Yes.

I haven’t seen an off ball LB be so complete this season. Baun is lights out in coverage as an ILB, a wall against the run, can sack the passer, produces TFLs and PDFs, and can lineup anywhere in the box other than DT.

Maybe he plays as well next year, maybe he doesn’t, but THIS YEAR he’s the best LB in the league and I don’t think it’s particularly close.

I love the PDFs he is making.  It's one thing to rack up the LB stats. And somehow he is still finding time to get a whole bunch of office work done out there in the field too. They say he even unjams the copy machine and changes the toner on 3rd downs.

ESPN did a simulation for the rest of the season all the way to the SB.  Had the Eagles losing to Washington this week and Dallas the following week but beat NYG in week 18.  Had the Eagles losing to Detroit in the NFCCG and Buffalo beating Detroit in the SB.

I can possibly, maybe see them losing to Washington.  I don't see them losing to Dallas or NYG.

There isn't a serious prediction model on Earth based on this seasons data that would predict the Eagles losing to the 2024 Dallas Cowboys in Philly, unless they added a 'pull a random bad result out of your electronic ass' modifier.

They've put too much weight on previous years data and it's made them look like a collection of horse anuses.

I mean there may not be and all of the data and the history points to us winning that. We tend to beat them in Philly, they tend to beat us in Dallas. They’ve lost their starting QB, we are fighting for the #1 seed. But it is a division game and we could be looking beyond them depending how the next 10 or so days go.

Nice! We have the first real life office line backer.

Wait... Terry Tate wasn't real life?!

So clearly madden is so close to real Life

If we win the next three games, would it be the first sweep of the division since 2004?! Repeating is tough enough, but sweeping the entire division doesn’t happen very often.

Toughest test coming on Sunday. Defense has to consistently stop the run and we should win the game handily…

The Jets used to be a laughing stock.   What are they now?   What's the next tier down?

First sweep since 2004... and the division still won't have a repeat winner since 2003-2004.   Maybe the Eagles can finally break that streak next year.  Maybe.

So we have tests to be passed still...... Lol

I think Washington is now going to try to shutdown the passing game and Saquon is going to eat.   I also think AJ will still have another big game. Eagles have been fantastic on the Road this season.

It will be a test until the final exam in the SB. 😅

I think they will try everything to stop the running game and make Hurts beat them. Even with the success he had last week, I still think it’s the only formula that opposing teams will use in trying to stop our offense. IMO, it’s the only shot they really have. If the running game is working, they will not stop the Eagles. Only turnovers could derail them then.

Thing is… We don’t really know how much success Pittsburgh would have had if Saquon didn’t get banged up and missed a lot of the first half. Even then he had what nearly 70 yards? So a quiet day for him but that’s effectively in less than 3 quarters.

Looked up some early mock drafts and almost all of them have Jalen Milroe in the 1st rd, some in the top 10. Does the 2025 draft suck?

Was it deacon Jones who could break a helmet with his helmet slap back when it was a legal move? I love the throwback physicality from Carter (since he's on our team).

Absolutely. The rule against head slaps is specifically the Deacon Jones rule.  The inventor of the sack.  (Not the TFL of a QB, but rather the term "sack”.).  His head slap was vicious.

26 is looking far better but who knows

I dunno. It seemed like they did a pretty good job stopping him. Lots of runs were for short gains. You’re not gonna be able to completely stop him, but that was a decent job, even before the injury.

If you have to pick your poison, I think you pick Hurts beating you will consistent passing. It’s really the only option IMO.

Jayden Daniels is moving better now than when we played him. He's likely recovered a bit from his rib injury.

At the same time, they've lost Ekeler, Noah Brown and likely Ertz for this game. That's 3 of his 5 best targets from that game (Robinson, Scary Terry). Play the run/contain, double Terry and we should be fine.

And as in my example of changing the number of points for field goals from further away, they are also harder... and fantasy football also offers more points for long kicks than for short ones.  Maybe the NFL should change the field goal rules too!

The 3 point shot fundamentally changed the game and the game is on the decline now that the analytics have made it the preferred shot.

I wonder when the 4 point shot will be introduced to "improve" the game even more.

jacking up 50 3s a game with no defense to be seen turns it to 82 all-star games until the post season.

get rid or cap the 3 pt. shot and bring back hand checking.

In the first game the Eagles ran 45 plays in the first half for 3 points.

Our offense in that game had 3 missed kicks + one egregiously awful trick play.

Hopefully we'll run more gap schemes this time.

Yes.
