The issue with both of the last two guys is they couldn't pass protect. It's why Gainwell logged a lot if snaps, yet didn't touch the ball as much. Ratio touches per snap. 4.5 carries per game for 4.6 yards a game....that's fine for one of your backups. The issue last year is they got zero from the #3 RB. If you get another 5 carries from that guy, then the run game becomes more of a factor for the defense to have to stop. It's a subtle difference that ends up being huge. Can Shipley get 5 carries per game to keep the defense on their heels ??? That would be ideal. You get 10 more carries in addition to Barkley each game... helps out a ton over 17 games. Big difference, especially considering Gainwell's injury last year..and still nothing from #3. Gainwell got all the carries except one that first game. Rewatch the game if you already forgot how close that game was against the Pats. Then rewatch week two when Gainwell was hurt and Swift finally got the start. Ran all over them. Shipley should be in front of Gainwell quickly if Siri gets out of the way. Have two quality other RBs I believe could compliment our RB room better than Gainwell this season also. Kendall Milton that pure rusher I give the edge too from Georgia.

He took much less…but took less AND gave team control away about his future. Dumber than just signing a straight one year deal to accept less money. Queen has a terrible agent. Steelers worked a brilliant best signing of the offseason contract on this one.

Little impact for money spent. Train wreck because they gave all their player away(see DJ Moore and McCaffrey)
