This is just faulty logic the way I see it. Some players just need more time to develop. Slot WR isn’t easy to play at all. Talent is one thing…being ready for NFL game day production is a whole other beast. Plenty of super talented players never even make it in the NFL.

I just don’t get your problem.   The 5th option on O always flips depending on formation.   I have talked about getting the stud 5th weapon on O for a while with GB.   Would be great to add a stud to Barkley,  AJ, Smith and Goedert...what is ALREADY IN PLACE!

Your boy has been working with Goedert as recently as this weekend down at his high school in Houston.  Obviously that's Hurts boy.  Now you want to get rid of him for " your vision of the offense "??  An offense that makes no sense...forget about the league, but specifically for this Eagles team.

A strong arm QB could skip a TE and go with all WRs.  

Hurts isn't a strong arm QB.

A running QB could use a TE that can block....  and another guy that can be used to catch a screen and get YAC 

Why would it make specific sense for this Eagles offense to swap Hurts for a slot WR?

Except for when we steal a trade from the Saints, then that rookie we would have drafted would have a huge impact  ... because the agenda against Howie?

AR is the best. I don’t even think there’s anybody other than you to even approach decaying this fact. The league has clearly shown they want to king make with Brady and now Mahomes. So it’s clearly both. They’ll manipulate the field conditions and have the refs favor the Chiefs….plus they have the top coach and QB.

I don’t want to get rid of Goedert. Just stating my opinion of how I could see the third WR being as or probably even more important. Easily seeing 3rd WR as more crucial for us than TE2.

Not sure why you hold the coach who’s job it is to teach and come up with the plan to explain to his QB to a lower standard than the QB? You’re fine with the playcaller being ignorant and not coming up with answers and are critical of the QB should have more knowledge than the HC.

Burrow threw a 70 yard pass...over the Green Bay safety....right into the hands of Chase for a TD.

Hurts isn't throwing 56 yards....let alone 70 .

It wasn’t a steal of a trade. It was a fair trade.we had a very unique great opportunity presented for us to win the SB that season. So trading away talent to keep off our opportunity to win the ring is a tough decision to get behind. Did we need a S in 2022, 2023, 2024…? Yep been a need the whole time. Great draft setup we could have trade back to that Grouping of what’s proven to be a successful class of S …plus added picks in the trade back. Win/win. Is what it is. We didn’t win the SB. Had the 31st ranked pass D last season. Spent draft capital at the position still. While still quite frankly needing the S.

It was a streal of a trade because the Saints were desperate.   It's why in business you always eliminate emotion from a decision.  Absolutely a steal of a trade for the Eagles...everyone article you find on it said so...any chart you read would say so... only your agenda against Howie says otherwise.  Just brutal

Using Goedert correctly fits things specifically and why Goedert production fell last year. Used right he is a top 5 TE

It's called transitioning. A round 1 drafted player could take 3 years if he cant transition a round 5 guy could play if he gets the NFL down quickly

That’s tough to really make the case for. But if you think so. I gave him top ten…think he’s quality all around TE. I’d have to really get into breaking down the position league wide to form an exact opinion.

Some guys stayed more for potential. Some guys are more NFL ready. Both play major factors in draft positioning. Smith doesn’t have the first two draft days ceiling ability even. But also needs development. Sounds very critical of him. But I like the pick and believe in the player adding to our team some specific elements. I’m just not sold on it happening week one like you. I’m not even sure how much a factor he’ll be for us his rookie season.
