This clearly shows Hurts has no idea where his other receivers are on the field

In my point of view need a better playcall from coaching, need a receiver to win his matchup, need Oline to not get beat so quickly and badly….then I’ll get to blaming Hurts for his role after everybody else failed to do their job.

Some QB's have to deal with the defense in their face every play. Time to step up from the JV squad

Ok.... EVERYONE f#$Ed on the play....whose responsibility is it not to take a safety?   The QB could have taken a sack on the 5... taken an intentional grounding penalty....tried to escape outside the endzone... not pump faked, just get outside to throw it away.

It's the QBs job to live for another play...and not to make a bad situation worse.

And gave AZ 2 points and the ball back and TB 2 points and the ball back. All QB's take sacks,please. Hurts will get his share,but giving away points in not a good offensive idea. Perhaps without those we would have had the #5 offense?

He pump faked because he wanted to throw the ball away…but realized he wasn’t outside the T box…so he tried to get outside that to just get rid of the ball. Against a four man rush

A play can have many reasons why it isn't successful.   

The QB is ultimately responsible for the degree of failure....unless he is hit blindly.   

Being rushed is not his fault.   How he makes a bad situation worse .... worse than just taking a sack....when he makes a bad decision under pressure to throw a ball that he shouldn't that gets picked....or when he keeps running backwards for a longer sack,  specifically when his initial drop is at the 5 yard line and then he runs backwards into the endzone.  

I’m going to go out on a limb and state that when no receivers get open…and three of your Oline get smoked…bad things usually happen.

The pump fake ( which the DL didn't give a crap about) only slowed down Hurts from getting clearly outside the box... and having a better chance of staying outside the end zone.  

It was a mistake made by Hurts....hopefully he learns from it.  Hopefully he isn't surrounded by people like yourself who never blame him for anything...because he won't learn

If you're going to throw the ball away KNOW WHERE your receivers are and throw it at their feet. You need to know where these players are,that is the QB's job

He made the same mistake in the AZ game(see post) then did it again in TB

Clearly Hurts tried to get rid of the ball…fought like heck to just be able to unload it. He didn’t make it. Hard to ask a guy to shut off that competitor in him. He initially tried to escape to the right…but Laje got smoked and he couldn’t. Was going backwards because Dickerson was getting bull rushed and dominated so badly. So he tried to escape to his left…but Mailata got beat also. Tough play. You can’t point your finger at Hurts always. Up to you. He was in a heck of a difficult situation on that play. I’m sure he wishes he could have it back and have replaced all his supporting cast failing him in that moment. Just taken the snap and taken a knee instantly.

He saw all the receivers…blanketed by defenders. That would have been worse than taking the safety…would have likely been a pick six.

Right...take the sack on the 5...in fact he could have leaned forward to fall around the 8.

Because everyone messed up on the play...so the QB shouldn't have made it worse.
