S-below average, LB average or a little below, edge-average sometimes above not a sustained top unit IMO. What's bad is lack of sacks. I see them getting pressure sometimes, but not finishing

Overall on all 3 units the tackling is REALLY BAD!!!!

We used the run as a weapon...not as waste the clock...it was how we moved the ball

Right, sustained drives keeping the D rested to make plays and wearing out opponents D's. even in a clock killing scenario we could move the chains, even if you get a FG out of it

You rate the LB unit higher than I do LOL. Edge, really disappointing. Do they have the talent? I believe they do or could. I see those guys not really playing to a high level, aka coasting. I think they get tired out due to lack of offense and who(normal people) are going to give all they have when you are abused game after game with no rest? At some point you go into "I need to look out for me" mode and I feel that's what I'm seeing. As a unit-average to below average due to lack of sustained effort(due to being tired out). They show flashes at times and disappear at times

Do they have an edge that needs a double team? I don't see one.

So edge...LB...safety...not looking so talented in 5 of those 6 spots.

Now you move to DT and CB. I think we can agree above average...but in today's game they set up plays where they make the other positions cover... and it's tough to get consistent pass rush from the inside.

So now we move on to offense

Let's start with QB. You see a stand out talent there?

Even with bark and Lane we couldn't get him to the 2nd level. NO RB is going to do well when he's hit behind the LOS

Or.

.give to Barkley and he moves the ball into scoring position . Without wearing anyone out or all that...simply you can't stop us running...so we score.

100% agree here

But we can't do that now. No O line. Bark

runs for 4 yards in 2 downs and Hurts can't convert=3 and out

You already know I am not a Hurts fan LOL. McKee I thought had promise, then he died on the vine. We play Hurts because we pay him.I see no other reason

QB...I think we can say...not elite..talent wise.

Now look at OL? I don't think elite at all... lets say ... average both QB and OL...

Where OL and QB are most important to an offense.

Now go RB. I like our RB unit...I would say above average. Maybe top 8 to top 12.

Right... so it's not a standout elite weapon to use because the talent isn't elite.

So for this exercise I rate Hurts well below average. In fact I showed a post where he was QB 19/32 last year and has now slipped to 24/32 and now he may not be that good LOL

Ok..so Average QB, OL....a little above at RB.... TE? I think average at TE. Not elite at all. Depth and health are a factor..age too.

Well now we get into "which guys"? The "starters" haven't really played together as a unit because the injuries continue. so IDK what we have. At this time I rate them below average since they can't open a hole to save their behinds. Average on pass pro, below on runs

IDK jury out. Right now below, but Goedert just got back and the Jags are good at TE coverage, so no opinion for me. I don't think Stowers "gets it"

If we have Bark and Tank, the talent is there IMO, but you have to open holes and block at level 2 and our O line hasn't shown they can do either, so IMO the talent is there at RB being hindered by the O line and stupid screen play calls. IMO wasted talent at RB. They both can excel if they have an O line

WR-once again Average to above, but Hurts needs to hit them in stride not behind or over. They are WR's not magicians

Ok...so average at QB,OL, TE...a little above at RB. Now look at WR...

I like our WRs... but I don't see " ELITE" talent. Smith is excellent..top 20. Wicks is nice he is absolutely top 40 or 50.

But you look around the league...I see Flowers and London tonight, Moore, Adam's and Puka tomorrow. JSN, Evans, Waddle, Sutton, St Brown, Williams, all playing at 4pm...

Would I say the Eagles are so superior to those teams? Not at all.

So looking at the roster... after breaking it down at each position.

Do you really consider the 2026 Eagles as this extremely superior talented team... or more right around average. Especially at the engine of the offense being QB and OL.

The RBs and the WRs are the tinsel on the tree..not the foundation part. So even if we are a little above average there, not the same impact.

On D...the pass rush is not there nor the coverage in the middle of the field.

So the areas you need to succeed...far...FAR FROM ELITE.

The point is... can you see where I am trying to get you to drop this " we are so talented " idea. ????

Hurts passing is not accurate nor skilled in my view. Throwing behind means they are stopped at the point of contact, lead them correctly and they can play. That goes for Smitty, Cooper and Wicks. Lemon not there yet. Darius is the go to guy right now

You keep making my point for me! So we should be done with this idea that we are so superior anymore....right?

They just showed Siri on TV at halftime. he said(about the kick off) I did not make that decision and it cost us the game. he is taking the blame. The it must have been Mannion's call and Siri let it ride

I never said we were superior LOL. Can we do better? ALOT if we really tried. I said we had the talent on O,which we do,but we aren't using it or can't because of a below average O line

Siri also said the guys played hard. Agreed. They gave us a lead I was not expecting, then all their hard work went down the drain on a crap call, Very demoralizing

Wow. Game observations:

  • Coaching decisions will be the headlines…and maybe should be….but lots of other issues

  • I love Q Mitchell. I was worried about his knee injury. He played great…but his "effort” to tackle Lawrence on a QB run?…..embarrassing!

  • Baun is an OUTSTANDING football player! Defense is so much better with him playing.

  • Jalen Carter was a stud today.

  • Defense, again, played their butt off!

  • Offense is OFFENSIVE! Plenty of backups, but they made it to the NFL. They must be talented enough.

  • I disagree about Lemon. I see a player improving. He needs more opportunities that are NOT WR screens!

  • Wicks is average. Played great today.

  • Ertz….love him…but he is a liability now. He cant block. He can’t separate.

  • RB….do they have one now?

  • OL is nowhere close to the 2024 team. I mean, NOT EVEN CLOSE! Lane Johnson is a once in a lifetime tackle talent. Jason Kelce is also a HOF player. This group is……we will see.

  • Safeties are average to below average. I liked Sidney Brown , but they drafted the kid from Texas high so he was expendable. Playing great for Atlanta. Epps…Carter…both below average. You cannot do anything special with them. So Joe, safeties are below average comparable to the other 32 teams…..say 20-25th best. Numbers completely estimated.

  • Really disappointing to see them lose after kicking the FG to lead with 8 seconds left. I was CERTAIN they would kick it out of the stadium and play one play on defense.

I have to be honest...as much as we can criticize the kickoff.... as a decision.

They get it at the 35..get 20 yards out of bounds...they lose anyway.

The kick itself was short...normally it at the goal line... this was at the 10 and the returner caught it running forward. And even then...you gotta make the tackle.

Brutal execution.

I like blaming the coach ...but I'd be embarrassed if was covering that kick. .or made the kickoff.

So, Siri took the blame, but just tossed Mannion under the bus. I'm sick of "I need to do better" Both Siri and Mannion need to be on the same page
