Nobody was open…Aikmen even clearly stated it. Hurts do very clearly was looking over trying to find any of his receivers he could even throw towards.

I never said blameless. I just stated I blamed him last on that play…other than Kelce and Cam the only successful players for us

if no one is open throw it at a receivers feet,he had ZERO clue where his receivers were and threw into an open field,that's JV stuff. A Qb should be able to throw in the general direction of any receiver even if he is blindfolded. You gotta know where they are on the field

But truthfully this is what Hurts fairly routinely does…is escape. So I wouldn’t take that part of his game away from him. Many times he actually converts into big plays by doing so…whether by running it himself or chucking it deep after the receiver gets open.

Well then see the blame and how Hurts needs to correct it,that is how you progress.He is going to be bull rushed and he needs to have a response other than giving points away

Clearly he got caught. Not the first time…and he’s not the only QB it’s happened to. Tough play. Under that kind of extreme duress I wouldn’t teach my QB to chuck it towards defenders too much though…bad things really happen then.

That is true,my point is if you see you aren't escaping and have to throw it away throw it in a receivers general direction and you don't get flagged. he was in the EZ he needed to know where to throw it away and he did not

It happens,the point is learn from it. See he did the same thing in the AZ game then again in TB,so he didn't learn from the AZ mistake

Field presence/vision or whatever name you attach to it. he needs to be more aware of where EVERY receiver on the field will be EVERY play, that is his job to do

He should not have to try to do everything himself,we have the weapons,we have the O line and he needs to use them. if there is a break down,you need to know what to do,make the decision and get the ball out in the general direction of someone,but see he didn't know where they were and threw into an open field. you can't do that it will get flagged every time

The flaw I see.... he has been able to run away from everyone his whole life...it's why he thought he could pump fake and get away with it.

Yeah as Ham said usually he can do that,but after the pump fake when he knew he was in trouble is where the mistake happened. You cant run straight back,take the sack and get another play. he tries to do too much himself instead of using the tools he has IMO
