Mostly new cast, using director and actors from Marvel, doing a completely different style like Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor Ragnarok mixed with Amazon's The Boys. Other than that, yeah it's the same.

Other than that, yeah it's the same. Got it, thought it was weird all they did was add a "the" to the title and I only saw pieces of the first one, never actually watched it all the way through. Sounds like I probably don't need to.

August 3, 20214 yr are there any good hbo series on these days? sunday night used to be hbo night & they had great shows on all year round. last one i watched was mare of easttown, which i enjoyed.

Suicide Squad should have been more like that, The Boys and been more about covert missions (which they did this in the TV show Arrow). They shouldn't have gone for a big sky beam with CGI army. And the way they tried to cram Batman and Joker in there made it like 2 different movies. I think the fun and irreverent style of James Gunn suits it a lot more. It tried to be too serious the first time. So far the new one has great reviews.

It tried to be too serious the first time. So far the new one has great reviews. I read the other day that Ayers (sp?) was very unhappy with the final cut of the movie. He said (roughly) that he filmed it as to be more about what each of the characters in the squad were going through and when he watched the final cut it was just a silly action comedy. These issues seem to pop up frequently in DC films, seems the higher ups get way to involved and interfere way much instead of just letting the filmmakers make the film they want.

Waiting for some good ones to return, but most won't until Autumn/Winter months.
August 5, 20214 yr Watched The Nevers this week. Not sure really what to think of it (it wasn't bad), need to see a bit more.
