They can call a time out and overrule the play in place on either side of the ball,so sure it's possible
July 21, 20241 yr Author https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Tyler-Warren-TE-PennState You locals keep your eyes on this kid in the upcoming college year. You will get more chances to see him than I will. Not a round 1 guy,but he could turn into a nice weapon down the road. Yes, i know it's early but we still need to locate that TE2

July 21, 20241 yr 13 hours ago, joemas6 said: Was that the case though? Or just that he was the best player available..by far. Who happened to play C his last year at Alabama due to best fit for them? Think it played out similar to Cam. Dickerson thrived at G though. So they just left him there. Draft another C. C are cheap to draft.

Yes, i know it's early but we still need to locate that TE2 Rosie has been excellent drafting TEs. Not really too worried about it. But it’s really time to draft that next guy to take over the TE1 spot here. Call him TE2 to start with.

DeJean could offer some insight on him. Just 2 kids to watch as the college realignment season plays out

I was hoping that would be Calc, but it seems he is easily injured,so I don't see him as becoming TE1. That would be unreliable unless he can show he can stay on the field

Goedert was our first pick that draft, I believe the 2nd TE taken? We are going back like 12 drafts? 2 guys... one not as good as the next one taken. Not sure much else in the way of drafting a TE. You could argue they have been good at drafting TE because 2 guys in 12 years... IDK if that is just the fact that both were 2nd round picks. IDK, it's not really something that I would be definitive about being it was 2 picks in 12 years. Not enough sample size really. I'm just talking strictly as being confident that we will easily draft the next TE. The next 2 guys could easily be misses. Or could be another passing on the wrong guy like Ertz/ Kelce.

July 21, 20241 yr Author Top 3 TE prospects per Draftek and where they would go right NOW(which we know is way early). NONE are really round 1(as they show also). I mean I would grab one or the Penn St kid somewhere, but of those 4,still alot of work to do on them all. May be better value in the FA market unless one of the ones we have this year makes a big move. None of them are guys I would beat the door down to get, although we have to see how this college season goes. A guy like Pitts could be worth pursuing if he becomes disgruntled where he is. Goedert kind of had a year off last year,as far as wear and tear on the tread. One of the ones we have need to step into Stolls blocking role,so TE2 as a passing TE with upside to be TE1 seems still a long ways out.Of course any of them could have a stellar season and move the needle,so thats why I said to watch the Penn kid if you get a chance. BTW you can click on the bio links to read more. The top prospect could be worthy of a round 2 selection. He has the credentials and character we look for. If he has a solid this year, that could cement his position on the boards. Draftek is showing the Penn kid as a UDFA. With what he has accomplished thus far, there is no way he stays there. He should definitely be moving up the boards as the season goes on,so keep me updated if you see him in local TV games. I think he is an interesting prospect for us
July 21, 20241 yr Ryan Ramczyk is done for the year due to issues resulting from his offseason knee surgery. This is a crushing blow to the Saints.
July 21, 20241 yr TE just shouldn’t be that huge a priority in our O. I’d be more concerned with a third WR probably than TE1 even.
