The Safety Hurts took. It’s really hard to figure out what Hurts could have done to avoid it. But clearly he shouldn’t have that many guys come straight attacking him so quickly. Hurts is at fault here also. But nowhere close to some JV peewee mistake. He was running for his life and couldn’t avoid all the rushers and get outside the T box. They caught him.

Stop and drop would have allowed another play? Oh not in the rules either. A free 2 and the ball back, a possible 9 point error. JV A 4-5 yard sack would be explainable at least, not a 12 yard run into the EZ. This is the crap we are trying to convey to you to no avail

Aikman even clearly states nowhere to throw the ball with everybody covered.

He had to go around the outside rusher beating Mailata…but Dickerson was straight going backwards on skates.

See this is a play that just shows off how you both recourse to ever admit any other player having responsibilities for anything. Four man rush. Three of them beat our blocking…quickly. Pushing straight back into Hurts. Does anybody else have a job to do on our team other than Hurts in either of your minds?

The ball was on the 14...  that's plenty of room not to take a safety.

Watch the play... he ran backwards... pump faked instead of just running to throw it away....this after running backwards into the end zone in the first place.

Stop and toss the ball into the middle of the field for an incomplete or stop and take the sack. You have to read and react, you can't take 15 minutes to make decisions

Are you talking about the play in Tampa?   Was your TV working ?

This is where you lose us.... you just can’t bring yourself to find any fault with Hurts.   Specific plays where he makes errors....pee wee league mistakes, and you just try to look for every excuse to not blame him.

Then these vague....  " he can always improve " but never offer anything specific you think he can improve on.

Three Oline get beat badly blocking and all you can do is …blame Hurts?

So you see no issue that all there rushers push our Oline back so quickly like they’re on skates here?

Hurts needs to be ready for anything, including the failure of the O line. He has to react not try to win the game from the 14. Take the lesser of the evils,it that's a sack that's better than a turnover with points attached

Pull the ball down,6 yard sack, get another play. This is the JV stuff he needs to learn. Then you can blame the O line LOL

Mailata and Lane meet both their rushers all the way back at the three yard line. Hurts couldn’t escape. Clearly he was trying to. But Dickerson getting pushed straight back in the middle of the pocket so quickly made the situation a disaster. All receivers were covered. Oline blocked like crap. But it was just Hurts fault…sure.

Kelce and Cam doubled team their guy. Only ones I see that did their job well on that play.

Yeah not his style and really nothing I want him really going. Would have been wiser for him to lay down and get mauled over by the retreating Oline and pass rushers. But any competitive player tries to fight to make a play…or get rid of the ball. Pretty much what players have to routinely do in the NFL. There was several games in a row where half our O was Hurts avoiding pressure by escaping then throwing downfield.

We would have been much worse than the seventh ranked O if hurts just fell down taking every sack

https://www.nfl.com/videos/cards-score-safety-on-hurts-intentional-grounding-penalty-in-the-end-zone Also did similar at AZ and he didn't learn squat for the TB disaster. if you need to throw the ball away you need to know roughly where your receivers are but Hurts only makes 1 read, that is the issue here. Stop throwing where there is no one, that will get flagged every time

This clearly shows Hurts has no idea where his other receivers are on the field

In my point of view need a better playcall from coaching, need a receiver to win his matchup, need Oline to not get beat so quickly and badly….then I’ll get to blaming Hurts for his role after everybody else failed to do their job.

Some QB's have to deal with the defense in their face every play. Time to step up from the JV squad

Ok.... EVERYONE f#$Ed on the play....whose responsibility is it not to take a safety?   The QB could have taken a sack on the 5... taken an intentional grounding penalty....tried to escape outside the endzone... not pump faked, just get outside to throw it away.

It's the QBs job to live for another play...and not to make a bad situation worse.

The Safety was Hurts fault.

And gave AZ 2 points and the ball back and TB 2 points and the ball back. All QB's take sacks, please. Hurts will get his share, but giving away points in not a good offensive idea. Perhaps without those we would have had the #5 offense?

Yep,but we're spitting into the wind here LOL

He pump faked because he wanted to throw the ball away…but realized he wasn’t outside the T box…so he tried to get outside that to just get rid of the ball. Against a four man rush

A play can have many reasons why it isn't successful.

The QB is ultimately responsible for the degree of failure....unless he is hit blindly.

Being rushed is not his fault.   How he makes a bad situation worse .... worse than just taking a sack....when he makes a bad decision under pressure to throw a ball that he shouldn't that gets picked....or when he keeps running backwards for a longer sack,  specifically when his initial drop is at the 5 yard line and then he runs backwards into the endzone.

I’m going to go out on a limb and state that when no receivers get open…and three of your Oline get smoked…bad things usually happen.
