me,if you ever paid attention to actually read and consider enough to comprehend my actual thoughts ..instead of just default battling against….were that I believe DeJean is a heck of a player…a playmaker, return and ball skills…but… but …what has always been my main sticking point and questioning about him? Just no belief you are going to actually remember all I ACTUALLY said. So remind you. I kept asking TD if DeJean was an outside CB before the draft. Felt it was very important for me to sign off on agreeing he was worthy of our first round pick. That’s the position i just didn’t feel he was ready to perform at. Not completely already defining his entire career before draft or today. Not saying he can’t…but not sure whether he can or not. Nickle and S…returns? Yes. I don’t even question. Easy transition to the NFL. Tons of growth potential. Heck…he’s better than Ceedy Duce. CGJ had ball skills…but DeJean had that and will return it to the house!!! Ceedy Duce took just terrible angles of pursuit in tackling…not the best decisions. Very vocal and dominant personality…but…wasn’t the guy you actually want ideally doing that. Had swagger…which our D was lacking at the time…but far from a role model ideal organizational piece.

Back to DeJean outside. That’s going to be the hardest transition for him. That’s been my sticking point. That was my issue. Don’t think he’s a great ..maybe not even a good option outside right at this long early in his career. But Slot CB don’t get paid. Just business. If forced to play DeJean outside I believe it would have hurt us short term. It would have been forced…which if you pay attention think it’s very clear even…or will be made very clear once you witness what happens.

LMAO DeJean will be paid according to the value he brings to the team. He is doing superbly in whatever role they ask of him. Therein lies the value. Howie will pay him accordingly until such time his salary outweighs his value

Idk that I have seen a better slot CB in quite awhile. When you need to cover the likes of JJ from the slot, there is value in being able to cover him. Howie will pay what he feels the players value is(or make the offer). At that point the player can accept or reject said offer. Sometimes it's not about money, it's about SB's and prestige and recognition which cannot be bought and even other players "like it here and we don't want to move"

If you move him outside WHO would be the slot CB that could play that position as well as he does? I'm sure he could play safety is we asked him to(and we could see that on some sets)

Nope never, how does it work with a BU QB?

It’s a tricky situation. Exactly why I’ve thought it very discussion worthy to dive all into as a subject. Lesser organizations, coaches and GMs the situation could easily be completely screwed up. But we have strength there. GM isn’t going to bend over backwards sally to please a good young player like that. HC…good at be consistent and honest ..while having most players back. The main key: Fangio. Fangio met this challenge head on. Fangio came right out to the press addressing this issue in the middle of nowhere football calendar. He wasn’t required to hold any press conferences or speak to the media one bit anywhere around that time. Takes more than X and O to be a great coach…though he checks that box with authority. Fangio got hold of any mic available to loudly applaud how outstanding DeJean is at Nickle. How he prefers him playing that position. Backs it up with a belief DeJean enjoys very much playing that position.

Ok…so first practice though…DeJean taking reps outside. So he got what he asked for. But…Fangio is one heck of a DC. Think he just might have given DeJean some glimpses. Like ..”believe in you kid…but you need more work on it.” But…how about S?

Or…Q moves along with the number one. I mean..DeJean isn’t covering Jefferson anywhere. Heck would say no CB really could…but Q has me believing…probably beyond any reasonable belief.

See the key here is you only can think in extremes. Just almost stupid to throw away legacy changing money that will benefit your children, parents, cousins, greatgrand children. You can’t just think about it from your own personal financial situation. Try and step in DeJean’s shoes. I’d love to make in a year what a second round rookie earns. But no relevance here. For DeJean it’s peanuts compared to his potential earnings. You are caught up in any player looking to get paid is greedy and not a team player. Just not being fair FL. NFL pay is short term. Some players get just one big contract opportunity to set themselves up for a lifetime. You are mixing up different situations pretending like it’s all the same. Example: a guy already signed his big contract after his rookie deal. Once he’s made tons of money…then it’s easier and more possible to except a few million less to chase becoming a champion. DeJean is already a champion. He doesn’t have that hole in his wishlist/resume. He hasn’t made that big money yet. Your asking way too much….to be a supposed "team player.”

In short: every player has to sign that first extension for about as large as they can go. I think the team friendly art at that point would be excepting team friendly financial structures so Rosie can massage that cap. Example: Hurts.
