Atlanta for sure. Cleveland. Maybe Miami and the Jets.

I don't think Morris will be fired in Atlanta. Stefankski is an interesting one and would be my top OC candidate. It depends how much they blame him for QB decisions or if that is mostly on Berry/Haslam

Super Bowlzzzz!

Howie has to channel his inner Billy Beane here. Billy traded Carlos Pena to force them to play Hatteberg. Howie, just cut Calcaterra so Nick and KP can't put him on the field.

She is the absolute worst. She provides no value whatsoever. This is all she "reports" anymore.

"Hearing an NFC team is unhappy with a top tier player... we'll see where that goes"

Gee, thanks for the insight, Josina!

"A couple of coaches have strengthened their cases for staying. One NFC one AFC." And then if the Dolphins decide to keep McDaniel or Browns decide to keep Stefanski she'll say later "See? Told ya!" The vagueness gives her reason to claim she was right later because she never provides details ever. What a fraud. And I wonder if she tweeted this while she was flicking her bean to Shedeur.

I’d love to know what it looks like when Latu is out there instead of Calcaterra.

Howie did a lot right but TE this offseason was a big whiff

Stefanski is a two-time NFL coach of the year; he would go straight to the top of the 2026 head coaching interview lists. He's been let down in a huge way by Andrew Berry in CLE and there should be a "mutual parting of the ways" for him to get out of there.

I don't think the Eagles will hire McDaniel regardless but the Dolphins should not keep him. He's not a HC with command of team.

If that’s the play I’m thinking of, yeah, it was a perfect pocket and he took off incredibly early.

That looks like a designed roll out with what I assume was to be 3 receivers at different levels all moving right with Hurts. Either poor routes, great coverage that didn't allow the receivers to get to their spots, or poorly designed route concepts.

Yeah he'd probably go to Giants. That's the top job available

I was pleased they found a way to keep DG at a reduced price -- that made total sense for both sides. Goedert's regression as a blocker has been concerning, and I'm not sure we could have anticipated it.

Granson is fine as TE3 and is an okay blocker, and Latu is an excellent blocker. The issue is the coaches keep playing the guy who can't block at all - Calcaterra is supposed to be a receiving threat.

I don’t know about that, this offense feels closer to the 2023 one than the 2024 or 2022 ones. There were multiple games last season and in 2022 that showed what this offense is capable of. Last year it was bludgeoning teams with the offensive line and Saquon and 2022 was about Hurts making plays with his arm and legs.

What games this season showed that there is another side to this offense that could explode? Because outside of the Rams game in the second half and Minnesota which were 2-3 months ago, I haven’t seen it.

imagine going from one crap show to another. Plus going from Miami to cleveland

McDaniel-McKee, yes! McDaniel-Hurts, nah, won't work.

The potential difference in playing the Packers vs the Rams is pretty massive if you ask me. I understand the importance of rest, dating back to the media hounding AR over how rusty things could get when he decided to rest his starters then after we locked in our seeding. But this very much feels like a mistake to forfeit a chance at the 2 seed which would be hosting the Packers instead of the Rams or Niners.

Here are the HC jobs that I think should/could be open this offseason:

Miami -- McDaniel simply isn't a head coach in this league as he does not command respect from players. I think Miami will keep him, but they should move on.

Cincy -- I think Zac Taylor will survive, likely because the Bengals are cheap and won't want to pay out his contract. But 3 straight seasons with no playoffs should get him canned.

Cleveland -- I wouldn't fire Stefanski; I'd fire Andrew Berry instead. But I think Haslam will fire Stefanski.

Indy -- Another one where I wouldn't fire the coach, but I think the new owner will clean house.

LV - Pete Carroll is done and should never have been hired in the first place.

NYG - Already open. It is absurd the GM is keeping his job.

TB - I think they have to move on after this collapse (assuming they miss playoffs). It looks like the team quit.

ATL - I list it as possible, but I think Morris keeps his job (I would give him one more year). The real issue seems to be the QB.

ARZ -- Gannon is dead man walking

When it's Tanner Time, you are never forfeiting anything.

The big issue is the backup secondary

Latest rumblings have said Gannon is probably safe, the Bidwill's seem to like him and don't believe players quit on him. We'll see.

If the Eagles go out early in the playoffs or even if they don't, but lose later because the offense looks awful, I think Lurie will make major changes to the offensive staff again. He's always been infatuated with Shanahan and his system and I think he'll poke around the best names that don't get HC jobs. And if Steichen gets fired, I think bringing him back will be priority #1. Like he'll be the highest paid OC in the league by far so Lurie can get him back. I think chances he's fired though are slightly less tha 50/50. But not impossible given they've lose 6 in a row.

Yeah, they can't sit everybody so I think the front seven will be adequate... Bennett-Carter-Syd-Sam-Ringo... oof.

I get the argument -- Nick/Jalen are undefeated at home in the playoffs. But I think you need to factor in 3 things. First, we are likely still favored against Washington with our backups (we beat NYG last year, and Washington is just as bad). Second, you still are reliant on Chicago beating Detroit, which isn't a gimme. Third, and most importantly, you have key guys who need time off -- Lane, Cam, Landon and Mailata on the OL, all the DTs and DEs who have played a ton when JC was out, etc.

I think rolling the dice on the backups beating Washington is a good bet. Maybe you go from 80% chance to win to 60% chance, but the reward (rest) is worth the risk.

Congratulations on turning another topic into Hurts bashing. Are you guys on shifts?
