You maintain the rights to a player to reap the benefits of forcing the most desperate team to surrender valuable assets to aquire your contracted player.

You're really going to put a franchise tag on a BU QB? Awesome,I have swamp land to sell you

This is jumping years ahead of a situation that’s very current instead. I’m sticking to what can Rosie can get out of somebody much much sooner. Was pretty sure you,FL, were in agreement about McKee over Pickett all along. Wanted to give you that credit. Even No Mas believing McKee was only the third stringer and after one PS game flipped to McKee trade value at franchise QB forever unstoppable now…wins out here. He’s consistent at least…consistently wrong. Also consistently gobbles up any and everything Rosie has and will ever do as CAN DO NO WRONG. No Mas being wrong this time though just makes Rosie look all the more amazing. Turning the third stringer QB into unimaginable trade returns for us. It’s a lose..win. Any which way it’s a win for us all…being great for our franchise!

So if a stretch run is needed,a playoff caliber QB to lead us if Hurts went down you are counting on T-R or McCord?(Kiss that trophy goodbye)

I read the same article,so you don't need to claim it as your idea LOL

Funny..because I haven’t come across that yet. Not that surprising though. Because if you have the ability to process some steps ahead…felt like a real scenario for us. I do fully claim it as my idea…it was simply exactly that of me sharing my thoughts….but it being a singularly individual thought by me alone? Wouldn’t claim that. Something I…ANd others have considered and contemplated for years. What’s best: the better backup QB or the slightly lesser QB fits the O closer to the starter? Answer isn’t that cut and dry simple unfortunately. Would say of the starter goes down long term? You just adapt and change the O completely and want the best option. But higher percentage of potential scenarios…just to come in during a game unexpectedly…or one or two week needs…you don’t want to rip the whole O up over that.

A decent GM could make a great sale on McKee right now

Why can't be make a great sale at the end of the season?

It was almost paraphrased word for word LOL

objects are only worth what someone will pay. Why would I value Pete Carroll's views and give him "top respect" over those of Fangio? Fangio will do for the Eagles, not because Carroll wants a player we have. I would respect Carroll if he shuts down our entire offense, not before then

Legion of Boom…yeah..I can’t even get started…Pete Carroll has a very extensive top history track record backing him up as elite all time levels. You missed a few decades of football back there…yet Carroll at 100 or whatever is still doing it…so just watch some football.

I don’t want to discredit him. But…too simpleton thinking. Took much more than just Rosie. If we are going to credit one man the most? I’ll give it to Lurie first. But really just embarrassing you type such thoughts. At least we all can know where your opinions are coming from.

Yep they come from the correct angle while yours spin around the drain

The frying pan comes first 😄

Have to defer to No Mas when it comes to his family tree here. Can’t catch the chicken…but the egg his on his face. Probably explains his poor hindsight vision.

My track record right here speaks for itself. I’ll stand on it proudly. Had some misses. Needed to adjust my opine at times. But actually was b1tch1ing and complaining about exactly Rosie shortcomings for years well before he finally got there. Call it whatever pleases you..no doubts you will anyway. But I clearly was identifying Rosie weaknesses …which was exactly what he changed that made all this finally occur. I can’t say I could challenge him in his stead of strength though. Heck…looking like not many at all could/can. Simplest explanation surrounding it: I played football.

How bad has "Rosie(juvenile) been the last 5 years?

I prefer to go for a dynasty run... to become a dynasty you need that 2nd championship to start.... having a quality backup cheap QB is a great tool to win a championship. Also a great tool for sustained success in managing the salary cap.

The way the picks were flipped for Pickett and also getting another QB with an extended team control for another extra year.... works great as McKee develops into a good quality backup with 2 more years of team control. Beautiful QB factory of drafting guys and developing them at minimum $$$. Great QB factory. And then if it results into a comp pick, great bonus.

The factory of being able to draft and not having to go spend money.... a beautiful thing.

McCord will be groomed to be the next one. Great pipeline going

Waiting for the day Carroll shuts down our offense, then I could be impressed. Week 15 you will get your chance to show us all how it's done as we play LV at home

Now TBH I wouldn't consider trading Hurts, NOR McKee. We can talk at the end of this season. We won a Lombardi with Foles and if Hurts went down we'd have to do it with McKee who "seems" capable. I could not trust our stretch run to T-R nor McCord AT THIS TIME. If the FO wants to trade McKee,they should be damn sure of one or the other 2 QB's and from the play I saw, they aren't ready for the big stage

Here Ham try READING sometime????

FL to answer your question without dodging…other Nickle options are Ricks and Mukuba. But your question was poor..in that…in base DeJean was to play outside and move inside in Nickle. You completely missed that whole key detail.

Because it's a NON detail

So still waiting on how we tag a BU QB and use it to our advantage. Tell me how it's done

LMAO TD123 and I have been singing McKees praises well before he was even a thought for you. Stop with the I. me, my BS. Now suddenly you are onboard, but it was all about you thinking it was your thought? Please

I did credit you…or maybe it appeared after you stated this…but again you went way overboard. You didn’t identify McKee well before me. TD I credit also. Really thought it was something a large portion of us very knowledgable Eagles fans were seeing each step of the way. Not like any of us had him as our draft choice praising. Not like McKee looked like he does currently first day as an Eagles either. But…you could just see the guy had ‘It.’ Not going way extreme believing he’s a HOF potential player now though. Just saying he can play.

But see this is where TD, you…uh ohh can I say I and include myself in consistently sharing these thoughts all along? It’s all about me..oh no! McKee situation wasn’t just me at all…believed it was a large group of us that saw it all along. Actually was more about Your boy who you claim did it all by himself…but in this specific situation he was the guy more blind to it. He brought him in…credit…but blind to he was better than Pickett…bad.

How Does the NFL Franchise Tag Work?

By deploying the franchise tag, teams buy themselves an extra year of service time from whichever player they choose as their franchise player. The franchise tender is often used when a club cannot finalize a long-term contract extension with a player it hopes to retain.

Once a team applies the franchise tag, that player is under contract for one more season. As soon as the player signs the franchise tag contract, the salary attributed to the tag is guaranteed and cannot be rescinded unless a long-term contract is agreed upon So,Ham you want to do this for McKee even though he still has 2 more years left on his contract?

See…reality isn’t only everything is always either rainbow and butterflies or dumpster fire. Reality is: each step judged unbiased and fairly piece by piece. Some good…some bad…some just meah…some fantastic! Good life lesson for you to apply everywhere far from here more importantly for you.
