The competency gap between our Owner/GM and the other three teams in our division is staggering at times.

The potential difference in playing the Packers vs the Rams is pretty massive if you ask me. I understand the importance of rest, dating back to the media hounding AR over how rusty things could get when he decided to rest his starters then after we locked in our seeding. But this very much feels like a mistake to forfeit a chance at the 2 seed which would be hosting the Packers instead of the Rams or Niners.

Agreed, plus when you put your players out in cold and rain for the #2 seed a week before, you might as well finish the job.

The tricky part is they need help. If all that was needed was a win, I think that changes things. I would at least start most starters and do some score board watching.

I said this right after the game. Hunt is absolutely in the throwing lane. It’s a tough throw. Low football IQs love to hate Hurts and Allen.

2 things: the only way I think Allen gets the ball to his wide receiver for a touchdown is to loft it in there. I think the only quarterback I’ve seen in last 5-6 years to try to rifle it in there and have the accuracy to do it has been Aaron Rodgers. And most of the time he’s not even trying that he is throwing that loft and leading his wide receiver so that the defender can’t make up enough ground to defend it. Which in that case would’ve been Campbell and I’m not sure Campbell even as good as he is is making up that ground to potentially break it up.

Second this is less of an excuse for Allen, but I absolutely hate what buffalo has done with their wide receiving corps. In years past it hasn’t been this bad. This is by far the worst iteration of that wide receiving corps. If we had those wide receivers, I would be furious at Howie for allowing it to be that bad. Just like i was in 2020. they don’t really have any besides Shakir especially if Kincaid is going to be injury prone at TE

If we didn’t lose that TNF game to the giants, i would bet we are playing our starters for this game. Of all the losses that’s the one that’s really is the inexcusable game as the giants had no business beating you. Others far more understandable

Maybe in the past but Harris has already shown quickly to be a great owner.

You have just shown the world that you have a low football IQ.

The entire twitter pathetic loser sphere killed him. For the throw only.

The pocket escape validity is like Calculus to a monkey for 95% of them.

I did not look at the pocket pressure because the throw was the football world’s focus.

If you (plural) are ignorant then you can watch that on repeat and never see Hunt.

I often ask LMGM football related questions because he is clearly not a look at a 4 second clip and freak out at the best QB in the NFL guy.

Do you feel better about yourself when you just randomly throw out weird passive aggressive 3rd person attack snark?

The line dropped from -7.5 to -3.5. Vegas thinks our backups will win.

It's a late game in the cold weather and the only thing between the Commanders a trip to the beach.

Rest our starters. Protect them from the Dan Quinn vengeance tour. I have little confidence that Detroit will win on Sunday anyway.

Yeah, I'd really like the #2 seed but I've come around to the bye week being the most important carrot in this. Sending the starters out there against a bad Washington team isn't going to fix the underlying issues on offense and there are certainly guys who are dinged up who would benefit from the extra week.

I wouldn't be surprised in the least if the Super Bowl is played without the #1 and 2 seeds again, sort of like when the Rams beat the Bengals a few years ago. In the AFC the Patriots and Broncos don't inspire much confidence, other than who else is there? The NFC teams, with the exception of the Packers and Panthers, are all close to the same caliber, IMO.

Congratulations on turning another topic into Hurts bashing. Are you guys on shifts?

I don’t think that’s Hurts bashing. It’s like someone last night asking about Hurts in a McVay/Shanahan offense. McDaniel is basically that same guy. He's another motion heavy scheme with a lot of west coast concepts that the QB needs to be quick in reads, timing and decision making.

Could Hurts do it? Maybe. But based on what we saw for 5 years now, Hurts skill set and that offensive scheme don’t feel like a match.

The Commanders D is a mess, Tanner is a solid QB, Bigsby is a solid RB, our backup interior OL might actually be better than our starters given their health, and our "backup" TEs seem like much better blockers than the starters. This board is going to be a sheet show when the offense looks more competent this week than it has all year. Can't wait pizza

It’s going to be hilarious and probably has an 80% chance of happening. McKee’s value will never be higher and I still don’t want them to trade him.

You managed to bash Hurts and Vrabel in the same damn post. I think you should be suspended. 2 weeks!

I think we all know what's about to happen. McKee and the backups will look good against a terrible Washington defense that is already mentally in Cancun. Tanner will throw for like 250 and 2 TDs, and we'll win 27-20 or something like that. WIP will spend the following week tirelessly calling for Hurts to be benched for McKee in the playoffs, and the South Jersey mouth breathers will be in heaven.

We all know this is what will happen.

Of all the ridiculous things that troll posts, that might be the most egregious.

Square peg, round hole. Which was basically the early Reid/McNabb experience until Reid adjusted and McNabb improved.

I keep wondering what we'll do with that 53rd spot on the roster. If I had to bet, I'd guess they sign Andre Sam to the roster so that he and Brown can play this week, and Reed and Epps can sit the whole game. But doing so means you likely have to either (i) elevate Pierce and play him at LT, or (ii) play Mailata. Playing Jordan should be an absolute no, so I guess Hughlett and Pierce are called up, and we hope Tanner isn't murdered. You could activate Williams at OT, but then Epps likely has to play. Maybe you can play Carter at safety in base, and only put Epps on the field in nickel. In my mind, you'd rather lose McKee to injury than Epps, so that makes the call.

I'd elevate Sam, play Pierce/Toth/Kendall/Pryor/Fred upfront, and tell Tanner to get it out fast.

I think Steen might play. I wonder if they would do a Johnson, Toth, Kendall, Steen, Pryor line. Pryor at RT is an obvious liability but is it any worse than Pierce at LT?

My wish list for 2026 EMB is the functionality where I don't see the replies to those people's posts. The replies are the only reminder they exist, and the reason I keep telling people "If everyone put them on ignore, they would organically disappear"

I thought about that, but there's 2 reasons I say no. First, if the point is to protect starters for the playoffs, then I don't want the guy who has been our 2nd best lineman out there (which is more of an indictment of Cam, Landon and Jordan than anything). Second, if the Commies are going to play dirty and look for payback, Steen is likely number one on their hitlist.

@e-a-g-l-e-s eagles! The Bills do not have great WRs but they do have a top 5 offense. Yes it’s a good deal because of Allen’s freak beast abilities but also Cook, very good TEs, and a great O-line.

They drafted a WR high and he did not really pan out.

They tried bringing in some guys that were not a good fit.

Davis was a key piece as a 2 or 3 but he left for a pay day. He is back.

Mack Hollis was a real nice depth guy. It was weird to move off him.

Diggs is a weirdo but the soured relationship is not just 100% on him. (and you can’t pay everyone)

They got Cooks recently.

Their TEs have been Goedert injured this year. (Goedert himself has been healthy for once)

They did not decide to purposefully have bad WRs and they did focus on TE and run game.

I’d be surprised if it was not a priority this off-season.

At what point can McKee look all world dominant and you guys stop finding Hurtscuses for why its not the same? McKee has only ever looked elite. Offense looks completely different, and bad with Hurts in. But theres always an excuse. No one could ever actually give credit for McKee doing amazing with all backups. Instead, its still excuses for Hurts.

Again, if it’s the play I’m thinking of, it wasn’t a designed roll out. He hit his back foot, quickly scanned and took off.

The play was probably dead on arrival anyway based on the coverage and route spacing.

It was the play in the fourth quarter right after the Devonta catch was overturned. Clean pocket and Jalen inexplicably bailed into pressure and threw the ball away.

I’m generally a Hurts defender but this was clearly a bad choice.
