But I absolutely agree there was a disconnect between Hurts and the coach. I also believe more of the players sided with the coach. I also believe Siri had input in the offense, probably more than he wanted to. I just believe that it was because Siri/ Howie/ Lurie didn'r trust Johnson (Hurts boy) So who does that leave on an island?? So now 2024 ... Both coach and QB stay .... the moves were to get a new OC and immediately sign Barkley. 2 moves that tell the QB... the team is bigger than you my man. Time to grow up. And I believe this is a great thing for the QB and for the team. Also.. I believe the game management wasn't close to as good as it was in 2022. Time management and some other HC type decisions. So you take what Devonte said, " you can miss things big picture if you focus too much on one thing, now coach can see the whole thing better" I see it, now that he can let the OC do his thing, he can get back to managing the game etc. And the other good thing... enough Hurts stans in he fanbase and with Howie/ Lurie feeling they did a great job this offseason building the roster, Siri will have pressure on him to produce, just like the QB has to prove 2022 results weren't a fluke, and that his stans are justified being upset at him having a 13th ranking. Plus for me, I like going into a season with a prove it mentality, rather than look how good we were last year. I believe they were a little full of themselves last year, including the guy with 3 patents " keep the main thing the main thing" " I had a purpose....yada yada A bit too overconfident at 10-1. If you remember the movie the Replacements, thats what was said in the locker room."what scares you the most" Falco answered "quicksand"

It would be hard to argue against that, as they made a concerted effort to upgrade their weaknesses during the offseason." IDK why Ham has so many issues, but this is one of the most talented teams I have seen the Eagles have. If you want to get into the nuances of coaching fine, but as far as pure talent all across the team,it's hard to best this one if Jurgens and Steen are OK. I don't expect either to be pro bowlers out of the gate, but you can be solid reliable and do your job

In Playstation mode... you can make all the decisions.... in real life you need other people to agree to everything, and there are 31 other teams involved in competition for each player.

I usually focus on offensive skill players although the trench guys are the guys that really get it done if you want success

July 19, 20241 yr Author IDK Rogers seems tiny for a CB. I'd like us to work on Mekhi Garner(LSU) He has alot of nice attributes, but he needs to pick his speed up. maybe with weights and dropping a few pounds we can get him into usable shape. Like to at least see him on the PS for now. he could be a nice BU for DeJean as a slot CB

I am more optimistic. Of course it's hard to replace a legend, but he has a great chance to replicate what Kelce did

Steen played,he should be better when he gets the job in his lap. Usually when responsibility hits you tend to play harder than when you go in as a BU because now you know it's "on you" and I need to see the new scheme and how these LB's are used

Cowboys came backwards some from last season. But both teams have projected win totals in Vegas at 10.5. According to the true professionals it’s pretty much a toss up.

But I don't see either riding pine at the end of the year Fangio…probably. Pretty close. I’m not like totally in awe of either really. But both have long proven NFL track records. Neither will get a shot at a HC job anymore. So both are career DCs at this point. Both very experienced. But I don’t see either as of the quality of becoming some legendary defensive masterminds. Fangio has the distinction of having his D adapted and modeled by many other D minds. Think he can be more multiple than Schwartz more vanilla. More than one word answer….but there you go.
