He looked fine.

Hmmm.  I have it scored 22 Eagles to 16 Vikings so Vikings would win it.  Carolina with a couple of upsets though could swing it.

They signed Foelsch today so PS is full.

Then, if Harris were cut and then added to the PS, Tarron Jackson or KJ Henry becomes superfluous.

I would claim Campbell just to avoid Detroit or Minnesota getting him.

I believe we'd pick ahead of each because of our lower SOS, but aren't sure.

Someone else would likely claim him before us though.

Sounds like Dickerson is fine?  I bet they are going to be extremely cautious and will be happy to give Steen work for the next 3 weeks though.

I doubt it.

We’re still in the hunt for HFA throughout the playoffs. We’re up against a divisional opponent who will likely be in the playoffs.

If he’s healthy he plays.

100% this.   Why are they awarded an extra point for not even trying to score from closet to the basket?  Such a stupid rule.

Hey, I can't get the ball close to the goal, so if I just shoot from 30 feet away, will give me an extra point for sucking?

Why not award 4 points for field goals from 40 yards away... and 5 points for from 50 yards away?   Why bother trying to get the ball closer?  Reward ineptitude or laziness.

It's all analytics driven.  You shoot more 3's, assuming you make more, you score more points than if a team shoots mostly 2's.

You see blowouts all the time with a score of 134-102 or something similar.   It's because one team took and made their 3s while the other team had a bad night shootings their 3s.  It's a terrible way to play.

I don't mind shooting 3's but I'd like to see drives to the basket, mid range.  I miss the days of seeing the ball dumped down to Olajuwon, Ewing, David Robinson and watch them go to work in the post.

Adam Silver is going to have to do something to change the product.  People won't be happy I'm sure but as long as it improves the game, nobody will care.

What scares me is the younger generation of kids watching that don't buy tickets or jerseys because they're way too young.  They probably love the product because that's all they've seen but they aren't really consumers yet.

Disagreement.   The Sky Hook is far more difficult... which is why even to this day, no one has ever mastered it the way Kareem did.

That's why you have so many "3 and D" players across the NBA.  Which I find hilarious, because they aren't really "3 and D"... "D" in the NBA is much more of an idea than a reality.   And when I watch the NBA, most of the 3s are taken with no one really in the face of the shooter these days.  And its often thrown out to a guy who's just standing there waiting for the ball to be passed to him for a spot up 3.

But hey... if the current NBA product is so great, you'd have to ask why the ratings are so far down... and why they had to create a hokey in-season tournament in order to try to build up artificial interest in a game in the middle of November.  🤔  Something there doesn't seem to add up, does it?

Even more difficult … BLOCKING Kareem’s sky hook:

Depends when the claim is. It’s the same situation as the seeding tiebreaker. Currently Minnesota has a lower SoS but that will likely flip by the end of Week 18. But if Campbell was cut tomorrow, Minnesota would have priority over Eagles.

Currently the only teams ahead of the Eagles is Detroit and Kansas City.

Chargers PR remains elite

From a basic analytics standpoint shooting 33.3% from 3 is the same as shooting 50% from 2 — but you’re not going to draw fouls and get to the line at nearly the same clip by chucking 3’s all night.

Part of the departure from the big man’s game was the strategy employed to "Hack-a-Shaq” because too often the big men couldn’t shoot foul shots; they went 1-of-2 or 0-of-2 and the other team got the ball back.  With the gift of hindsight, the proper thing to do would have been award two shots plus possession for the deliberate hacks.  That would have put a stop to it immediately

NFL really gonna ride that Damar Hamlin story as much as they can. Pro Bowl? Give me a break. Guy is a liability.

The hoopla around Hamlin once he was stable is one of the corniest sports things I've seen in a while. Thought we were over that.

If he doesn't make it it's BS.

Baun is the best off ball LB in the NFL this season. That much should be clear by now. You literally have to get him in coverage vs a WR 20+ yards down field on a trick play to beat him, and even then he’s stride for stride and your pass better be perfectly thrown and timed, otherwise he turns around and picks it off.

He’ll make the all-pro team, maybe not 1st team since he’s a nobody, but he’ll make second team at least. He might not make the 1st team pro bowl roster though.

To average over 40%+ from NBA 3 point distance takes a lifetime to master, especially while being guarded.

It gets tougher in high school, then even harder in college and if you make it to the NBA and still hit 40%+ from the 3 then you are one in a million.  That’s how difficult that skillset is and that’s why it’s worth 3 points every day and all day.

No doubt, but it’s as boring as can be.

Making the AP team is how you become known.  It’s not as much of a popularity contest…that what the Probowl is for

Should have just given Hamlin CPOY and that whole narrative would be done with.

I've moved over to the "not wanting to face the Buccaneers" camp.  That team is on fire right now, and they just absolutely torched the Chargers defense to the tune of 40 points.  Chargers are one of the teams that the Eagles are tied with for best scoring defense and the Bucs absolutely destroyed them.   No thank you, I want no part of that action.

Didn’t AJ Brown miss both of those Bucs games (last year and early this year)?  I think we were missing half of our oline in this year’s game too.

If Bucs come to Philly in the playoffs, eagles win by 2+ scores.  If there is one team they would be super motivated to face, it should be them
