Beats the hell out of me. Sounds idiotic. I kind of think it simply comes down to AJ Brown wanted to go somewhere where he believed to be utilized the best and be dominant there. I think he just didn’t think he could do that here anymore after what the passing game looked like for better part of 2024 and 2025

Does sound made up to explain in one fell swoop all the weirdness of ‘23 and ‘25.

But that definitely tracks with something AJ would be miserable over and Hurts wouldn’t GAF about. And the Reddick trade, nothing ever really did come out about that.

EOD, The Diva comes with a full plate of drama that eventually divides the locker room. TO style. Who knew we would have another TO in our lifetimes?! QB1 gives you none of that drama. I never have any doubt of which version I'm getting when he steps on the football field and the compete level he will display. Team harmony and vibes will be off the charts this year. That comment that Barkley kept stating that the sidelines had awful energy and body language struck a chord. I think we know where that came from. ELIMINATED!

He’s a pouty dude, who’s been an issue since he got here for sure. Kind of like the dude i compared him to, but denying that his talent is wild. He’s a great WR, just a diva. We will see how he does this year if the injuries and lingering issues were a fluke health wise.

For those interested, AJ Brown had 5034 yards as an Eagle. Devonta Smith is at 5019.

Devonta is 2 healthy years from being #3 alltime, and probably 4 years from being #1

I really like DeVonta Smith. Dedicated, quiet & leads by example, great skill set, never hear any issues with him. I hope he retires an Eagle.

I didn't know they were that close. I guessed A.J. would be a ways ahead.

I like that the 1st round pick gives Howie optionality for the 2027 draft. He will evaluate the Eagles 2026 performance (the offense and Hurts, more precisely) and use those results as an indication on what direction he needs to proceed with that pick. If the Eagles tread water this season — 11 wins, early playoff exit — I think he’ll be very inclined to use the pick to jump up towards the top of the draft in 2027.

The Chiefs got Mahomes by trading picks #27 and 91 along with that future first to get all the way up to #10 overall. If the Eagles don’t truly contend in 2026 I can see that type of plan get put in motion for 2027.
