ASU came a,k the way back

Was going to mention how he could get injured in the playoff game but we're going in circles. You think it was a good choice to sit the starters and I don't. Agree to disagree

Hoping they pull off the upset.  Been a great game.

He's their best CB. He was the only guy who gave AJ problems in week 1. If he's out, I'd much rather play GB than WSH.

Love the ending…

The end of the Falcons game was a perfect encapsulation of this discussion:

All we had to do was run the ball 1 more time, burn 30 seconds off the clock, which would have made the Falcon’s final drive impossible and we win. Just give up and you win. Instead, we threw on third down, because it would have been cooler to end the game with the ball. That way they never get the final drive and we just kneel. But the risk was completely unnecessary.

It’s not just about Saquon getting injured. What if he doesn’t get the record? What if he has 14 Carries for 59 yards at halftime. "Play him in the second half, just keep feeding him! He’s so close!” Now NYG is just stacking 8 in the box and he has 25 Carries for 81 yards through 3 quarters. This is the Giants Super Bowl, they will do everything possible. "McKee throws 5 TDs? We’re tanking anyway. No way our Benedict Arnold gets this record.”

Funny thing, I don't think there is a man playing with the Giants who feels this way at all.  First of all, the Giants PLAYERS are not tanking, last week showed that.  The PLAYERS want to win.  Second, Barkley is still very well respected by the Giants locker room.  The players saw the same clip the rest of the world did regarding the fact that the Giants' brass made the decision to move on from Barkley and ride with Daniel Jones.   And the irony of ironies is that BOTH are now gone.

But, oh well...

Also... I think I want Cam Skattebo on this roster next year.   FB, RB, and QB?!

This is the most confusing post I’ve read in quite some time.  Terrell Davis actually WAS the engine that powered multiple Super Bowls — but nobody cares about him — while Barry Sanders never accomplished squat in the playoffs — yet he’s a legend ….. ???

Agreed, I removed the Sanders part. Bad way to make my point. Really was mixing 2 points.

So point 1, Super Bowls are more important than the rushing record.

Point 2, people know who the truly elite backs were. Davis was a great scheme fit, did power a Super Bowl offense. But people don't put him in the Jim Brown, Barry Sanders, etc. conversation. Nowhere close.

Eric Dickerson was a great back who never won a Super Bowl. He's now known widely only for a single season record despite his great career.

The correct decision is the one that maximizes the chance of winning the Super Bowl.  Thankfully that is the decision they made, instead of listening to the stupid idiots who care more about a meaningless record.

Ok. I don't know all the rules of that, just that Siri said he's still in the protocol. I thought that meant he can't play.

To get out of protocol, he has to practice, but the team hasn't practiced yet... so he can't be out of protocol.

Hey i turned off injuries on maddenzzzz so he should be good to go every week

Stats are everything. How else does one get into the hall?

I just open my bedroom door and walk forward.

Cam Skattebo going out on his shield. What a performance.

So you want to prioritize the record over the SB victory?

Also, last time I counted the Eagles had won exactly one championship after 1960.

One doesn't necessarily preclude the other.  And eschewing one doesn't guarantee the other.

Knew that kicker was missing that FG

Everything that can go wrong for Texas has gone wrong in the 4th quarter.

OK let's be real, who TF cares about Eric Dickerson in 2024? He's a name on a screen every time a RB gets 2000 yards.

They don't talk about how cool he was. The Hall of Fame career he had. They really don't even bother showing his highlights when they talk about the record. Nope, just a name on a screen.

Nobody cares about Terrell Davis or Jamal Lewis or Chris Johnson either. We all know Saquon is better than those 3, everyone knows.

So would you rather be the engine that powers potentially multiple Super Bowls? Or just a name on a screen in 40 years?

Conversely, how many highlights from the 1984 Super Bowl have you seen recently?  Do you remember who played in that game?  Who won?  (No cheating!)

You can only have one top priority. Make a choice.

That's gotta be targeting.

  Did you ever watch Barry play?  If you did, then you know why he's a legend.  If you didn't, I feel bad for you.  If you did and you still ask that question, then I have nothing to offer you

apparently not

Why the hell would they call that targeting? Is CFB that soft?
