I know its not going to happen, but Id like to see Isiah Perkins DB make the team. He grew up and went to Williamstown HS where Im at. They love the local kids. Clement grew up 5 mins away from Williamstown in Glassboro. Williamstown always makes the state Championship in the group but never has any make it to the NFL so would be nice for him to make it. When I played for Cherry Hill East we only had Glenn Foley make the NFL and didnt do much at all.

Doubt it though.

Isn't that what Peters is saying? If that's wrong wouldn't the Eagles correct him?

Actually, that is what McLane’s source says Peters is saying. The Roob editorialized it and Kempski fed the fire by playing up Pryor playing LT and Peters playing RG in practice the reporters got to see.  If Peters has an issue, the Eagles and he are playing this out in private.

No PS, you want Pryor and Mailata to get maximum reps at swing T.  Prior has experience as a RG.  Seumalo and Peters next to playing next to each other.  Lane not even practicing. Who knows how they line up on game day.

Just put Peters on the PS where can make $10k a week until he's ready to play LT

This is getting comical isn't it? I have the same answer to this as I had for the TO debacle. Teams don't get money back when players under perform. Jason Peters signed a contract to play for the Eagles - they signed him with the intention of him playing guard. JP didn't have any other offers - or at least none that he was interested in. Matt Pryor isn't asking for more money now that he is the starter. He may have / probably has incentives in his contract for playing time /starts etc. But he isn't asking for a new contract because the way this works is you play under your current contract and prove you are worthy - then parlay that into a new contract. JP knows he isn't getting a new contract so he's trying to force a pay raise now.

Jason Peters is declining - he's not going to get better - he may not even be 2019 JP let alone 2007 - 2010 JP.  Anyone arguing that the Eagles should just pay him and move him to LT to protect Wentz isn't seeing the big picture. I think it's 50/50 that it's the worst thing they could do. You're looking at what JP was, not what he is. JP is looking at what he was and not what he is. He's lucky to have a contract to play in the NFL at this point in his career and should graciously play where ever the Eagles need him.

Bizarre hypothetical: would you accept a high 2021 first round pick in exchange for a 0% chance of winning the SB this year?

Season still plays through, they may get to the SB, you just know they won't win it.  No one else knows.  Only you have this crystal ball.  You aren't making the team worse, making anyone's development fail, or triggering any injuries in eliminating this SB chance.  You are just creating this hypothetical absolute scenario where they won't win it all this year.

Are the odds low enough for this year that you'd take the pick?

Unfortunately, yes. And if they get to the Super Bowl, I'm going to the casino to win BIG!!!!

Other duties as assigned.

What happens if the team concludes that Prior is a better RG than Peters so they figure they can make do with Peters at LT until mid season when age and injury causes them to insert Mailata?  Prior is getting sixth round draft choice pay and Mailata is getting seventh round pay.  Peters is prime Peters.  He was more Nate Soldier than Tyron Smith (who is slipping too).

Maddox playing opposite of Slay is getting fourth round money.  Mills isn’t getting Malcolm’s salary. Gerry is getting fifth round money (maybe), Riley third round money but Edwards is getting the minimum.  Sweat is getting fourth round, third year money. Sudfeld is less than $2 million. Shady gets year 2 second round money.  Scott is getting sixth round money or the minimum, Goedert getting third year second round money, Ward getting minimum, JJAW second year second round money. All the draft picks getting first year, their round money. All are getting less than the minimum Peters can make this year.

Nothing you said has anything to do with a veteran l.t.

I wonder how the fake noise will affect the NFL season. Carson has had difficulty with crowd noise in away games, but at home his hard count is excellent and usually good for a couple of jumps a game (hopefully Peters doesn't move to draw the flag and we can get free plays this year). I'm wondering if the fake noise will allow Carson to flourish more in road games this year.

it will be something like this:
CHEERCHEERGOEAGLESCHEERCHEERthrowtoohighCHEERCHEERCHEERCHEERCHEER

awwwwww INT.

there's a not so loud reason NFL & vegas are mandating they provide the crowd noise to be pumped in.

I know we are now pretty filled at Wr with speed, but I could see Howie asking the Panthers to move WR Samuels for either Jones or Douglas with a late pick. Panthers have expressed a need for CBs and have been taking offers for Samuel since hes on a contract year, and bring in two WRs this offseason with there top wide out. Im not huge on all speed, but I could see Howie making the call to talk.

If a CB can't make the Eagles team the only next step is the Canadian Football League.

It wasn't splashy but Cyprien for Riley and a pick upgrade was a huge win. Actually almost every trade he did last year was a win IMO

6th for Howard

7th for Ridgeway

6th for Jackson and a 7th

Hector for Ford and then picked Hector back up when he was cut

Bennett for a 5th was probably the weakest but he was a PITA

Clowney is probably just waiting for the season to start then sign somewhere.  Doesnt want to practice is my guess.

He has to sign by this weekend to pass his quarantine and then practice for week 1

Their roster is just absurd if they land Clowney.
Dlineman: Davenport, Jordan, Rankins, Clowney

That’s sick

Problem is Saints currently only have 7 mill in cap space and are in worse shape then up next year.

They clearly don't care about next year. This is their all in with the last year of Brees

Well their season ended on a controversial play or call 3 straight years.

Let's make it 4......😄

Predictions: Sidney Jones gets traded to the Jets for a conditional 6th round pick or a swap of a 7 for a 6. Anthony Rush will get traded to Minnesota for a conditional 7.

I feel like all of our D-ends look like pro bowlers vs whichever back-up guard or rugby player we stick at LT
