Final drive was all Cole. I saw the Patullo offense. Anyone see anything new/different? Payton saved the shut out

2025 = 24 (scored TD first 3 possessions, then the FG, then the storm caused a delay, neither teams scored after that) vs Dallas

2024 = 34 points in Brazil vs Green Bay

2023 = 25 points in rain at New England with the infamous Gainwell start

2022 = 38 points at Detroit

2021 = 32 points at Atlanta

2024- did we watch that Brazil game offense was sloppy and sluggish the entire game offense had what 3-4 turnovers.

2023- Slay has a pick 6 so the offense was bad scored what 18 points definition of sluggish

2022- 31 by the offense hmmm 🤔 looking pretty solid.

Trend right there tend to play cleaner better football when the starters get some reps in the preseason

I know its preseason but did it look as bad as it sounded on live streaam?

JMO, not many bright spots, especially as a unit. Some individual plays made. Lampkin looked good. Secondary BU's looked very weak. Fangio has to be ripping out his hair but the starters should be great. I saw patullos offense, nothing different except QB's under center. Too many penalties on D which seems happens every pre for us. Fangio will clean that up. Best QB was the rook who was the only one to move the team . if the new O scheme is 3 and outs,it's working well HAHAHAHA. Very tough game to know who stood out because nobody did. Bell looked ok,so that was a good thing. First pre,no need to panic, but as for a sorting out players to cut,you could probably cut most of them. Trotter looked OK. Obviously the D gave up way too much. I was a bit disappointed. not because of the score, but because we couldn't move the ball. Others will have better takes than me,but what I saw was pretty lame. Mannion has to learn too,so playing poorly was a definite "I got work to do" moment for him. Our starters are great as units, but suffice to say the BU's looked pretty horrid. I hope they clean things up fast. Nigerian dude who didn't know how to put a helmet on even got a few snaps. Won 1 and got beat on a few, but he's never played the game. This could be a spark for him. Seems he worked hard enough to get a few snaps, which I wasn't expecting to see until year 2. IMO there is no other way for our BU's to go but UP. I would describe the game as "Pedestrian" and those got run over at about every crosswalk LOL. Dalton and McKee definitely took a back seat to Cole Payton.

O stinks….some how it’s Hurts fault…I know

You have serious issues when you have a grizzled vet experienced with the O Dalton at QB in PS and you stink.

Only first PS game. First time playcalling along with so many other firsts. I’d expect Mannion probably to stink. Does leave you wondering just how far away he is though?

Sticking with opinion hard to believe he survives here. The high ceiling potential but needs to be developed …doesn’t fit.

Yes. However, how many guys even played that will make the roster?

Worry is that no rookies impressed even a little. First play from scrimmage, rookie TE called for holding. Ouch.

But preseason football is freaking boring!

Half the guys that will be on our roster

Bell impressed.

Weru held his own.

Bernard got 13 snaps, and none were overtly bad

Lampkin (not a rookie) looked good.

SIX 1st downs in the entire GAME. That tells you how bad the offense was.

The fact that Ringo is still on this team tells you how bad the backup DBs are.

The Ravens’ rookie QB….first game ever in the NFL…outplayed all the Eagles’ QBs by FAR!

Yes, it was bad football by the Eagles.

Half? Bet me on that please. Practice squad doesnt count.

Cole Payton showing some flashes though nice to see sure was against 4th strings and guys probably not going to make the NFL but it’s a start

Hopefully Cole will get an opportunity to play with the 2s especially if Dalton/Mckee play like they did against the ravens

No way Bell impressed don’t you know he is already a bust that we reached on and should never have drafted he is so flawed just terrible lol 😂….

But serious it is nice seeing Bell come along be huge for him to be our next stud T

3rd down conversions….0-9.

0-9! What the?

Preseason game. Thank goodness. That is soooo bad!

Payton threw 2 passes that are picks vs starters….but he did give them a "spark”….after the game was well decided.

5th round pick can’t expect perfection he still has to adjust to the NFL game speed. Sure it’s drastically different from the D2 he played at NDSU who was an absolute powerhouse at that level ( now they moved onto D1)

Honestly would like to see Payton throw some bad ints in the preseason test that arm really see what windows he can challenge v what he can’t

Ringo so fast he did recover from getting burned to make that pick in the endzone.

Solid listing of the positives

You see bigger issues going on with just needing to get the O up to speed with Mannion? Otherwise I wouldn’t really be disagreeing with you. Tanner and Dalton should be real strong running an O in the PS. Things are that far off.

Siri holding Mannion back. Now..not meant attacking Siri way. Siri very much believes in not showing your cards before regular season games. The bashing Siri part would be that Siri very much needed to not give away his hand because he was so limited to begin with.
