With all the injuries to our Rb room do we look to bring Gains back from the Bucs? Likely be had for a late round draft pick knows the system the players and reliable blocker, pass catcher, underrated runner.

Might not make a huge difference who is at RB if the OL not blocking well though

Why do you think Gainewell would be available? Didn't he just sign a multiple year deal with Tampa?

Nope, it's a new system under Mannion, not the one he left. That being said no reason for the bucs to part with him unless we made it worth their while

He is a name being passed around in reports as possibly being on the block

Was reported last week Hurts was dealing with a calf injury leading into the Jags game. Coming out now he hurt it during the rams game the week prior.

Is there a point where resting Hurts makes more sense? His best attribute is his legs and ability to run. Not sure how much the calf effects this but he did only run what like 2 times v the Jags and already on a new low in rush attempts this season think he is around like 4 per game

Well Hurts is out this Sunday we shall see McKee. Hurts apparently has a blood clot in his leg

Sooooo the offense is now

Backup QB

4th string RB

3rd string LG

3rd string C

Backup RT

Backup WR

So only remaining starters right now are Mailata, Steen, Geodart, Wicks, Lemon

hurts the X factor but siri o gave him blood clots which will dictate 2030 cap next siri contract.

So with Hurts out indefinitely do we see everyone’s favorite QB return in Andy Dalton? Was already report saying we were trying to get him into the PS. Could still place him on the PS and call him up

Additional information:

1. If he undergoes a small surgery to remove the clot (if applicable):

The incision heals in about 7–10 days.

He could miss 1-2 games

2. If the SVT ≥5 cm, or within about 3 cm of the saphenopopliteal junction:

Start standard treatment is about 45 days of fondaparinux 2.5 mg (the CALISTO protocol) or rivaroxaban 10 mg.

The NFL won't clear a player for contact on active anticoagulation.

That leaves two options:

- Sit out the full course, about 6 weeks.

- Use timed DOAC dosing: hold the dose about 24–48 h before game day and resume after. This is the NHL/NBA model, used with players like Letang and Fleischmann. It allows a return in about 2–3 weeks, but it's off-label and depends on team physician and hematology comfort.

- If it was actually a deep clot (gastrocnemius/soleal veins or popliteal):

the standard is 3 months of therapeutic anticoagulation, which is essentially season-ending

Lots of different possibilities and I’m sure the Eagles are exploring them now

Philly has a bye in Week 10

So after watching the video above and reading the additional information he provided…. Sounding like Hurts could be out anywhere from 2 weeks to the entire season.

On the bright side, McKee is probably more used to playing with the guys we have let than Hurts

I’m more interested in seeing what the offense looks like with a more natural I guess passer not like McKee is a major threat to run has more of a gunslinger mindset… likely better better at passing on time etc.

That's what I said, he has played with our 2's and 3's, which is the team we are fielding right now. So maybe the QB matches the players we have left

You think the Eagles would pay that much for a RB now? I think they would love to have him but I think he is too expensive. That's before even giving up any draft picks

Didn’t look at Gainwells contract the report came out that he could be on the block and posed the question and this was all prior to Hurts injury update.

That what like 1.8m cap hit? Since most of his salary was already paid by the Bucs. The late day 3 pick the trade would likely cost? Or you talking the 2027 cap hit where they likely cut or trade him and save 4m????

I’m trying to see where this was an outlandish take?

But again this was all prior to the Hurts news breaking which obviously changes things

2 years $14 million I believe. Pretty expensive for a backup ....which is why I was confused that Tampa made that offer??

Just the idea of Eagles paying more than one RB.... I can't see them doing it just for this year, and then cutting him. With or without Hurts, I just think they would go a cheaper option, probably a free agent or someone off a practice squad.

On some good Eagles news sounds like Smitty was limited at practice so possibility he returns this week against the panthers.

Also Kendall was limited at practice as well not sure if or how much of an upgrade over Majors he is but hopefully it’s helps the OL some.

Tanner could really help this team if he plays well over the next couple weeks( or longer depending on Hurts situation) if he plays well could lead to a nice payday for him in FA and comp pick for Philly.

Seattle game has been a strange one. Great defense, all offense has been forced

Blood thinners and repeated horrific crashes do not mix.

Not at all sure a filter is indicated.

It is either that or blood thinners.

Not expecting much out of tbe Eagles this year

W/U results will be interesting

We (me at least) wanted to see McKee with the 1's. Not happening overnight as alot of our 1's are out. O line is really our issue and getting Bark back would help. Even with a reduce O line he's still a good RB and capable of making some yards. Really so decimated, it's unfortunate
