TE is on the field more than WR 3. TE blocks for the run. TE 1 has had a nice SB winning run lately. TE 1 has had good success in general lately. Who were the two teams in the SB....the last 4 teams in the conference title games....and really the bulk of the playoff teams? Compare TE 1 to WR 3...and the run games.

If we can find the best TE ever like Kelce thensure. Otherwise I think that third WR should be prioritized for our O.

July 21, 20241 yr Btw....ot course you have to prioritize something we don't have.. compared to our stud. I'm waiting for you to say how RG is the most important OL spot.

And then the " blocking TE " with no threat to be a pass catcher gives away the play. You have a TE that can block, but is a threat to catch a pass... compare that to around the league Curious though.... with Moore specifically, why you would think this way after looking at his track record?
July 21, 20241 yr I mentioned how I was looking at drafting WR Brian Thomas in the first. Talk about making our O elite. But I really like the potential of Q. Think he’s going to be a difference maker. Huge world of difference for him facing all these NFL WRs.

When you have 3 WRs.... how many TEs on the field? Which formation does a WR3 play more than a TE1? I agree we need a 5th option.... to go along with RB, TE and 2 WRs. If it's a stud TE 2 or WR 3, I don't care. But we need a WR 3 that can get open in a phone booth. Not a " deep route" extend the field guy.
July 21, 20241 yr Are we just looking to keep giving Hurts excuses ? Which 10 Non QBs are better than Philadelphia?
July 21, 20241 yr Would we be better off with Higgins or Goedert? I look at the Cincy situation having been more favorable…for us.

With looking around the league in the modern game....success of teams with a good 3rd WR vs the stud TE1 2. With Moore's offense Idk it seems like you get an agenda, but don't pay attention to what's going on.

No need to look for excuses from the best QB in our franchises history. It would be wise to build the O around Hurts though. He’s always much more preferred WR targeting than TE.

You could make the argument for TE 2 vs WR 3....but I would love to have that problem.

July 21, 20241 yr Let's get the college band out there and petition the league for the wide hash mark too.

July 21, 20241 yr My perfect offense.... The set 4....RB ( all around player) TE ( top blocker, plus pass catcher), 2 stud WRs. Now I prefer the quick slot guy.. and the TE 2 that can block but with some pass catching ability. These two pieces were missing. Quez was not a slot fit. I believe the new WRs are a better fit. TE... idk.

July 21, 20241 yr When you see Hurts say... 95% of the offense is new. Lane say, Hurts has had his best offseason as a pro. Smith talk about the freedom they have in their routes... Your first thought is the 2024 Eagles offense is built around Hurts running the ball?
July 21, 20241 yr Why I'm excited...is I believe the 2024 offense isn't going to be built around Hurts running the ball. I believe Barkley offers a better option as a RB running the ball, plus pass protection and receiving. I believe Shipley will be a legit RB 3 who carries the ball some. I believe they drafted a WR specifically for the slot. I think the motion stuff...etc. All of this is so Hurts runs less. Not more.

The point is... the 3rd WR has to be able to function in the slot.... we haven't had that since Agholor. Quez was not that guy.
