True.  But we want them to get the one seed.  Then they can lose in the division round and we get to host the NFCCG.

Yes but the same argument could be made about the Vikings. If they’re the number one seed and they lose in the division round, we could still host the championship game.

Does it matter? Shanahan can't close games to save his life no matter who his QB is.

Grant Cohn that covers the niners had a podcast where he said there’s some resentment by Shanahan with niners FO for not allowing him to go with darnold.

Minnesota smokes them next week.

I actually think the Lions win that game. I have no basis for this other than I just think the Lions will win.

Detroit appears to be more vulnerable to a loss in the division round.

Ben Johnson is just silly good.

Please win next week Vikings.

Take note that Detroit often goes to St. Brown from the near slot in must have situations.

Either way we have the DBs to lock down their passing game.

Sorry if I missed it. Are the Eagles eliminated from the one seed at this point.

I don’t really agree or understand the rules of CPOY award but if Geno Smith won it than Darnold is more than deserving.

Yes. They are locked in at #2.

The Associated Press, after years of providing no guidance whatsoever for what "Comeback Player of the Year” means, has finally given the voters something more than "comeback.”

"The spirit of the AP Comeback Player of the Year Award is to honor a player who has demonstrated resilience in the face of adversity by overcoming illness, physical injury or other circumstances that led him to miss playing time the previous season,” the AP told voters on Tuesday.

In other words, "Coming Back from Sucking” is no longer a thing. Likewise, "Coming Back from Being a Backup” apparently doesn’t qualify the player for the award.

Shocked Deebo hasn’t taken him out yet this game.

But lions have weaker defense and if they are not eliminated in divisional round then I like @Det better than @Minny..

Good, the way it should be. I didn’t understand players winning "comeback” when they never were good.

Yes what exactly are they coming back from? Sucking? I dont get it either. I understand the guys that had a crappy year when they are usually good winning it. I dont understand them always sucking ass and then winning it

Because he was their 3rd round pick last year.

Paint me like one of your French girls

Also what the hell is Dan Campbell doing? Why are they treating this like a must win game? I get playing the starters some but it’s silly running Gibbs so much and still having Goff out there given all the injuries they already have.

Yup. I still think they should just add a "most improved” award. Zack Baun winning comeback player would be stupid. Winning most improved actually makes sense.

So coming back from being a New York Jet doesn’t count ??
