A 1st round draft pick in 2 years and a 5th rounder. Just about what I expected. Lot of hallulicinators in here who thought AJ was worth more. In spite of that, Howie raked in getting anything valuable for a guy who will be irrelevant in 1-2 years. And possibly as soon as this year. Shipped away damaged goods my friends. Mark that down. Now I know how it feels like to be the Lakers when they dump trash for treasures every time. LOL

The 2028 1st can be used to trade up in 2027 draft, doesn't have to necessarily wait that long to have benefit.

Eagles are the only team with two 1sts in 2028(for now).

Would I have liked more, of course. I was hoping for a 2027 first and 2028 third. There were literally two teams serious about trading for him though and one of them pulled out of the race months ago over concerns about his knee. Howie had zero leverage. Supply and demand is a real thing and there ultimately was one team who wanted him. To get a first round pick was good work. The 5th round pick is whatever. Howie will probably trade it at next year's draft for a 2028 4th so they can "get more" for Brown.

The Eagles were never getting a 2027 1st round pick for AJ. They wanted A first...they got it. They wanted some 2027 sweetener and they didn't get it. But the first was enough.

2028 makes sense. AJ goes off this year and then puts himself ahead of the team next year.

For the 5th round pick it's either New England's 5th rounder or who is the other team that the Patriots have rights to for that pick?

They should have held firm. The Patriots were never going into 2026 with just Doubs.

This will be remembered as one of Howie’s best moves, getting almost everything back after renting AJ for 4 years

The Bills got a 2025 2nd round pick for Stefon Diggs, a 2024 6th, and a 2025 5th. Diggs was 30 years old coming off of a 107 reception, 1,183 yard, 8 TD season.

Howie got a 2028 1st round pick and 2027 5th round pick for AJ Brown. Brown is 29 years old coming off of a 78 reception, 1,003 yard, 7 TD season.
