I’m guessing if it’s true (who knows) that he definitely doesn’t want this out there. I’m sure his family and wife definitely don’t want to see it, hear it or deal with it.Certain poster on here will believe it 100%
Yesterday at 06:16 PM1 day I am still moderately surprised that New England didn't address AJ's contract at all before giving up a 1st round pick. With only $4mm guaranteed after this season, I'd be stunned if AJ showed up for camp next offseason without a new deal. Now, I didn't think Quinnen Williams would show up in Dallas with less than $8mm guaranteed left, and he has (so far). But AJ isn't QW, and I have to think he will demand an extension and use the 1st round cost as leverage against the Pats. At the very least, they could have guaranteed his 2027 cash comp (only $21 million vs. $29 million this year). Setting up for a debacle.

Yesterday at 06:27 PM1 day [Crosspost from AJ Brown trade thread]Finally the REAL story of the AJ - Jalen rift is revealed! From a recent r/eagles reddit post:Him and Haason Reddick were f***ing the same massage therapist. Jalen found out and kept quiet because he wanted to stay out of it. Bry (Jalen's wife) brought it to AJ's then GF, Kelsey. Bry said they should break up. AJ and Kelsey went off on her. Jalen tried to play mediator. And that ended the friendship. TL;DR: this is all over a woman that Reddick and Brown were f***ing.https://www.reddit.com/r/eagles/comments/1tus97j/aj_brown_speaks_on_his_relationship_with_jalen/Nothing to do with their play on the field, as much as WASHERS would like to push that fake news!!!
Yesterday at 06:31 PM1 day Reddit is the worst website in the history of the internet. It's just terrible. And a terrible place to talk sports. It's built to be an echo chamber and frequent by pre teens and mouthbreathers.

He has so much leverage next offseason especially if he plays really well this year. That 2028 pick becomes leverage for him cause i highly doubt New England wants that 1st rounder to be a high pick. He could hold out and become a distraction if not given an extension. It could potentially cause issues and derail that team. I have to imagine they know AJ is going to ask for an extension or restructuring of his contract at that point. I think right now it’s honeymoon stage so he’s not trying to rock the boat but i could see after a big 2026 that he wants his big payday and if New England plays the game if we picked up your option it’s not going to fly with him being 30 and potentially risking injury and being cut for nothing in 2028.

That's a great contract given the market. Instead he can hold out next offseason and demand a huge extension/signing bonus.

Explained to them he’s going to be 30 next year with just 4 mil guaranteed and the wr market has gone up. So if he kills it his first year there, he definitely isn’t going to be satisfied with just having $4 mil guaranteed on his contract and just going year by year with options.

His effort and poor play led directly to losses against Denver and San Francisco. If you want out, so be it, but playing with effort is non-negotiable. He no longer was a trustworthy player here. It blows my mind the level that his teammates have defended him at least to the media. His crappy effort was all over the film. The two games I went to last year

I expected he'd hold out and he hasn't (yet). But based on what we know about AJ, I'd be FLOORED if he played 2027 under his current deal. If you trade a premium pick for a player, you have to extend them at the same time. To risk giving up a 1st for only 1 or 2 years of play is nuts. Howie does a great job of this. They are handing AJ and his agent all the leverage.

Imo feels like patriots might think them being his dream team that he’ll show up. I think at some point that honeymoon is going to end. It’s like they say never meet your heroes. Feels like that may eventually play out in NE with playing for NE
Yesterday at 07:14 PM1 day AJ Brown has been a Patriot for less than 24 hours. I'm pretty sure at minimum, he's getting more guarantees on contract before he plays one snap for them. That dude is all about the Benjamins. Winning is second.
