You think so...you think the 2024 O will be built around Hurts running the ball?

It’s clearly an element.

When you see Hurts say... 95% of the offense is new.

Lane say, Hurts has had his best offseason as a pro.

Smith talk about the freedom they have in their routes...

Your first thought is the 2024 Eagles offense is built around Hurts running the ball?

It’s built around many things. Number one thing it should be built around is our QB. So QB runs will be in there.

Our Oline can be dominant run blocking. So really should establish that physical attacking mentality up front by featuring and wearing dow opponents on the ground with our RBs.

Would like to see the undrafted Georgia RB possibly factor into this approach.

So the report out goes into just how much the O was Siri’s last year…not so much Johnson. That Siri was even playcalling…to what degrees we won’t know. But it’s rumored he jumped in playcalling more during the slide.

We all knew Johnson was a sacrificial lamb. But really seeing how much he was the scapegoat for Siri with a bit more understanding of how much last seasons O predictable and stale features were to be placed at Siri’s feet.

This knowledge makes me understand the dynamics involved a bit more between our HC and QB. Siri’s O with a very heavy hand….but he keeps his job….while Johnson takes the fall.

Had Johnson at the perfect spot as QB coach. Really dumb decision to have screwed that up on purpose.

Nussmeir’s extensive background being a QB coach:

I think there was a one year overlap with Coach Doug and Stout at Bama

Coach Doug has a more impressive resume than our HC…if you take out the HC for us part

Where did this story even come from? How did this get generated? Feels like FO knew Siri needed some huge boost of any credibility. So right before TC to counter all the hot seat lame duck news about Siri…they get their buddy with the Inquirer to pump out this fluff piece. Anonymous source says….Siri’s great! Hahaha

That instead of close source to Lurie knows that Lurie decided to hire a bum…thought it would be an interesting experiment. I don’t know…what would be the alternative to the guy backing his own hire…on a season he hasn’t even played a game in yet?

Lurie thinks the guy he just made the decision to hire for job this season was a terrible choice? How would that almost even be possible to regret yet from the guy that made the decision?

But we’ll see what Moore has cooking up

Johnny is intriguing. I could see him in the TE 2 spot near the GL. Give the rook a litle playing time down there. He is a big WR nearly a TE

TE just shouldn’t be that huge a priority in our O. I’d be more concerned with a third WR probably than TE1 even.

Nah TE 1 is one of our best positions. Not that hard to find WR3 vs TE1. First he needs to be TE2 and play his way to TE1 when Goederts time is done

"Jeffrey thinks Nick is the real deal,” said a former Eagles executive in a recent conversation. You could feel the guy’s eyes roll over the phone.

Nice story bro

I just want him to be that outside WR. That alone would be huge!

When you have 3 WRs.... how many TEs on the field?

Which formation does a WR3 play more than a TE1?

I agree we need a 5th option....  to go along with RB, TE and 2 WRs.    If it's a stud TE 2 or WR 3, I don't care.

But we need a WR 3 that can get open in a phone booth.  Not a " deep route" extend the field guy.

I'm fully in with Ainias being our slot guy after this year. he should take it over from Paris at some point.so for me finding the nest TE is where I will look

Evidently WR3 has been incredibly difficult for Rosie to find. Quez, OZ….old man Version of Julio. Heck Hurts even threw TDs to OZ and Julio. Kind of showcases how important the role actually is. That our QB pretty much forced those guys to do something.

There I don’t believe you’re thinking about us so much. WR3 is light years more important than TE2 for us.

Not in the long run,I disagree. We need TE2 here to become TE1 when it's time for Goedert to go. They need to play and be groomed

Why I'm excited...is I believe the 2024 offense isn't going to be built around Hurts running the ball.   I believe Barkley offers a better option as a RB running the ball, plus pass protection and receiving.   I believe Shipley will be a legit RB 3 who carries the ball some.

I believe they drafted a WR specifically for the slot.

I think the motion stuff...etc.

All of this is so Hurts runs less. Not more.

Ainais is a quality return option. He can perform those YAC creation plays. But we don’t really need a Slot specific guy really. AJ and Smitty are very capable of manning the slot.

Moore was an understudy/WR during the air Coryele years if I recall
