So VERY CLEARLY the Lurie/Howie combo  ( I love it when you try to give any negative innuendo that it's just Howie... no obvious agenda there)  ... very CLEARLY they look at the coach'es idea for coordinators.   Very VERY VERY clearly they like the CEO type coach, that manages it all, and they are interested in having good coordinators.

So then why do you think they want to bring in an offensive " genius"  who would be very hands on with the offense instead of a CEO tyoe head coach that oversees it all.. in a less hands on method?

Wouldn't the idea that they got their " puppet: in place...and all they need to do is make sure he has good coordinators?     Now you think they want the opposite... the ego of the offensive " genius"  who has tunnel vision???   Especially after Chip????

They fired Doug because he wouldn't go outside with getting new assistants... that's CEO type reasons... they didn't fire him because he wasn't an offensive genius.

You just described everything why Siri has the job... but now you think it goes the opposite next year?    All of a sudden Lurie/Howie change their philosophy????

Why do you say they like the CEO coach? Hired Pedey to be the O minded HC. Hired Chip being the O minded gimmick coach. Hired Sori the supposedly O minded HC. Not hiring sone very experienced CEO football guy. Hiring the green O minds.

O minded coaches are the hardest to obtain of quality. That’s why if you want a good one he needs to be made HC.

Nothing says CEO more than emotional and immature.

If the Eagles make the playoffs this year, then Siri becomes the 6th coach in NFL history to make the playoffs the first 4 seasons of his career.

The last coach to do so was John Harbough ..... remind me again... offensive genius?   ...oh  defensive genius??     Remind me... does he call plays?    Hmm... wonder what his job is then?   I mean, we can't have that type of coach... obviously that style isn't successful?

It’s become very clear every time Siri calls plays it’s a disaster. To begin is reign here he called plays…started out what…2-6. Made the playoffs despite him being so horrible. Dug our way out of the hole he created to make the playoffs. Then it’s being said he was calling plays last season plenty too…especially during the slide. Not good.

Didn’t Lurie just recent come out supporting Siri?

FO can have all the plans they want they not over ruling the Owner.

Is that what Moore wanted? Haven’t heard him express that.

I haven’t heard Moore come out and say he wanted any player lol… for a OC that best years came with Zeke as the center piece of his O have to image he is quite happy to have Barkley.

Why you acting like he called plays multiple times he only called plays at the start of his reign that’s it. Wasn’t good at it and handed the responsibility off realizing that is honestly a massive positive on Siri not a negative.

Just because your not a great play caller doesn’t mean your a bad offensive mind though

https://www.footballdb.com/stats/teamstat.html?sort=rushyds  click on the various columns. We are 7th or 8th on most until you click on passing yards, then we drop off the map to 16th and that's why Moore is here. The task at hand is to hold the ground game as it is(or better) and increase the passing yards. Lurie loves the pass. It's his team and that is what he wants to see. Whine all day in a corner with your binky about "what should have been done",but that is not going to change until Lurie wants to change it. I'm excited to see this team pass more while also beating teams up on the ground. I don't give a crap about last years play calls. I wasn't thrilled with them TBH,yet we won 11 games on tush pushes and ball hogging at the GL. The play calling can't be worse than last year, and now with upgrades at many skill spots and an OC who isn't scared(but maybe the QB is) of putting the ball in the air because he won't be viewed as "carrying the team" is what we need to see. Additions on defense should give the O more shots to score. If we won 11 last year with all our "issues" winning 1 more game than last should not present a problem. Easy. Keep or improve your ground attack, increase your air attack with threats anywhere on the field. Teach your QB how to make faster reads and get the ball away while having people on defense that can get the ball back for you. Not real hard to do with the moves we made and new coaches to deliver those goals. It's what Lurie wanted and now it's everyones job to make Lurie smile(not me,not you) and that is exactly what we are going to do. 12-5, division title and the SB goes through Philly....... book it. Prediction? You want my prediction?  PAIN. Let the whiners whine in the parking lot until they fog up the windows. Fly Eagles Fly

My dad(GRHS) taught me that there is nothing wrong with failing if you learned what NOT to do in the future. I think Siri learned what not to do. It's important for me that he did so,so we shall see,but Fangio is experienced and Moore is no dummy either,so I'm looking to see a different team than we are used to. Hurts has a big learning curve ahead of him,so I am glad he is working hard because that will either make or break us. I am optimistic it's the former. Should be alot more fun to watch this team

The article about Lurie...he likes a collaborative approach.   He likes proactive approaches...regardless if they work or not.

You see a lot of stuff addressed this offseason.  Nobody shying away from responsibility.... well, maybe the stans of one person, but that guy is said to be having his best offseason .

My thing....there were issues last year, that I don't think was going to get fixed last year.

1.  Was there a magic way we could have gotten the DL to rest after the Buffalo game?

2.  Was there a magic way we could add a bunch of new plays to the playbook?

The problems with the coverage I thought we could have addressed though... no more 12 yard cushion, Bradberry could have been benched...but to be honest,  it was one drive at the end of the Seattle game...wasn't a real build up.

Idk... I'm passed that ... they had time to analyze and seemed they addressed the issues.  Now let's see what happens.

Idk...I don't follow the TMZ stuff....just like I don't care about end zone celebrations or bat flips or whatever.   I'm too old to worry about anything but the game.

The coach....which is Sirianni... Moore is the coordinator.

The coach was said to prefer running the ball more... that was supposed to be one of the issues between him and Hurts...

Do you see any of the news that comes out....this was a national story just a few days ago!

Wow you are clueless...now this makes sense this absolutely stupid idea in your head.

They didn't hire Doug because of his offensive genius.  They didn't fire him because they thought he lost it

You just said they hired Siri because he had the plan to have the certain coordinators.

But now it's because of their offensive genius?

Article above(paraphrasing) said Hurts had chances to say something nice about Siri and did not. Handing the O over to Moore could reduce any friction. BUT,he will have his chances to praise Moore and he really didn't do that either. All Hurts said was it was "95% new" and Siri did not agree. So Hurts has been in the league long enough but still says it's 95% new? I don't see how that can be. I'm sure many of the pass plays could be new,but how many can their be? not close to 95%. I hope Hurts is on board because if the friction starts it's going to be a long year. I know Hurts is the quiet type, but he really needs to speak up if he likes what he sees. Maybe he will after camp

Lurie prefers a coach with am offensive background.    That's not " offensive genius"

You think he hired Siri over Moore because he thought Siri was better at Xs and Os?

Clueless

See...this is where I'm at.   Hurts has no choice....the owner/ GM basically said....grow up and do your job.

That is the growth I'm talking about this offseason.  Things the players are all saying that is different about him.

Ham doesn't read these national stories from the usual journalists.... he likes Barstool, Bleacher Report,  TMZ, Planet Saturn Sports etc.

More importantly...and it seems Lurie is big on this....

Just because you are a good play caller, doesn't mean you will be a great coach.

You fell for this fluff piece too? There isn’t even actually any news or anything story in this story. Clearly just a favored called in by Lurie to do something to counter the vibe of Siri being completely dead weight going into TC

You get the feeling Fangio got his way some this offseason. Reddick I think was already decided. But Huff, Baun….Jalyx. Rosie was getting him his guys to build the D. Can’t really say the deal with Moore and the O.

Because rumors coming out since stating it was completely Siri O last season…and that he did in fact take over playcalling at the end. I agree you can be great O mind but not necessarily a good playcaller. But you can’t be good O mind if you can’t adjust and fix some of the basic X and O shortcomings we sank under at the end.
