Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

No way we’re not bottom 5 in this

Maybe this team is taking personal accountability and protecting teammates too far. Up next, DeVonta Smith will take the blame for the defense missing tackles.

Good luck with all that. I recall having this conservation back in January with a couple guys in here who were convinced the refs were gonna hand the Chiefs the win in the Super Bowl on direct orders from Roger Goodell. There was no convincing them that the notion was ridiculous, they were certain that it had happened and was happening again. Refs can't just be incompetent or human, there must be some sinister plan involving backroom deals to rig an outcome. I don't know what it must be like to go through life seeing boogymen around every corner like that, but I imagine it can't be pleasant.

It started out in favor of Dallas, in particular the play that should have been a safety. Everyone collectively rolled our eyes, thinking the fix was in. As the game went on the refs missed obvious calls they should have made against Dallas, but then also called against Dallas.

The refs are really bad and inconsistent throughout the entire league. The league really needs to stop adding and changing rules and focus on re-training their refs and aiming for consistency. They're human, they're going to get some things wrong in live game speed and from the angle they're at, but with replay and the league office able to review and all that, it should be more consistent.

The issue with being bad and inconsistent is that you can never know if it's intentional. I'm generally not a conspiracy person so I'd say it's usually just bad. But we've seen intentional acts surface in other sports because of all the money around and it's very hard to believe it hasn't happened in the nfl a few times. I'll say I don't think the league is trying to get a team in or out of the playoffs. I think it's gambling related

With Carter out, Jim Harbaughs tendency to be run-heavy, and our epic run defense disaster last week, I'm curious what Fangio will do to try and make sure they don't give up 300 yards rushing.

The Chargers are heavy 11 personnel, followed by 22 and 21. The Eagles have to show up or they'll get bullied again

Maybe they do some 4-3 on early downs, get Campbell dean and baun on at the same time. Maybe some 3-3-5 if they can get 2nd and long

Me too!

Final Bears Game Score Prediction Results

At the risk of repeating myself, "Well that sucked!" With that said, here are the week's prediction results. A total of 44 predictions were recorded with 12 for a Bears win and 32 for an Eagles win.

@pisceschica 's prediction of a Bears 24-16 win was the closest, only one point off, and wins the chicken dinner. @LacesOut was a close second with his prediction of a 26-17 Bears win and he gets a cornish hen dinner.

It was a better week for Bonus picks. Seven were correct.

@GoEagles5921 with "Bears 175 rushing yards"

@xxeaglesfanxx with "Hurts has 2 turnovers and the second wheel comes off"

@B3 with "AJ with 100+ yards and 2 TDs"

@kiwieagle with "AJ Brown with 80+ yards"

@SkippyX with "Hurts with 2+ TDs"

@mattwill with "It’s the Gof Bowl, Saquon gets more rushing yards than Byers, Toney, Cunnigham and Haddix combined (53)"

@Saltpeter with "Nolan Smith sack"

One more Bonus prediction deserves to be mentioned

@GreenbleedinNC was 2/3 right with "Once again the offense sputters and the D gets gassed. Bears kill us through the air Kmet gets a TD"

In the first eleven weeks the closest predictors have been

As always, please tag your prediction post with @mattwill that way I will be sure to see/record it.  Score predictions can also have an optional "Bonus Pick" tiebreaker prediction.  I will be taking predictions right up until Kickoff. If someone posts a prediction without a tag, please reply to it including the @mattwill tag.

Hope @mattwill is doing ok. Haven’t seen a thread for score predictions, or updates in here of score predictions.

If you’re well @mattwill , I’m going

Chargers 28

Birds 17

Bonus: 1 failed tush push and 1 Smitty TD.

I'm fin, just busy. With the game being Monday I let it slide a bit.

@mattwill

Eagles 26, Chargers 20. Based on absolutely nothing other than typically the Eagles find a way to win where the Chargers find a way to lose.

Bonus -- Dejean gets another INT

Eagles are trying anything to fix, even if it means getting slightly boob

Single biggest problem by far in the NFL is the officials have way too much power to decide the outcome of games and rules are a part of it. Its 3rd and 18 and you get some dinky illegal contact penalty seven yards downfield. Automatic first down. That rule has to go. Give me the old days when you could chuck a receiver as long as you didn't hold and the ball wasn't in the air. I bet some professional gamblers place bets based on the officiating crew the way some bettors bet on the jockey rather than the horse.

Short for he’s done in Arizona…

Haha I was looking for that GIF too 🤣

At this point they should just hire Terry Smith who has the heart of the team.

Ehh I'm torn on that. I know for a fact he's a good dude, but I also know it's dangerous to let players (especially kids) choose their coach. Most of the guys on this current team will be gone in the next year or two. I think they need a completely fresh start, but this is MAJORLY underwhelming.

Then again, their AD is a huge dewsh so I guess I'm not too surprised.

I think they need to have much more unifiormity in the calls. The automatic first down rule for illegal contact and defensive holding make no sense. Why is offensive holding a 10 yard penalty vs. 5 yards for defensive holding. The severity of the penaly rarely matches what the outcome of the play would have been but for the penalty. An average sack results in a 6 yard loss, why is a holding call a 10 yard penalty. How many runs result in a 10 yard loss?

Even with the Cowboys loss last night, the division can still easily be theres since the Eagles will uave to face Daniels twice.
