https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/_/year/2024/status/available/position/rb/sort/contract_value Available FA RB's. If you wanted to add one of them, under 2 mil that would be fine with me if you REALLY need to have one. I kind of liked Damien Harris although he was never used much so IDK what he is capable of

If we are paying Sanders Boston Scott money fine decent backup but paying him 7.7m or even 5m to be a backup RB is insane

What does Sanders offer the team?   He is a first and second down RB...gives nothing as far as pass blocking or receiving and nothing on special teams.

He could pay the Eagles to play...still makes no sense.

There is an out in his contract after this season. Probably have to take on about a 3.5 mil cap hit this season with him.

Why?

He’d be a strong compliment to Barkley and Shipley.

He sucks

Give us a guy that could be the lead if Saquan misses any time.

You gotta move on bro....this is an " I called it wrong"

Just doesn’t sound like a logical move to trade for Sanders if he gets cut and we can get him for around 2m sure but otherwise meh

Why would you want to pay him $2 million?

All these freaking C on the team and we had Toth as second team C…again…oh lord. Didn’t work last off season…what would have improved?

Idk.... you believe Hurts will improve....but Toth can't improve?

Toth is older. But the guy stinks at shotgun snapping. It was so bad they were forced to make the move last offseason. He’s like our fifth best C…yet he’s in the second string taking snaps at C. His worst position along the line.

Don’t won’t to make the same mistakes as last season.

Can't say I am a Toth fan,but they have to work out everyone at camp to make informed cut decisions. Just because he takes snaps doesn't mean he will be on the 53. We got the C from NC state as a rook prospect. NC state was a fairly formidable team last year  and he was the O line anchor

He’s a much better option as the second team C

Agreed,Did Toth do any work as a RG BU? I thought he was in a few games? I don't recall

Yeah but he hasn't been here long. Takes time to adjust to the NFL and learn the plays and how we make the C calls. So I imagine if he is 1/2 way coherent he will be seeing some time later

They just try to make sure rookies aren’t handed anything. Hennessy they have as second team RG…that’s what’s creating this issue.

Well once again, they need to see guys play, not go by last year, especially since the new coaches need to see these players in action they have never seen before. So everyone gets a shot, then you know who to keep. I would suspect the rook C stays on even if it's the PS

Yeah Toth listed as a T/G

So ...Hurts can improve reading " the complicated NFL defenses"   but a dude can't improve flipping a ball 5 yards through his legs?

If the Eagles pay you half a million dollars or whatever. ...you have no other job... you don't think a year from now you could snap a football?

Like that's it... you can only learn snapping a football by a certain age?

Yet magically a guy could learn to process and make decisions reading a " complicated NFL defense" ...because he can squat 600 lbs?

What Scott made as a backup just seems like the amount the eagles would be willing to spend on a backup RB….

Exactly what you stated a backup RB capable of filling the early down roles in the likely possibility Barkley misses time.  And even spell Barkley on those early downs at times.

Sanders was also a pretty solid pass blocker even if he wasn’t a great receiver.

So yea at the price of 2m which is what we paid Boston Scott last year yea id be alright with him as the backup think he is better option then Scott was and what Gainwell offers us now as well.

Zero,we have the RB's we need, don't see a need to pay anyone else. If Bark went down we can add one. Gains Ship and the other kid would be ok in rotational RBBC. Would just need to alter the playbook a bit

What does it hurt to pay a player of its an upgrade? Obviously wouldn’t pay Sanders contract but finding a guy around that 2m mark for a year like we paid Scott last year that could be an upgrade over Gains don’t see any problem with it.

Why pay before you know what Shipley can do? Why pay before you see who gets cut from other teams. I see no rush on this if we add one at all. If we do,fine but no need to rush out before the smoke clears
